Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan indikator 4C’s yang selaras dengan kurikulum SMA/MA yang digunakan di Indonesia yaitu kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran matematika SMA kelas X semester 1 yang terdiri dari 3 bab yaitu: sistem persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel yang memuat nilai mutlak, SPLTV, dan fungsi. Kegiatan penelitian dimulai dari analisis masalah kurikulum di Indonesia dan menganalisis literatur kemampuan 4C’s menurut Partnership 21th Century Learning (P21). Kegiatan selanjutnya adalah merancang Indikator 4C,s yang selaras dengan kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran matematika SMA/MA kelas X semester 1. Produk yang dihasilkan yaitu Indikator 4C’s yang selaras dengan kurikulum 2013 disajikan dalam vorum diskusi (kolokium). Kemudian produk tersebut direvisi berdasarkan saran dari peserta kolokium. Kegiatan terakhir yaitu membagikan produk yang valid kepada peserta kolokium sebagai panduan penyusunan rencana pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menghasilkan indikator 4C’s yang selaras dengan kurikulum di Indonesia yaitu kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan persentase pada masing-masing level jawaban dan kecenderungan siswa kelas X jurusan Multimedia dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO agar dapat diketahui sejauh mana kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi matematika yang diberikan guru dan guru juga dapat membuat soal/pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan kemampuan intelegensi siswanya. Data yang digunakan adalah lembar jawaban hasil tes dan transkrip wawancara. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa 13,8% dari total siswa berada pada level prestruktural, 1,3% berada pada level unistruktural, 23,7% berada pada level multistruktural, 33,2% berada pada level relasional, dan 28% berada pada level abstrak diperluas. Kecenderungan siswa kelas X jurusan Multimedia dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO adalah siswa malas membaca soal yang terlalu panjang. Siswa mudah menyerah dan lebih memilih untuk menyontek jawaban teman. Namun sebagian siswa gigih dalam menyelesaikan masalah dan lebih bangga apabila mampu menentukan jawaban dengan hasil kerja sendiri.Kata Kunci: Analisis Level Jawaban Siswa, Taksonomi SOLO, Persamaan dan Pertidaksamaan Linier

Abstract

Matematika sangat membantu dan dibutuhkan pada bidang studi atau ilmu-ilmu yag lain. Oleh karena itu matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang mutlak untuk dipelajari dan dikuasai. Semakin tinggi pemahaman dan penguasaan materi serta prestasi belajar maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat keberhasilan pembelajaran. Pada kenyataan di lapangan, siswa sering mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar matematika sehingga hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika pun menjadi rendah.Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan siswa kelas V sebagai subjek penelitiannya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran matematika pokok bahasan pengukuran kecepatan melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif team game tournament. Pada siklus I, Skor aktivitas siswa secara klasikal sebesar 75,59 yang tergolong aktif dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 81,20 yang tergolong sangat aktif. Skor hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal pada siklus I sebesar 72,31 yang tergolong naik dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 80,59 yang tergolong sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif team game tournament dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika pokok bahasan pengukuran kecepatan pada siswa kelas V di SD ST. Petrus Banyuwangi. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas Belajar Siswa, Hasil Belajar Siswa, Metode kooperatif

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze cognitive ability of eight graders in Junior High School 11 Jember viewed from the learning style in solving problems of circle subject. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collection method which were used are questionnaire, test and interview. Research subject is students of VIII A Junior High School 11 Jember which consists of 35 students. Cognitive ability that is observed is cognitive ability based on Bloom’s taxonomy which consists of six levels that are remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create. The research’s result showed that cognitive ability which is possessed by students with visual learning style tend to be able to reach the level of evaluating especially in evaluating relations between two circle. Cognitive ability which is possessed by students with auditorial learning style tend to be able to reach the level of remember especially in recalling circle's elements and recalling formula of circles' circumference and area. Cognitive ability which is possessed by students with cinestetic learning style tend to be able to reach the level of apply especially in aplicating circle's element in a picture. Abstract

Abstract. In mathematics learning, the scoring method used was still dominated by one scoring method which only measure the students’ factual knowledge. Thus, the scoring method should be integrated in the teaching learning process, not merely on the result of learning it self. This research was conducted to improve the grade VIII-I student’s learning achievement and their active participation through the implication of Team Games Tournament (TGT) method of cooperative learning type with authentic assessment on the surface area of the prism and pyramid at SMPN 1 Jember in the 2012/2013 academic year. The research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR), and the data collecting method used was observation, test, interview, and documentation. From the actions implemented in each cycle, it was proved that the students’ score improved from 74,68% in Cycle 1, to 80,76% in Cycle 2. Thus, the average percentage of the second cycle was 76,32% and it fulfilled the research criteria, it showed that the implication of TGT can improve the students’ learning achievment and their active participation. Abstract

