Abstract

Penelitian pengaruh fungi mikoriza asbuskula (FMA) dan pupuk NPK pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jambu mete muda dilaksanakan di KP. Cikampek, Jawa Barat dari bulan Januari sampai Desember 2011. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah acak kelompok, terdiri dari dua faktor, yang diulang 4 kali dengan ukuran plot 4 tanaman/perlakuan. Faktor I adalah aplikasi FMA, yaitu tanpa FMA dan aplikasi 12 kaplet FMA/tanaman.  Faktor II adalah pupuk NPK (g/tan.) yang terdiri dari: (a) dosis pupuk NPK rekomendasi (100 g N, 80 g P2O5, 100 g K2O/tan.), (b) 3/4 dosis pupuk NPK rekomendasi, dan (c) 1/2 dosis pupuk NPK rekomendasi. Parameter pengamatan meliputi penambahan jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman, diameter cabang, lilit batang utama, lebar kanopi, panjang cabang, jumlah cabang tersier, jumlah tandan bunga, jumlah buah per tandan, dan jumlah gelondong per pohon.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penurunan dosis pemupukan NPK sampai 50% dari dosis rekomendasi yang disertai dengan pemberian mikoriza (FMA) tidak mengakibatkan penurunan pertumbuhan dan produksi jambu mete varietas BO2 hasil grafting. Sebagai implikasi, adanya respon positif pada pertumbuhan dan produksi jambu mete dapat dijadikan petunjuk bahwa penggunaan mikoriza mampu meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan pupuk NPK. The second factor was application of NPK fertilizer, consisting of: (a) Full recommended of NPK fertilizer rates (100 g N, 80 g P2O5, 100 g K2O/plant.), (b) 3/4 recommended NPK fertilizer rate, and (c) 1/2 recommended NPK fertilizer rate. Parameters observed included the increase of number of leave, plant height, diameters of branch, main girth and canopy, branch length, number of tertiary branches, number of bunches of flowers, the number of fruits per bunch, and the number of nuts per tree. Results showed that the reduction of NPK fertilizer application upto 50% of recommended fertilizer rates combined with the application of AMF on the young cashew trees (2.5 years old) did not result in any reduction of plant growth measured significantly. As an amplication, the application of micorhizal fungus is likely able to increase efficiency of fertilizer use to the crop indicated by comparable growth of the treated ones.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDosis pupuk N, P, dan K optimal untuk akar wangi belum diketahuidan penggunaannya  masih beragam. Penelitian bertujuan untukmendapatkan komposisi dosis pupuk N, P, dan K optimal yang dapatmeningkatkan produktivitas akar wangi. Penelitian dilakukan di DesaSukakarya, Garut dari bulan Januari 2009 sampai dengan Desember 2010menggunakan rancangan Acak Kelompok, dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuanmeliputi 9 kombinasi pupuk N, P, dan K: (1). Kontrol; (2) 100 kg SP-36 +75 kg KCl; (3) 100 kg ZA + 75 kg KCl; (4) 100 kg ZA + 50 kg SP-36 + 75kg KCl; (5) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl; (6) 100 kg ZA + 100kg SP-36 + 150 kg KCl; (7) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36; (8) 200 kg ZA +100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl; (9) 200 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 150 kg KCl.Panen dilakukan pada 12, 14, dan 16 bulan setelah tanam (BST). Hasilmenunjukkan bahwa pemupukan dosis 100 kg ZA + 75 kg KClmenghasilkan minyak 52,59 dan 67,78 kg/ha (12 dan 14 BST) dan 200 kgZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl menghasilkan 67,76 kg /ha (16 BST),dengan kadar vetiverol lebih dari 50%.Kata kunci: Vetiveria zizanioides, pemupukan, vetiverol, produksi, mutuminyakABSTRACTThe optimum dosage of N, P, and K fertilizer has not been knownyet and it usage was still varied. The research aim is to obtain an optimalcomposition of N, P, and K fertilizer that could increase productivity ofvetiver crop. The researsch has been conducted in Sukakarya Village,Garut, from January 2009 to December 2010. The research was arrangedin randomized block design, with 3 replications and N, P, and K fertilizercombination treatments i.e.: (1) Control; (2) 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl;(3) 100 kg ZA + 75 kg KCl; (4) 100 kg ZA + 50 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl;(5) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl; (6) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 150 kg KCl; (7) 100 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36; (8) 200 kg ZA + 100 kgSP-36 + 75 kg KCl; (9) 200 kg ZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 150 kg KCl.Harvesting was done at 12, 14 and 16 months after planting (MAP). Theresult showed that the dose of 100 kg ZA + 75 kg KCl produced vetiver oil52,59 and 67,78 kg/ha (12 and 14 MAP). Meanwhile the dose of 200 kgZA + 100 kg SP-36 + 75 kg KCl produced 67,76 kg/ha (16 MAP),respectively. vetiverol content were more than 50%.Key words: Vetiveria zizanioides, fertilizing, vetiverol, production, oilquality

