Abstract

The number of traffic accidents on roads from Palangka Raya to Tangkiling has increased. This is proved that it has increased every year. The road is functioned as the linking road among districts and it is also utilized as the main artery road. Accidents that are occurred in some parts of that road decrease the performance of the road. The aim of this study is to analyze the accident-prone area and its causes so that we are able to identify the handings of that area. This study aims to identify the blackspot points and variables that affect the accident rate (AR) as well as provide handlings for the accident-prone area. The statistic test was multiple linear regression tests using SPSS program. Based on the result of the analysis, it was found that the highest accident rate (AR) on the range of STA 3+000 to 4+000 on Tjilik Riwut road in Palangka Raya. Changes in land use, type of accident, gender, and high speed of vehicle make the accident rate increase. Therefore it is necessary to pay attention to the use of land beside the road so that the Road Benefit Space is free of all kinds of buildings

Abstract

The movement of people and goods is increasing in line with economic growth in society. This causes the potential for increased transportation activities in the City of Palangka Raya so it needs efforts to improve adequate transportation facilities and infrastructure. The application of technology-based Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Palangka Raya City is needed so that the management of the transportation system becomes more effective and efficient. This paper provides an overview of the application of ITS facilities and types in Palangka Raya City and provides recommendations for the use of new ITS facilities or optimizing existing technology so that ITS facilities can be utilized by stakeholders in traffic management and transportation systems in Palangka Raya City. Based on observations of the application of ITS in the City of Palangka Raya is applied to improve the performance of intersections and road services. The type of ITS facility is the Area Traffic Control System (ATCS), which is a vehicle traffic control system at the signal intersection to increase travel speed and travel time so that delays in travel can be minimized. It is also expected that the implementation of ITS in Palangkaraya City can also optimize the performance of public transport and traffic safety as well as the collaboration between stakeholders so that the improvement of the integrated transportation system can be well integrated.

Abstract

The International Roughness Index (IRI)'s survey is a longitudinal profile survey to determine Roughness Index of road. The purpose of this survey is to provide an overview of road conditions and provide input in optimizing the maintenance and rehabilitation of the existing roads in the city of Palangka Raya. The data used for analysis is IRI’s data from surveys on several roads that represent conditions in Palangka Raya City with the RoadLabPro application on car. The results showed that the Beruk Angis road had an average IRI value of 9 m/km. On the Yos Sudarso road with an average IRI value of 5.06 m/km. On the Tjilik Riwut road section, the average IRI value is 4.53 m/km. On the Beruk Angis road section with conditions of light damage to severe damage. Proper handling of the Beruk Angis road section needs to be considered for road improvement. The Yos Sudarso and Tjilik Riwut roads with moderate conditions and are handled with regular maintenance.

Abstract

The increase in fuel prices in the City of Palangka Raya has affected the increase in the fares of public transportation in the City of Palangka Raya, one of which is public transport travel. This study aims to analyze Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) and public transportation fares traveling the City of Palangka Raya-Kasongan route. The research location is at CV. Putra Borneo Travel and CV. Munir Travel uses a sample vehicle, namely the Toyota Innova. Rates that apply in CV. Putra Borneo Travel and CV. Munir Travel for the City of Palangka Raya-Kasongan route is Rp 100,000,-. Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) and public transport travel fares were calculated using the 2002 Ministry of Transportation method. This research was conducted for 7 days in February 2023. The calculation results show that the highest total Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) is CV. Putra Borneo Travel is Rp 7544.77/kend-km and the lowest is Rp 6846.79/kend-km. The highest Total Vehicle Operating Cost (BOK) for CV. Munir Travel is Rp 7624.13/kend-km and the lowest is Rp 7225.30/kend-km. The fare for public transportation travel for the City of Palangka Raya-Kasongan route for CV. Putra Borneo Travel, the highest is Rp 104,333,- and the lowest is Rp 94,681,- while for CV. Munir Travel, the highest was Rp 105,431,- and the lowest was Rp 99,916,-. The recommendation is for travel service providers to evaluate travel rates.

Abstract

In region that social activity, economy, and the culture increase can cause environmental noise, the noise occurs because traffic flow activity. The traffic noise is total from noise that raised from each vehicle in traffic flow. This research level of noise on Ahmad Yani Street is at office area, store are and traditional market, therefordo needs to be conducted in order to determine the noise levelon the area and to compare it with noise level stamdard which refers to regulation Ministry Of Environment. This research  consist of four time intervals by using Sound Level Meter. Data processing to determine the noise level and compare noise level standard. From the research conducted that the noise level occurs between 73,64 dBA – 74,51 dBA. The highest noise level is between 09.00 – 11.00 WIB that is 74,51 dBA. The result for the noise level of 16 hours during the day are 72,60 dBA. That is on Ahmad Yani Street exceeds the noise level quality standard by KEP.48/MENLH/1996 for office area and trade area are 50 – 65 dBA

Abstract

SMAN 2 Kahayan Tengah is one of the schools located in Bukit Rawi, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. In the school there are 150 students, most of whom have used motorised vehicles to get to school and pass through the highway. The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge and is expected to increase the awareness of citizens of SMAN 2 Kahayan Tengah towards traffic rules, signs and markings that apply on the highway. The method of activity implementation is in the form of socialization / lecture. The results of this community service can be seen from the results of questions and answers, interviews and fun quiz, there is a fairly good increase in terms of knowledge and understanding of students regarding traffic rules, signs and markings.

Abstract

Roads are very vital access or transportation infrastructure for human movement from one location to another. The materials utilized must fulfill the quality criteria established with respect for economics, availability of natural resources, and efficient distribution. This study used gold mine waste sand as a component of Hot Rolled Sheet Base. (HRS-BASE), this material has considerable potential that has not been utilized properly and is expected to be an alternative material in the area well as one of the steps to handle waste reduction by increasing its function value. Analyzing the characteristics of gold mine waste sand marshall with a composition of Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) of 7% resulted in a stability value of 975.522 kg, flow of 3.10 mm, Inter-Aggregate Cavities (VMA) of 18.600%, Cavities in the Mixture (VIM) of 3.221%, Cavities Filled with Asphalt (VFB) of 82.689%, and Marshall Quotient of 314.712kg/mm.
