Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce science teaching materials based guided discovery for training science process skills. This study adapted to 4D (four D models) that consists define, design, develop, and disseminate, but the stage is done only to develop stage. Teaching materials include syllabus, RPP, worksheets, student books, and science process skill test. This research tested at SMPN 5 Pamekasan. Feasibility of teaching material from the aspect of validity, practicality and effectiveness. Descriptive data were analyzed quantitatively. The validity results showed that teaching material is very valid. Practicality of teaching material show with the value of implementation learning process is excellent category and is supported by the activity of science process skills that have been shown in the study. The effectiveness of the teaching materials obtained from the increase pretest to posttest results of students science process skills with high category N Gain score and as much as 98% of students responded positively to learning guided discovery model. Based on the results, we can conclude that teaching materials based guided discovery that has been developed has been qualified validity, practicality, and effectiveness so that it can be used to train science process skills.

Abstract

This research aims to produce IPA learning devices with the approach of Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) on climate change materials to improve the science literacy of Junior high school students. The learning devices developed are syllabus, learning Implementation Plan, Student teaching materials, Student Worksheets, and Science literacy test. This type of research is development research with the model Dick and Carey. Test learning devices in the classroom using one group pre-Test post-Test design. The research instruments in this study are validation sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, activity observation sheets, test sheets, and student response polls. Data collection using validation methods, observations, tests, and polls. Data analysis techniques use quantitative descriptions. The results of the study show that learning devices are declared worthy of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity aspect indicates that the learning device is very valid and reliable. The practicality aspect of the practice of learning has an average 3.66 with excellent criteria and an student activity is very active. The average achievement of science literacy from 32 students in class VII A when pre-test was at level 2 experienced an increase when post-test was at level 4. Based on N-Gain test the value of 0.50 is on medium criteria. Students ' response to the application of a Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) approach to climate change material is very good.  Learners give a positive response of 87.60%.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan nanogold pada berbagai konsentrasi terhadap aktivitas antioksidan ektrak gambir dan mengetahui konsentrasi nanogold yang terbaik untuk mendukung aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak gambir. Konsentrasi ekstrak gambir yang digunakan adalah 100 ppm dan nanogold konsentrasi 5, 10, 15, 20 dan 25 ppm. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji fitokimia senyawa fenolik terhadap gambir dan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH dengan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Pada uji fitokimia menghasilkan bahwa ekstrak gambir positif mengandung senyawa fenolik ditunjukkan dengan terbentuknya warna coklat kehitaman. Pada penelitian ini aktivitas antioksidan ditentukan dengan persentase peredaman radikal bebas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penambahan nanogold pada ekstrak gambir memberi pengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas antioksidan. Konsentrasi nanogold terbaik yang mendukung aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak gambir yaitu 25 ppm dan memiliki hasil peredaman radikal bebas terbaik yaitu sebesar 89,89 %. Hasil menunjukkan semakin besar konsentrasi nanogold, semakin besar pula persen peredamannya. Kata Kunci : Ekstrak Gambir, Nanogold, Aktivitas Antioksidan, DPPH, %Peredaman Abstract. The research aims to was to determine the effect of adding nanogold at various concentrations to the antioxidant activity of gambir extract and to know the best concentration for the addition of nanogold which supports gambir extract antioxidant activity. The gambir extrct concentration used was 100 ppm and nanogold concentration 5,10,15,20 and 25 ppm. In this research phytochemical test of phenolic compounds were performed and antioxidant activity test using DPPH method with using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. In phytochemical test resulted gambir extract that the positive extract contain phenolic compounds, shown by the formation of brown black. Antioxidant activity in this research was determined from decrease percentage of free radical. The results showed that the addition of nanogold to gambir extract gave influence in increasing the antioxidant activity. The best nanogold concentration that supports antioxidant gambir extract activity is 25 ppm and has the best result to support that is 89,89 %. Abstract

Abstrak. Telah dilakukan sintesis nanosilver dengan metode reduksi kimia. Larutan induk ion perak direduksi dengan natrium sitrat dan penstabil PVP 3%. Karakterisasi menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada ?maks 414 ? 418,3 nm dihasilkan koloid perak berukuran nanometer yang relatif stabil selama masa penyimpanan 60 hari. Hasil uji TEM diperoleh bentuk klaster dominan adalah spherical dengan ukuran nanopartikel berkisar antara 18,60 ? 42,97 nm. Nanosilver hasil sintesis diaplikasikan ke dalam variasi formulasi whitening cream F1 (10%), F2 (15%), dan F3 (20%) b/v dan uji aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus menghasilkan rata-rata diameter daerah hambat masing-masing sebesar 7,36 ± 1,72 mm; 12,43 ± 2,43 mm; dan 19,26 ± 2,23 mm. Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) adalah 10% yakni formulasi whitening cream dengan kandungan nanosilver terendah yang mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri dengan kategori respon hambat sedang. Uji statistic (p ? 0,05) menunjukkan variasi penambahan nanosilver dalam whitening cream berpengaruh terhadap daya hambat pertumbuhan Staphylococcus aureus. Kata kunci: nanosilver, PVP, aktivitas antibakteri, whitening cream. Abstract. The synthesis of nanosilver has been carried out by chemical reduction method. The solution of silver ions is reduced with sodium citrate and 3% PVP as stabilizer. Characterization using UV-Vis spectrophotometer at ?max 414 ? 418,3 nm produced silver colloid in nanometer size which was relatively stable during the storage period of 60 days. TEM images show that the nanoparticles are dominant spherical in shape with ~ 18,60 ? 42,97 nm dimensions. Synthesized nanosilver is applied to a variety of whitening cream formulations as an antibacterial. Antibacterial activity test on Staphylococcus aureus on formula F1 (10%), F2 (15%), and F3 (20%) w / v resulted in a mean local diameter of antibacterial inhibition of 7.36 ± 1.72 mm ; 12.43 ± 2.43 mm; and 19.26 ± 2.23 mm. The Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) is 10%, namely the whitening cream formulation with the lowest nanosilver level that can help the growth of bacteria with a medium inhibitory response category. The statistical test (p ? 0,05) show that the addition of variations in the formulation of nanosilver in whitening cream had an effect on the inhibition of the bacterial growth.