Abstract

Tanah yang telah ditanami tanaman kopi seringkali tidak mampu menyediakan nutrisi yang dibutuhkan secara memadai untuk kelangsungan hidup tanaman itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan pupuk anorganik dan organik sangat diperlukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi. Selain pupuk organik dan anorganik, beberapa pupuk hayati yang diformulasikan dari mikroba tanah non patogen seperti jamur mikoriza juga telah digunakan untuk tujuan pengembangan pertanian. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh mikoriza dan amelioran terhadap pertumbuhan benih kopi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca Balai Penelitian Tanaman Industri dan Penyegar Sukabumi pada bulan Februari-Desember 2012. Rancangan penelitian adalah acak kelompok faktorial dua faktor dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor-faktor yang diuji adalah penggunaan mikoriza (tanpa mikoriza, mikoriza dari rizosfer kopi, dan mikoriza dari rizosfer jambu mete) dan amelioran (tanpa amelioran, kompos, kapur, dan kapur dicampur kompos). Peubah yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, dan bobot kering daun, batang, dan akar, serta tingkat infeksi mikoriza pada akar kopi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan inokulum mikoriza, baik yang berasal dari rizosfer tanaman kopi maupun jambu mete mampu memperbaiki pertumbuhan benih kopi. Mikoriza yang berasal dari rizosfer kopi memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan yang berasal dari rizosfer jambu mete, sedangkan penggunaan amelioran maupun kombinasinya tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan benih kopi.Kata Kunci: Mikoriza, benih kopi, amelioran, pertumbuhanIt is often the soil on which coffee is grown is not able to supply all nutrients needed by plant adequately for its life cycle. Hence, both inorganic and organic fertilizers are used to meet nutrient requirement. In addition to organic and inorganic fertilizers, some biofertilizers formulated from nonpathogenic soil microbes such as mycorrhizas fungi has been developed for agricultural purposes. The objective of this study was to analyze the effects of mycorrhizas fungi and ameliorants on the growth of Robusta coffee seedlings. The study was carried out at a green house of Indonesian Industrial and Beverage Crops Research Institute, Sukabumi from April to December 2012. Two factors examined were: (1) the use of mycorrhizal fungus (without mycorrhizas, added mycorrhizas fungi isolated from coffee plant rhizosphere, and those from cashew trees rhizosphere), and (2) ameliorant application (without ameliorant, compost, lime, and mixed lime with compost). The factors were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates and plot size of 16 plants. Variables observed are plant height, diameter of girth, number of leaves, dry weight of leaves, stem, roots, and infection level of mycorrhizas in coffee roots. The result showed that the mycorrhizas fungus (arised from coffee or cashew rhizosphere) significantly affect on the growth of coffee seedlings. The coffee seedlings treated with mycorrhizas fungi isolated from coffee rhizosphere was better than those of cashew rhizosphere. Whereas, the ameliorant and their combinations not significantly affect on the growth of coffee seedling.

Abstract

Abstract

Purwoceng (Pimpinella pruatjan Molk.) berkhasiat aprodisiak dengan bahan aktif antara lain steriod, saponin dan ber-gaptin. Penelitian dilakukan di KP. Gunung Putri, bertujuan untuk menge-tahui hubungan cekaman defisit air dengan pembentukan bahan aktif penting pada purwoceng. Pada kegiatan penelitian ini dilakukan dua pengujian yaitu respon pembentukan bahan aktif terhadap peningkatan level cekaman defisit air pada tiga fase pertumbuhan tanaman (3, 5, dan 7 bulan), dan kandungan bahan aktif purwoceng pada kondisi tingkat ketersediaan air tanah di level 80% kegiatan lapang (KL), 60% KL, 50% KL, dan 40% KL, dengan meng-gunakan rancangan acak kelompok, 6 ulangan, pada intensitas cahaya 55%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa periode cekaman defisit air berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan bahan aktif pur-woceng. Periode cekaman defisit air 21-38 hari berpengaruh terhadap kandung-an bahan aktif steroid, saponin dan bergapten. Periode cekaman defisit air selama 21-24 hari pada purwoceng berumur tiga bulan menghasilkan kan-dungan stigmasterol dan sitosterol ter-tinggi. Cekaman ringan dengan potensial air pada jaringan daunantara 5-12 bar menghasilkan kandungan bahan aktif steroid dan saponin tertinggi pada tujuh bulan setelah tanam (BST). Perlakuan cekaman defisit air selama 2 bulan dengan pengaturan ketersediaan air tanah setara 60% KL menghasilkan bahan aktif stigmasterol (0,121%), sitos-terol (0,087%) tertinggi pada tanaman purwoceng berumur lima bulan, sedang-kan empat bulan cekamans defisit air dengan 50% KL menghasilkan kandung-an saponin (0,149%) tertinggi pada umur tanaman tujuh bulan.

