Abstract

Introduction: A healthy diet is a way or effort in regulating the number and type of food with certain intentions such as maintaining health, nutritional status, preventing or helping to cure disease. Blood pressure is the power caused by the heart that contracts like a pump, so that blood continues to flow in the blood vessels. A person's blood pressure can be more or less than the normal value limit. The trigger factor for changes in blood pressure is one of them about food consumption patterns, such as consuming excess salt. Methods: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of food consumption patterns with increased blood pressure. The design of this study uses analytics using the Case Control and sampling approach that is used is a non probability sampling with a number of 60 people and the number of samples taken by 36 respondents. Data collection used questionnaires coded, scored, tabulated and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results of the study were 20 respondents (56%) with dietary patterns that did not fit the diet, 20 respondents (56%) with high blood pressure, from the Chi-Square analysis of 0,000 showed a significant value, meaning H0 was rejected or there was a relationship between consumption patterns food with increased blood pressure. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between food consumption patterns and an increase in blood pressure.

Abstract

Introduction: Urinary incontinence is a comorbid condition that often occurs in post TURP clients. Low urinary incontinence scores were found in post TURP clients who did Kegel exercises. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of Kegel exercise on urinary incontinence, and quality of life in post- TURP clients. Methods: The study design was a true experiment pre-post test control group design. The sample size was 32 people who were selected by systematic random sampling, consisting of 16 people in the control group and 16 people in the group treatment. The independent variable in this study was Kegel exercise and the dependent variable was quality of life. Data were collected using a quality of life questionnaire with WHOQOL-BREF. Inferential analysis used statistical t-test (Independent t-Test and Paired t-Test), MANOVA with a significance level of α < 0.05. Results: The results showed that: Kegel exercises improve quality of life scores of the significance level p = 0.045. Conclusion: Kegel exercise can build pubococcygeus muscle mass, improve blood circulation, and improve the bulbocavernosus and ischiocavernosus muscles, thereby reducing urinary incontinence, and quality of life for post TURP clients in a wider population by increasing the reach of the study population and increasing monitoring of client exercise

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease is a chronic disease that progresses damage to the kidneys which disrupts the body’s fluid and electrolyte balance which affects all body systems. PGK is currently it is one of the many diseases that have become a concern in the world including in Indonesia. One phenomenon that often occurs is an increase in fluid volume between two times of dialysis. The purpose of this study was to find out the long relationship between hemodialysis and excess fluid volume status in patients with chronic renal failure in the Hemodialysis room at Ibnu Sina Gresik Hospital. This was an analytical study with a correlative analytic design. Data were collected by using the contingency coefficient. The result of this study shows that older respondents underwent <1 year of hemodialysis with excess fluid status >2,5 BB post HD as much 81,2%, which is more dominant than patients who undergo > 1-year hemodialysis with excess fluid status >2,5 BB post HD as much 58% of the total resulting in p-value 0,103 where p>0,05 so it can be concluded that there is no long relationship to undergo hemodialysis with excess fluid volume status in patients with chronic kidney disease. It is expected that patients undergoing hemodialysis can be more obedient to the recommended diet so that it does not cause other complications and can improve the quality of life patients

Abstract

Introduction: One way to minimize the impact of hospitalization is storytelling with dolls or puppet shows , which is a type of game using puppet media through fantasy games for preschoolers (3-6 years old). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of play therapy "puppet show" on the impact of hospitalization on preschool children (3-6 years) in the Orchid room of Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik Regency. Methods: This study uses a quasi experiment with one group pre test and post test design. The population of this research is parents who have preschool age children (3-6 years) who are hospitalized in the Orchid Room of Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik Regency. While the sampling using consecutive sampling technique obtained 22 parents. The independent variable studied was play therapy "puppet show". The dependent variable in this study was the impact of hospitalization on preschool children aged (3-6 years) who experienced hospitalization. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire then analyzed through the T-test statistical test. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between positive and negative impacts on pre-school age children during nursing actions before and after play therapy "puppet show" (p value = 0.005 smaller than = 0.05). Conclusions: Based on the results of the research obtained, the need for play should still be given to children undergoing hospital treatment to continue the child's growth and development, reduce stress and tension.