Improvement of Skills in Classroom Management for the New Mathematics Teacher in the Junior High School. This study was an effort to improve teacher's skill in classroom management. It was a two-cycle classroom action research involving the new mathematics teacher at the SLTP I Jember. Using a descriptive qualitative analysis on the results of observation and interview, it could be concluded that the new mathematics teacher's skill in creating, keeping and recovering the optimum learning condition seemed to be improved. The result suggests that this classroom action research can be used as supervision model by the school principal. When a trouble cannot be solved by the teacher, he needs to cooperate with another teacher, counselor, school principal, and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

Abstract

Ethnomatematics is a mathematical consept contained in everyday life activities that have been entrenched. This research was condusted at Umah Batik Sayu Wiwit which is located at Jl. Sayuwiwit, Temanggungan, Kampung melayu, Banyuwangi. This study aims to describe ethnomatematics in batik artwork the typical Osing tribe of Banyuwangi on the concept of transformation geometry and make it as student’s worksheet theme. this type of research is qualitative research with ethnographic research. the collection method in this study was observed by 3 observers, interviews with 3 batik makers and documentation. The object of this research is Gajah oling motive, Kangkung Setingkes motive, Gedegan motive, Kopi Pecah motive, Sembruk Cacing motive and Paras Gempal motive. The results of data evaluation were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study prove the reflection consepts, translation concepts, rotation concepts and dilation concepts. Abstract

Ethnomatics are cultural practices related to mathematical activities such as grouping, counting, calculating, designing buildings or tools, determining locations. This research was conducted at the Soponyono Dome Company, Wirolegi, Jember. The purpose of this study is to describe ethnomatematics in the manufacture of stainless steel mosque domes and produce student worksheets. This research is a type of qualitative research with ethnographic approach. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research are the owner of the company and four dome craftsmen. Geometry concepts or elements found include: congruent, flat shapes (rectangle, irregular hexagon, circle segment, trapezoid), space structures (cylinder, truncated ball, cone, and truncated cone), geometrical transformations (dilatation), and mathematical activity (measuring activity, counting activity, and design activity). The results of the study were made as worksheet material for Grade IX students with the subject of constructing curved side spaces of tube and cone material. Abstract

Abstract. Creative thinking ability is the ability to generate ideas or new ways to produce a product Creative thinking ability can be raised by giving the problems that have more than one solution in various ways or also called divergent problems. This research aimed to describe the student’s creative thinking ability in solving the divergent problems of triangular and quadrilateral subjects based on mathematical ability. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research with the subject of students class VIII SMPN 1 Jember amounted to 10 students who have categorized the ability of mathematics. Methods of data collection in this research are documentation, tests and interviews. Based on the results of the test of creative thinking ability and interview, the ability of high mathematics students belong to the third level that is creative, the ability of mathematics students are classified at several levels, namely level 1 (less creative), level 2 (creative enough), and level 4 (very creative) , And the ability of low mathematics students also belong to several levels, namely level 2 (creative enough), level 3 (creative), and level 4 (very creative). The ability of students' creative thinking in solving divergent problems based on the ability of mathematics is varied and does not depend on the category of mathematical ability possessed. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the critical thinking ability of students of class VII-A SMP Negeri 1 Jember in solving the problem of social arithmetic. The type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collection methods used were tests and interviews. The subjects of the study were students of class VII A SMP Negeri 1 Jember which amounted to 36 students. Thinking ability of students can be seen from the ability to analyze the information contained in the question, the ability to analyze the intended purpose in question, able to provide assumptions or opinions about the problem, able to determine the solution contained in the problem, able to develop other reasonable ways of completion, able to write down the answers or solutions of the problems, able to determine the conclusions of the solution problems that have been obtained. The results show that students are able to analyze the problem well and can meet 6 of the 7 indicators of critical thinking. One unfulfilled indicator is the ability to find alternative ways to find solutions of the problems. From the answers obtained from students can be concluded that the students of class VII-A are able to think critically well by analyzing the information contained in the question, although not yet can use alternative other ways of completion.
