Abstract

Bogor Regency is one of the areas that has a large enough rice seed business potential that can support the Seed Independent Village program. However, the availability of seeds needs to be supported by the resources and competence of the farmers around them, so they do not depend on other areas as seed producers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between farmer characteristics socioeconomics and the competency level of rice seed producers in Bogor Regency, West Java. This study used a survey method of 59 rice seed producers who were scattered in three sub-districts of Bogor Regency which were determined by stratified random sampling. The variables observed were farmer socioeconomics characteristics, management competence aspects and technical aspects of production. The data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and the rank spearman inferencing statistics. The results showed that the competence level of rice seed producers from the management aspect was categorized quite high, while the competency level from the technical aspect was 71.4% in the low category. The factors that have a relationship with the competence of rice seed producers are length of business, land area, motivation, production, income, counseling and access to capital

Abstract

Mangosteen fruit is a leading commodity from Barengkok Village, Leuwiliang sub-district, Bogor, as well as a commodity capable of penetrating exports. The environmental problem that arises during the harvest season and from fruit that does not pass export is the waste of its skin, so it is necessary to make use of it so that it has economic value for the community. This study examines a community partnership model through community empowerment in the use of mangosteen peel waste as a substitute for functional food. This study is based on the Women Farmers Group with a descriptive qualitative approach, demonstrations and training on the development of functional food processed products and assistance. The results of the study show that people's understanding and insights have increased from 50% who don't know to 100% of participants who know and understand how to use mangosteen peel into food processing, partners are able to independently produce processed products based on mangosteen peel flour with a turnover of 16 jars per month. Technological innovation in processing mangosteen peel into food, motivates people to become new entrepreneurs, because the product is unique and healthy and has a selling value. This partnership program provides solutions to address the environment and create additional income for the community.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Kabupaten/Kota Bogor yang masuk dalam wilayah Jawa Barat, memiliki luas lahan kopi rakyat terluas kedua di Jawa Barat yaitu 6.418,00 hektare dan Kecamatan Rumpin sebagai salah satu bagian dari wilayah tersebut yang menghasilkan kopi. Peningkatan produksi kopi akan terwujud bila diikuti dengan pembenahan tingkat pendapatan petani. Hal tersebut harus dikondisikan dengan merangsang petani untuk menambah produktivitas yaitu menambah harga yang diterima oleh petani. Usaha tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan memperbaiki sistem pemasaran pada bagian efisiensi pemasaran. Petani kopi di Kecamatan Rumpin belum sepenuhnya mengetahui pendapatan serta efisiensi pemasaran kopi, sehingga dirasakan penting untuk melakukan penelitian tentang pendapatan petani kopi dan efisiensi pemasaran kopi robusta mulai dari petani sebagai produsen hingga konsumen atau organisasi akhir dalam pemasaran kopi robusta. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pendapatan petani kopi berada di atas Upah Minimum Provinsi Jawa Barat yaitu Rp1.810.351,36. Terdapat dua saluran pemasaran di daerah penelitian yakni saluran dari petani ke pedagang pengepul besar lalu ke pedagang eksportir. Saluran pertama berlangsung untuk jenis biji kering (green bean) curah/asalan. Saluran pemasaran kedua yaitu dari petani ke kelompok tani, kemudian dijual ke coffee shop. Saluran pemasaran kedua berlaku untuk jenis kopi biji kering sortir. Kedua saluran pemasaran tersebut sudah efisien karena memiliki nilai efisiensi pemasaran <50%.   ABSTRACT  Bogor Regency/City, which is included in the West Java region, has the second largest community coffee area in West Java which is 6,418.00 hectares and Rumpin District as one part of the area that produces coffee. The increase in coffee production will be realized if it is followed by improving the level of farmers' income. This must be conditioned by stimulating farmers to increase productivity, namely increasing the price received by farmers. This effort can be done by improving the marketing system in the marketing efficiency section. Coffee farmers in Rumpin District do not yet fully understand the income and efficiency of coffee marketing, so it is important to conduct research on the income of coffee farmers and the marketing efficiency of robusta coffee, starting from farmers as producers to consumers or the final organization in marketing robusta coffee. The results showed that the income of coffee farmers was above the West Java Province Minimum Wage, which was Rp. 1,810,351.36. There are two marketing channels in the research area, namely the channel from farmers to wholesalers and then to exporters. The first channel is for the type of dry beans (green beans) in bulk. The second marketing channel is from farmers to farmer groups, then sold to coffee shops. The second marketing channel applies to the type of dry-sorted coffee beans. Both marketing channels are efficient because they have a marketing efficiency value of <50%.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini memiliki maksud mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi padi di Kelompok Tani Rukun Tani, Desa Ciampea Udik, Kecamatan Ciampea, Kabupaten Bogor. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis data memakai uji hipotesis dan uji asumsi klasik, teknik pengolahan data menggunakan alat SPSS versi 20 yang menghasilkan regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis determinan secara segmental, komponen produksi, luas lahan, biaya pupuk, biaya pestisida, dan varietas padi berdampak secara signifikan terhadap produksi padi. Peubah yang tidak berdampak secara parsial terhadap produksi padi yaitu faktor produksi tenaga kerja. Secara simultan faktor produksi luas lahan, beban pupuk, beban pestisida, tenaga kerja, dan varietas padi memberikan dampak secara signifikan terhadap produksi padi Kelompok Tani Rukun Tani di Desa Ciampea Udik. Produksi padi pada Kelompok Tani Rukun Tani di Desa Ciampea Udik sebesar 85,4% ditentukan oleh luas lahan, beban pupuk, beban pestisida, tenaga kerja dan varietas padi.AbstractThis study aims to determine the factors that influence rice production in the Rukun Tani Farmer Group, Ciampea Udik Village, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Data analysis using hypothesis testing and classical assumption test, data processing technique using SPSS version 20 which produces multiple linear regression. The results of segmental determinant analysis, production components, land area, fertilizer costs, pesticide costs, and rice varieties have a significant impact on rice production. The variable that does not have a partial impact on rice production is the labor production factor. Simultaneously the production factors of land area, fertilizer load, pesticide burden, labor, and rice varieties have a significant impact on the rice production of the Rukun Tani Farmer Group in Ciampea Udik Village. Rice production in the Rukun Tani Farmer Group in Ciampea Udik Village was 85.4% determined by land area, fertilizer load, pesticide load, labor, and rice varieties.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan usaha agroindustri tahu Djadi Sari dari aspek finansialnya serta bagaimana tingkat sensitivitas kelayakan bisinis terhadap perubahan-perubahan harga yang terjadi pada kenaikan harga bahan baku dan penurunan produksi tahu.  Penelitian ini dilakukan di pabrik agroindustri Tahu Djadi Sari di Kelurahan Kayumanis, Kecamatan Tanah Sareal, Kota Bogor.  Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Mei – Juli 2019. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder yang dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi langsung. Metode pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan Microsoft Excel untuk menghitung NPV, IRR, Net B/C, Payback Period (PP) dan Analisis Sensitivitas.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa usaha agroindustri tahu Djadi Sari ini layak untuk dijalankan dan dikembangkan dengan melihat hasil dari kriteria kelayakan yang diapatkan NPV sebesar Rp.554.345.382,- , Net B/C sebesar 1,98, IRR sebesar 39,83% dan PP 3,04 tahun. Hasil analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan bahwa jika terjadi kenaikan harga bahan baku sebesar 12% dan penurunan produksi tahu sebesar 6% maka usaha dinyatakan sudah tidak layak.

