Abstract

This paper analyzed the regional characteristic and the output growth. Using panel data analysis on 33 provinces in Indonesia, the result shows that the labor growth and net export positively affect the output growth. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe greater the difference in the distribution of the "pie" of development, the greater the disparity in income distribution that occurred. Indonesia is classified in the developing world can not be separated from the issue. This research aims: to analyze the effect of income distribution on economic growth in the city of Manado.The research methodology used is quantitative methods. Data used in this study is secondary data. The data will be used are time series data from 2003 to 2012. Data obtained from various sources such as data from Bank Indonesia, BPS Manado City is located in Manado and other agencies involved in the city of Manado. Data were analyzed through the method of Ordinary Least Squre (OLS).The results showed that 1) the distribution of factor income residents of the city of Manado as measured by the Gini ratio has a significant influence on the rate of economic growth of the city of Manado with a positive coefficient. This indicates unequal distribution of income goes in line with the economic growth of Manado, where the higher the level of inequality of income distribution, economic growth in the city of Manado will be increasing as well. 2 ) The effect of other variables that affect the economic growth of Manado include : first , the population growth rate factor of Manado has a significant negative effect on the rate of economic growth , which means that the population growth rate increases, the rate of economic growth of the city of Manado will decrease . Second , government spending Manado factors have a positive effect , but no significant effect on the rate of economic growth in the city of Manado . It means if government spending increases the city of Manado Manado economic growth rose . Third , domestic investment and significant negative effect on the rate of economic growth , which means that if investment in the country also decreased the rate of economic growth of the city of Manado will decrease . Fourth , foreign investment and significant positive effect on economic growth of the city of Manado . It means if the foreign investment increases, the rate of economic growth of the city of Manado increase as well .It can be concluded from the distribution of income affect the economic growth of the city of Manado. Recommended to the government that in the effort to create a more equitable distribution of income, the government should establish and empower the entrepreneurial skills of the people who experience barriers to productive economic activities independently. This work is done so that the poor have a fixed income. The initial step of this program can be reached through the stimulus of working capital to the poor or providing education training (training) aimed at improving the practical economic independence. Current population growth is increasing the government should make a return enterprising in promoting family planning program, and the government should create a program that limits the entry of workers from other areas, so that the density of the city of Manado will not increase.Key Word : Income Distribution, Economic growth

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to determine the possibility of inputsubstitution organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer by measuring MRTS(marginal rate of technical subtitution) Cabbage crop production in RurkanVillage East Tomohon Subdistrict. The method used in this study is surveymethod. This study uses primary data and secondary data, which primary dataobtained through in-depth interviews with 6 cabbage farmers who have switchedto organic fertilizer and 14 farmers who are still in the process of transition to useorganic fertilizers, so the total number of samples in this study is 20 cabbagefarmers, while the secondary is obtained from the Rurukan Village Office.Sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling.Data analysis methods used in this research is by using the model ofexponential cobb-douglas and proceed with the analysis of MRTS (Marginal Rateof Technical Subtitution) to measure the reduction of the quantity of one input byone additional unit of input quantity, in such a way that still produces the sameoutput level. The results are presented descriptively by using tables and verbaldescriptions.The result of research showed that of the five input variables taken turns at α= 5%, only organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizers that had a significant effectin cabbage production. While the addition of land, seed, pesticides and labor hadno significant effect for the addition of cabbage production. The MRTS value was1,96 means that it is reguired 1,96 unit of organic fertilizers to substitute 1 unit ofinorganic fertilizers.2

Abstract

ABSTRACTChristy O. Pua.The Perception of Vegetable’s Consumers in Manado City about Free Pesticide Vegetables Product. Under guidance of Jen Tatuh as chairman, and Vicky R. B. Moniaga and Leonardus R. Rengkung as members.The objective of this research is to measure the consumer’sperception in Manado City to some aspects about free pesticide vegetables product, especially about secure aspect for consumer’s health. The method used in this research is survey method. This research uses primary data. Sampling method used in this research is accidental sampling. The primary data are obtained from respondents, who buy vegetable in Pinasungkulan Traditional Market and Hypermart Supermarket, total respondents are 40. Data is analysed by descriptive used Likert Scale.The result shows that perception of vegetable consumer about free pesticide vegetable product classified as strong. It means that they have high awareness about the those products. The highest of indicator perception index is the consumer persception about savibility product for healthness, it means people have already know that free pesticide vegetable is healthy. The indicator lowest perception index is the consumen persception that the habit of consumption the free pesticide vegetable is as a tradition in the family, it means that consumer is used to consumed free pesticide vegetable. The reasons for consumer buying free pesticide vegetable product are the prices relatively expensive compared with non free pesticide vegetable product, and it is hard to find that product’s in market, which makes the consumers, still doubt to consume of free pesticide vegetable products as a lifestyle or a tradition in the family, especially consumer who buy vegetables in traditional market.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn Tomohon there are various places that could be tourist destinations and Puncak Temboan is one of them. In order to increase tourist visits, visitor satisfaction must be considered. A visitor satisfaction can be realized only through the improvement of service quality. The objective of research is to determine the level of visitor satisfaction in Puncak Temboan Tourism Object.This study was conducted from April to June 2014. Population in this study were visitors of Puncak Temboan Tourism Object. Samples taken were 50 repondents using accidental sampling method.The results of this study showed that the level of visitor satisfaction with quality of services as a whole was in the satisfied category. However, there are still indicators that had a high interest level and low performance and should receive more attention from the manager of the Puncak Temboan Tourism Object. The manager of Puncak Temboan Tourism Object need to maintain service quality indicators that have been assessed well by visitors and also the need to improve the indicators still considered less well by the visitors