Abstract

The research aiming at the effect of arbuscular mycorrhiza to the 3 clones of  Orthosipon aristatus was conducted in the green house and laboratory of Indonesian Spices and Medicinal Crops Research Institute, Bogor in 5 months.  Completely randomized design, arranged factorially with 2 factors and 3 replications was used. First factor was the clone of  orthosipon consisted of white flower, purpel and rather purple clones, meanwhile second factor was Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (AM) inoculation (300 spores of AM/plant) consisted of: without AM,  Glomus agregatum, Mac-1 (mixed of Acaulospora sp and Glomus sp), and Mac-2 (mixed of 8 kinds of AM).  The result showed a significant effect of orthosipon  clone to the plant growth (plant height, number of leaves and stem), fresh weight of stem, dry weight of leaf and root, and leaf area index.  White flower clone showed the best growth responses to the AM inoculation (fresh weight of leaf and plant P uptake increased 41,1% to 89,59% and 48,9% to 109,2%, respectively).  Glomus agregatum inoculation resulted the highest increasing plant height, number of leaves and stem, dry weight of leaf and stem, and leaf area index of the three clones.

Abstract

Piretrum (Chrysanthemum cinerarii-folium Trev.) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai pestisida nabati. Keterbatas-an informasi pemupukan pada tanaman piretrum mendorong dilakukannya penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk yang tepat bagi produksi bunga piretrum dengan kadar piretrin tinggi. Penelitian dila-kukan di Kebun Percobaan Nagasari, Gunung Putri Cipanas (1.500 m dpl.). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Acak Kelompok, dengan 8 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas a). 80 kg N + 120 kg P2O5 + 100 kg K2O/ha, b). FMA1 (Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula) + a, c). FMA2 + a, d). FMA1 + ½ dosis a, e). FMA2 + ½ dosis a, f). 30 t pukan/ha, g). FMA1 + 30 t pukan/ha, h). FMA2 + 30 t pukan/ha. FMA1 merupakan campuran dari Glomus sp.3, Glomus sp.4, Glomus sp.5, Acaulospora morowae, sedangkan FMA2 merupakan cam-puran dari Acaulospora sp1., Acaulospora sp2., Glomus sp.1 dan Glomus sp.2, Scutelospora sp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemupukan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pro-duksi tanaman piretrum (jumlah dan bobot segar bunga pada tanaman sampel maupun total). Perlakuan FMA1 + 30 t pukan/ha menghasilkan jumlah dan bobot segar bunga sampel serta kadar piretrin tertinggi, masing-masing 261, 189 g, dan 0,65%. Selain itu perlakuan FMA2 + 30 t pukan/ha menghasilkan jumlah dan bobot segar bunga total tertinggi (660 dan 503 g).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peningkatan hasil produksi pertanian khususnya pada tanaman rempah dan obat lebih banyak menggunakan pupuk kimia. Hal tersebut dapat memberikan efek negatif bagi lingkungan, antara lain degradasi lahan baik secara fisik (degradasi struktur tanah), kimia dan biologi, serta polusi air tanah. Solusi yang diupayakan untuk menanggulangi dampak penggunaan pupuk kimia yaitu pemanfaatan mikroorganisme dalam pupuk hayati. Aplikasi pupuk hayati sudah dikembangkan secara luas pada tanaman rempah dan obat. Pupuk hayati menjaga lingkungan tanah yang kaya hara mikro dan makro melalui fiksasi nitrogen, pelarutan fosfor dan mineralisasi kalium, pelepasan zat pengatur tumbuh tanaman, produksi antibiotik dan biodegradasi bahan organik tanah. Mikroorganisme yang digunakan dalam pupuk hayati terdiri dari berbagai macam, seperti mikoriza, fungi dan bakteri, baik yang bersimbiosis dengan tanaman maupun yang hidup bebas di lingkungan.  Banyak penelitian yang telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk hayati pada tanaman rempah dan obat. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pupuk hayati memberikan pengaruh positif pada berbagai tanaman rempah dan obat seperti lada, cengkeh, jahe, artemisia, ketumbar, panili, adas, dan lain-lain. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada peningkatan parameter pertumbuhan tanaman (tinggi, jumlah dan luas daun, perakaran), maupun hasil senyawa metabolit sekunder yang dihasilkan. Penggunaan pupuk hayati pada tanaman memberi dampak kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan.  ABSTRACT Increased agricultural production, especially in spices and medicinal plants utilize chemical fertilizers wildly. It could provide negative effect to the environment, including land degradation by physically (soil structure degradation), chemically and biologically, and also groundwater pollution. Attempted solutions to cope with the impact of chemical fertilizers utilization is by using beneficial microorganisms in the form of biofertilizer. Biofertilizer maintains soil environment having rich in micro and macro nutrients through N fixation, solubilize and mineralize phosphorus and potassium, release plant growth regulators, antibiotic production and biodegradation of soil organic matter. There are various kinds of microorganisms contain in biofertilizers, such as mycorrhiza, fungi and bacteria, which have mutual symbiotic with plants and also free-living microorganisms in their environment. The application of biological fertilizer has been developed extensively on spices and medicinal plants. Many studies have been conducted to find the effect of biofertilizer on spices and medicinal plants. The results showed that the usage of biofertilizers have a positive effect on various crops and medicinal spices such as pepper, clove, ginger, artemisia, coriander, vanilla, fennel, and others. It can be seen on the increase of plant growth and secondary metabolites content produced by these plants.Â
