Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was carried out on June 4 to July 13 2018 which was held at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit Pond of Fisheries and Marine Faculty, Riau University, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the addition of the best probiotic doses to the feed in increasing the growth and survival rate of  Hemibagrus nemurus with aquaponic technology. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a single-factor completely randomized design with five treatment levels and three replications. The treatments were :1) 0 ml/kg of feed (control), 2) 2 ml/kg of feed, 3) 4 ml/kg of feed, 4) 6 ml/kg of feed and 5) 8 ml/kg of feed. The results of the 40-day study found that the best treatment was 6 ml/kg of feed which gave absolute weight growth of 6.26 g, absolute length growth of 4.12 cm, daily fish growth rate of 1.15%, feed conversion value of 1, 03 and the survival rate of 93.33%. The results of measurements of water quality during the study were temperatures of 25 - 310C, dissolved oxygen from 4.3 to 6.5 mg/L, pH 6-7, ammonia 0.16 - 0.26 mg/L.  Keywords: Aquaponics, Hemibagrus nemurus,Probiotics,  Growth

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims to determine the the best doses of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) in commercial feed on the growth rate of Mystus nigriceps in culture of resirculation system. The experiment was conducted from 25 July to 24 August 2018 at Laboratorium Cultivation Technology Faculty of The Fisheries of Marine, University of Riau. This research used experimental method use was completely randomized design (CRD) with of 5 treatments and 3 replicates. Wich were treatments 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 mg/1000g of commercial feed PF 800. Fish samples used are the catfishes  with an average length of 4-5 cm and weight of 0,3-0,6 g are readed in aquarium (40x30x30) cm3 in a density 2 individu/L. The fish were fed with the rGH supplemented diet one three days 5% body weight. The results showed that fish treatment by rGH with doses of 2 mg/1000g feed was the best treatment than other treatment with value of growth body weight (5,15 g) and lenght (5,52 cm), specific growth rate (9,47 %), feed efficiency (83,05%) and feed convertion (1,21) of fish. That conclution is giving rGH significantly affect the growth rate  and the best doses are 2 mg/1000g feed. Keywords:Mystus nigriceps, recombinant growth hormone, resirculation system

The study aims of to influence the addition of astaxanthin in artificial feed to increase the color quality of Tiger Barb (Puntius tetrazona) and get the best dose of astaxanthin. This study uses an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) of one factor with 4 treatment levels and 3 replications. The dose of astaxanthin in the treatment were: 0% astaxanthin, 1% astaxanthin, 3% astaxanthin, 5% astaxanthin. The size of fish was used is 3-5 cm with 10 stocking densities per aquarium. Maintenance lasts for 30 days and feed is given as much as 3% of the weight of biomass, the frequency of feeding is 3 times a day. Parameters observed included fish color, absolute length growth and absolute weight, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that the administration of astaxanthin had a significant effect on changes in the quality of the color of the Tiger Barb. The best treatment was at a dose of 5% which improved the quality of chest color 12.77, body 9.16, tail 14.00. The best absolute length growth is 0.55 cm, absolute weight is 0.47 grams and fish life is 100%. Keywords: Astaxanthin; Color; Tiger Barb; Puntius tetrazona

Abstract

ABSTRACT          This research was conducted from February to April 2019, for 45 days in Breeding Laboratory Unit of Fisheries Faculty and Marine Sciences,University of Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to determine the optimal amount of stocking density in the maintenance of baung fish that was maintained with an aquaponic recirculation system and the addition of probiotics to the feed. The method used in this research was an experimental method with a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications, so that 15 experimental units were needed. The stocking density of baung used in this research is as follows: P1) 400 head/m3; P2) 500 head/m3; P3) 600 head/m3; P4) 700 head/m3; P5) 800 head/m3. The best treatment was obtained from P3, with a stocking density of 600 head/m3with absolute weight value of 6.18 g, absolute length of 4.89 cm, specific growth rate of 3.47, feed efficiency 98.91% and survival rate 93.06% . Water quality during the research was temperature 26-280C, pH 6.0-7.3, dissolved oxygen 4.3-7.0 mg/L and ammonia 0.01-0.21 mg/L. Keyword: Hemibagrus nemurus, Stocking density, Aquaponic recirculation, Probiotic

Abstract

ABSTRACK This study aims to determine the best dose of aquavita premix booster in enhancing growth, feed efficiency and survival of baung fish. Research containers used in the form of aquariums measuring 60cm x 40cm x 40cm as many as 20 aquariums with a stocking density of 15 animals / aquarium. This study used aRandomized Design (CRD) consisting of five levels of treatmentand four replications. Each treatment was given the addition of aquavita premix of P0 (0 g / kg), P1 (1 g / kg), P2 (2 g / kg), P3 (2 g / kg), P4 (3 g / kg), and P5 (4 g / kg) feed. The results showed that the best treatment found in P4 (3 g / kg) of feed produced an absolute weight growth of 6.21 grams, absolute length of 4.26 cm, specific growth rate of 4.60%, feed efficiency of 114.47%, and survival of 96.66%. Key word : Boster Premix aquavita , Hemibagrus nemurus, growth.