Abstract

ABSTRACTArther Manueke. Employment Absorption Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Non-Agribusiness Agribusiness (Case study: In the Village Kakaskasen Two North Tomohon sub district) under the guidance of Jen Tatuh as Chairman, Lorraine W.Th. Sondak and Agnes E. Loho as members.SMEs are an important factor in improving the economy of a region. The larger the business field increasingly strategic employment of the business and the development of businesses in an area that is growing is also the area. With the development of the business field will lead to employment and the increased employment will reduce unemployment in the region.The research was conducted in the Village Kakaskasen Two North Tomohon sub district from April to June of 2014 by using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from interviews with mengguanakan list of questions that had been prepared in advance and secondary data obtained from the relevant department of the Office of Village Kakaskasen Two North Tomohon sub district and the Department of Cooperatives Tomohon. Data processing method used in this research is descriptive method using labor coefficient analysis and presented in tabular form.In the last two years of SMEs in Sub Kakaskasen Two increasing number of business units. Data from the village Kakaskasen Two shows in 2012 recorded 82 business units and in 2013 recorded 209 business units. The results showed that the catering business is a business that is at least employment in agribusiness SMEs, but this business has a higher productivity in SMEs Agribusiness, while the restaurant business is a business that is the highest value of the coefficient of productivity of labor, but it is very small. In the non-agribusiness SMEs labor coefficient highest of soundystem rental business that has the highest coefficient is soundystem rental business however small this business productivity while business hotels, cottages, boarding coefficient value of labor productivity is small but great.Overall agribusiness SMEs have a higher absorption than the non-agribusiness SMEs but non-agribusiness SMEs productivity higher than agribusiness SMEs. Businesses that need attention are catering business and hotel business, cotage, boarding because with little manpower capable of generating significant revenue.

Abstract

ABSTRACTArini Pamona, The Role of Social Institution to the Development of Agribusiness in Rurukan, Eastern District of Tomohon, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. Jen Tatuh, MS as Chief, Dr. Ir. Paulus A. Pangemanan, MS and Dr. Ir. Agnes E. Loho, MP as members.This study aimed to assess the role of the Social Organization of the Agribusiness Development in Sub Rurukan Eastern District of Tomohon. The benefits of this research is to provide information about the Role of Social Institutions of the Agribusiness Development in Sub Rurukan Eastern District of Tomohon and provide knowledge / insight to those who need this information. The collection of data, in the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data through direct interviews based on a list of questions that have been prepared and secondary data derived from other sources associated with this research (BPS). Snowball sampling method using the method. Initial information obtained from Village which is a Key Person, community / religious leaders, continue to the next until the informant met with all information needed. Number of respondents were 12 respondents, which consists of four community leaders / religious leaders and each institution 1 board and 1 member. The results showed that each agency plays in each sub-system. Farmers Group acts by 50% in the provision of the means of production and agricultural tools and machines in the sub-system Agriindustri Hulu, Mapalus and Ma'rawis role of 100% in the supply of labor in sub-system Agriproduksi, Farmers Group acts by 10% in the processing of agricultural products be finished / semi-finished (Agro-Industry) on Agriindustri downstream sub-system, and the United Farmers Group / Arisan contribute by 75% in the delivery of information / education, technology, the provision of capital (financial / credit) as well as human resources development in the sub-system Agriservis, while sub Agriniaga system is not supported by social institutions. The overall role of social institutions can be said to contribute good but not very good because there is still a sub-system that has not been supported by social institutions, namely sub-systems Agriniaga resulting imbalance in this system.Key words: Social Institutions, Agribusiness, Eastern Tomohon

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Rini Maria Supit. Evaluation of Nutmeg Fruit Meat Processing Business (Case Study Nutmeg Fruit Meat Processing Business in the village Karegesan Kauditan District of North Minahasa Regency) (under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ir. Jen Tatuh, MS as a Chairman, Dr. Rine Kaunang, SP., MBA and Ir. Vicky R.B Moniaga, MSi as Members).  The aimed of this study to evaluate feasibility of various aspect from Nutmeg Business in Karegesan village. Data collected for seven months, from June 2014 through December 2014. The data obtained are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews with the owner of Nutmeg Fruit Meat Processing Business  in Karegesan village, and secondary data obtained through the literature related to the nutmeg processing business. The method is carried out to analyze the feasibility investment by measuring the Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return and Net Benefit / Cost. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded from the various aspects of this business is feasible to run. It can be seen from the Net Present Value which reached a positive value (IDR 1.427.565.679,00), Internal Rate of Return of 1,84%, and Net Benefit / Cost at 17,2.  Keywords: Feasible Study, Nutmeg