Abstract

The Women Farmers Group (KWT) Puspa Sari is one of the KWTs in Bogor that has succeeded in empowering members and the surrounding community to use vacant land to be productive. Currently, KWT Puspa Sari in Bogor City has business activities, including plant production, medicinal plant processing, marketing processed medicinal plants and microfinance businesses. However, some of the problems faced by KWT include the lack of knowledge related to postharvest handling of medicinal plants into ready-to-sell products. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the knowledge and skills of the management and members of KWT as well as the community around handling harvests, especially TOGA, so that they have added value and increased the selling price. Increased value added can be done by utilizing postharvest technology such as making simplicia followed by packaging and labelling. Packaging equipped with labelling will make the product more durable and attractive. This service activity consists of several stages, including the preparation stage, which provides surveys, targeting, and preparation of materials/materials and tools. The implementation stage includes exposure to material and practice and the training evaluation stage through satisfaction questionnaires and measurement of training activities before and after questionnaires training. This community service activity showed an increase in knowledge and skills in TOGA postharvest management by 18.60 percent after this training. Based on the satisfaction questionnaire distributed to the training participants, 80.31 percent were satisfied with this training activity. Hopefully, with this training, it is hoped that KWT Puspa Sari Bogor City can increase the added value of TOGA and can develop the marketing of cultivation products and postharvest handling of TOGA.Key words : Postharvest, the added value, TOGA, KWTAbstrakKelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Puspa Sari merupakan salah satu KWT di Kota Bogor yang berhasil memberdayakan anggota dan masyarakat di sekitarnya dalam memanfaatkan lahan kosong menjadi produktif. Saat ini KWT Puspa Sari Kota Bogor memiliki kegiatan usaha meliputi produksi tanaman, pengolahan tanaman obat, pemasaran hasil olahan tanaman obat, dan usaha keuangan mikro. Namun, beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi KWT diantaranya masih minimnya pengetahuan terkait penanganan pascapanen tanaman obat menjadi produk siap dijual. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengurus dan anggota KWT serta masyarakat sekitar tentang penanganan pascapanen khususnya tanaman obat keluarga agar memiliki nilai tambah dan meningkatkan harga jualnya. Peningkatan nilai tambah dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi pascapanen seperti pembuatan simplisia yang dilanjutkan dengan pengemasan dan pelabelan. Pengemasan yang dilengkapi dengan pelabelan akan menjadikan produk lebih awet dan lebih menarik. Kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap diantaranya : tahap persiapan yang meliputi survei, penentuan sasaran, penyusunan bahan / materi, dan persiapan alat, tahap pelaksanaan meliputi paparan materi dan praktek. Tahap evaluasi pelatihan melalui angket kepuasan dan pengukuran kegiatan pelatihan melalui kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan terhadap penanganan pascapanen tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) sebesar 18,60 % setelah adanya pelatihan ini. Berdasarkan angket kepuasan yang disebarkan kepada peserta pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 80,31 % dengan adanya kegiatan pelatihan ini. Diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan ini KWT Puspa Sari Kota Bogor dapat meningkatkan nilai tambah TOGA dan dapat mengembangkan pemasaran hasil budidaya dan pengelolaan pascapanen TOGA.Kata Kunci : Pascapanen, nilai tambah, TOGA, KWT
