Abstract

SMK Negeri 4 is a vocational-based high school located in Sorong, West Papua - Indonesia. Paper-based attendance system for teachers is considered to be a major challenge as it is not effective in database management. In the era of technological development, analysis of the productivity and efficiency of teacher and administrator in schools required a web-based administration system. The purpose of this activty is to design and build an online presence system for employees at SMK Negeri 4 using the waterfall method. This procedure is done in the sequentially. The results of the design are accurate, quality and effective data in administrative archiving, and the report can be directly controlled by head-master. The conclusion is web-based attendance system for teacher at SMK Negeri 4 makes it easy to access information and efficient data archiving

Abstract

Fakultas Ilmu Komputer memiliki jurnal yang diterbitkan / dicetak 1 kali dalam setahun dengan nama Jurnal Kuadas. Jurnal yang dimuat merupakan hasil penelitian dari beberapa dosen yang berada di dalam Fakultas Ilmu Komputer. Akan tetapi, kendala yang dihadapi dalam sistem jurnal adalah masih bersifat manual dan ketika pengguna ingin mengakses / membaca jurnal tersebut, maka harus mendatangi secara langsung kepada pihak fakultas. Hal ini mengakibatkan dibutuhkan banyak waktu untuk mengakses jurnal tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan dan perancangan sistem ini adalah metode waterfall. Alasan menggunakan metode ini adalah karena dalam metode waterfall melakukan pendekatan secara sistematis dan berurutan dalam membangun suatu sistem. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah sistem informasi jurnal KUADAS berbasis web memudahkan penulis / peneliti / pembaca dalam mengakses jurnal secara online serta menjadi peluang untuk mempromosikan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Komputer dan menambah pengetahuan

Abstract

The increasing of technology development requires that whatever is done must involve technology. One of the applications of technology is computers. The application of computers today is no longer only in official institutions or agencies but each person can have it to maximize the work done. The Computer knowledge among children who are at the Papua Kasih Foundation is still lacking. This can be because most children have never directly seen, studied, or knew in detail about computers. Thus, the service team wants to carry out an activity for children who are at the Papua Kasih Foundation so that they can find out about computer equipment. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the development or skills of children at the Papua Cinta Foundation regarding computer equipment. The method of implementing community service activities is carried out in several stages including: field observations, preparation, and implementation of activities. Based on the service activities that have been carried out for the children at the Papua Kasih Foundation, Klawasi Village, it can be concluded that the implementation of the service activities was welcomed and enthusiastic by each participant, and using interesting methods when learning about computers could increase the interest of the participants to easy to understand.
