Abstract

Klambir village is one of the villages located in Hamparan Perak sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. Deli Serdang Regency itself is one of the regions that has the largest Covid cases in North Sumatra besides Medan City and Simalungun Regency. So that the socialization regarding the making of hand sanitizers in one of them in Deli Serdang Regency is very important in order to disseminate the community to maintain health in order to break the chain of transmission of COVID 19. The expected output targets from this activity are: Pepople in Klambir village, especially the teenager can understand and able to practice the making of hand sanitizers, the community is more familiar with some natural home ingredients that can be used as the basic ingredients for natural hand sanitizers, people are more concerned with maintaining their own hygiene in order to break the chain of transmission of COVID 19 and hope that good cooperation can be established between UNUSU, the village government and the community Villages in order to support the Government's program to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah penggunaan daun kacang tujuh jurai dalam bentuk produk lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu penambahan bubuk ekstrak daun kacang tujuh jurai masing-masing 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% dan 30% dan 3 kali ulangan. Pengujian dilakukan oleh 25 orang panelis semiterlatih terhadap sifat organoleptik yang meliputi uji hedonik terhadap penampakan umum, warna, rasa dan aroma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk penampakan umum perlakuan yang paling disukai panelis yaitu B (Penambahan bubuk ekstrak daun kacang tujuh jurai 15%), untuk warna perlakuan C (Penambahan bubuk ekstrak daun kacang tujuh jurai 20%), untuk rasa perlakuan perlakuan C (Penambahan bubuk ekstrak daun kacang tujuh jurai 20%), dan untuk aroma perlakuan C (Penambahan bubuk ekstrak daun kacang tujuh jurai 20%). Jadi untuk penilaian rata rata kesukaan panelis untuk produk terbaik pada perlakuan C (Penambahan bubuk ekstrak daun kacang tujuh jurai 20%) dengan tingkat kesukaan terhadap penampakan umum (4), warna (4), rasa (3,3), dan aroma (4).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Morphological characteristics of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF). This research was conducted from March to April 2021. The method used in this research is descriptive exploratory method by purposive sampling for soil sampling. While the stages of this research include: location permitting, data collection and collection in the field, determination of the location for soil sampling, soil sampling, analysis of soil properties in the laboratory, isolation of AMF spores and identification of AMF spore morphology. The results showed that the highest spore population was found through the identification of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae (AMF) at two rubber plantation locations, there were 16 AMF species found, namely. It belongs to the genera Glomus, Gigaspora and Acaulospora. Genus Glomus, where in the STIPAP Medan garden there were 3 morphotypes of the Glomus genus, while in the Sungai Putih plantation, PTPN III showed 13 morphotypes. Genus Glomus showed 9 morphotypes, Genus Gigaspora showed 1 morphotype and Genus Acaulospora 3 morphotypes.

Abstract

Community service for planting productive tree seedlings based on watersheds (DAS) in order to welcome world environment day, aims to socialize the importance of a good environment for life; cooperate with the village government and the Sejahtera Tani farmer group; introducing the types of productive tree seedlings; planting productive tree seedlings with the village government and the Sejahtera Tani farmer group. This community service activity was carried out in Kelambir V Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. This activity is a form of implementation of one of the tridharma of Higher Education, especially community service by the UNUSU academic community, as well as in the framework of UNUSU's participation in the effort to plant watershed-based productive seeds in order to welcome World Environment Day. The method of implementing community service is carried out in 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the reporting stage. During the preparatory phase, socialization was carried out, determining socialization areas, identifying needs, coordinating with relevant village officials, preparing proposals and completing supporting documents. In the implementation phase, declaration is carried out, planting productive DAS-based seeds, socializing planting productive DAS-based seeds, monitoring, at the reporting stage, namely compiling a final report on community service activities. The result of this community service activity is planting productive trees around the watershed and in the gardens of farmer groups, which total 100 productive tree seeds including matoa, simpur, jamblang, duku, rambutan, longan, tamarind seeds.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine the effect of mycorrhizae, media mixture palm oil waste, interaction between mycorrhizae and media mixture palm oil waste. This research used a Randomized Block Design consisting of two factors, which were concentration of mycorrhizae (0, 50, and 100 g/plant) and level of media mixture palm oil waste (top soil, top soil + TKKS (1:1), top soil + fiber (1:1), and top soil + sludge (1:1)). Results showed that the treatment of mychorrizae and mixed media give significant effect on number of leave, fresh dan dry tuber weight for plant. The giving mycorrhizae 50 g/plant increased number of leave (21,85 sheet), fresh tuber weight (27,48 g), and dry tuber weight (21,21 g). Media of top soil + sludge increased number of leave (23,60 sheet), fresh tuber weight          (32,35 g), and dry tuber weight (24,16 g). The addition of mycorrhizae and media mixture palm oil waste can increase results of onion.
