Abstract

When bathing, wound in human skin is likely to be exposed to water. Somehow, it would cause discomfort. The use of the wound cover (plaster, band aid, bandage) is less than satisfactory when used as taking a bath. This research will develop wound closure products in the bath, from the stage of concept development, design system level, and planning level of details. Results from trials of potential users indicate that this tool successfully met consumer needs and technical requirements which are prioritized to be developed.

Abstract

Dalam industri kertas seperti yang ditekuni oleh PT. Pelita Cengkareng Paper & Co. pemotongan roll sesuai permintaan dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan alternatif alternatif yang mungkin dengan sisa pemotongan seminimal mungkin. Selama in metode yang digunakan adalah dengan cara trial and error. Akibatnya, dibutuhkan waktu cukup lama dengan hasil yang belum tentu optimal, artinya sisa pemotongan mungkin akan berlebihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan  suatu dasar matematis untuk masalah Trimloss. Model yang dibuat berdasarkan 2 fungsi tujuan yaitu minimisi sisa pemotongan untuk Model I dan makasimasi keuntungan dalam bentuk bobot keuntungan. Hasil penelitian berupa tabel alternatif potongan dan  jumlah roll awal yang harus dipotong dengan satu set alternatif tertentu, yang diharapkan dapat membantu perusahaan dalam perencanaan produksi kertas jenis medium 125 gsm  dalam memenuhi permintaan yang ada. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini,total sisa dari model minimasi sisa adalah sebesar 1790 cm dan total keuntungan dari model maksimasi keuntungan adalah sebesar 16777,5 dalam bobot keuntungan yang meningkat dari 14643,75 dengan menggunakan sistem sekarang. Perusahaan belum memiliki data sisa pemotongan dari metode saat ini.  Kata kunci : model trimloss, minimasi sisa, maksimasi keuntungan, integer linier programming.     In the paper industry, cutting stock is done by considering all the alternatives possible  in cutting the jumbo roll into rolls with smaller widths. The method used now is trial and error which results with long hours of work with no guarentee of optimality, meaning that the trim loss could be excessive which then cause loss to the customers. This research’s goal is to use a method with mathematical basis for the trim loss problem. The model would have 2 objectives, one for the trim loss model an, as a comparison, is to maximize the benefit shown in ranks instead of the actual benefit. The result of this research is a table consisting of all cutting alternatives made by trial and error dan the number of the jumbo rolls cut according to some alternatives. This research is expected to be able to help the company to decide which alternative to use due to the demand. This research yields 1790 cm of trim loss with no record of it from the method used now and 16777,5 in rank of benefit, increasing  from 14643,75 from the method used now.  Key words : minimum trim loss, maximum benefit, integer linear programming

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge about fast food with fast food consumption behavior in high school students/SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP . This research is a descriptive correlational nature . The population in this research was 685 people are students of class X , XI , and XII in SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP . Based on the survey results revealed that students' knowledge about fast food achievement levels obtained by 59 % of respondents with a lower category . Student behavior in consuming fast food achievement levels obtained by 81 % of respondents with a high category . The magnitude of the correlation coefficient variable ( X ) and variable ( Y ) is 0.615 with the interpretation that the two variables are strongly correlated . The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between knowledge of fast food with fast food consumption behavior in SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Abstract

Facial expression was proven to show a person's emotions, including 6 basic human emotions, namely happy, sad, surprise, disgusted, angry, and fear. Currently, the recognition of basic emotions is applied using the automatic facial expression analysis software. In fact, not all emotions are performed with the same expressions. This study aims to analyze whether the six basic human emotions can be recognized by software. Ten subjects were asked to spontaneously show the expressions of the six basic emotions sequentially. Subjects are not given instructions on how the standard expressions of each of the basic emotions are. The results show that only happy expressions can be consistently identified clearly by the software, while sad expressions are almost unrecognizable. On the other hand surprise expressions tend to be recognized as mixed emotions of surprise and happy. There are two emotions that are difficult to express by the subject, namely fear and anger. The subject interpretation of these two emotions varies widely and tends to be unrecognizable by software. The conclusion of this study is the way a person shows his emotions varies. Although there are some similarities in expression, it cannot be proven that all expressions of basic human emotions can be generalized. Further implication of this research needs further discussion.

Abstract

PT. Peace Industrial Packaging is a company that produces Styrofoam and plastic bottles that are used as containers or places or commonly referred to as packaging used by other companies to place their finished products. After getting data on the number of requests and production results obtained every month then the data will be processed using several forecasting methods such as Single Moving Average; Double Moving Average; Weight Moving Average; Single Exponential Smoothing; Double Exponential Smoothing; Linear Regression; Quadratic Method, Method Cyclic; Decomposition Method; and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Method. After conducting the research calculation, the following conclusions can be drawn. The right forecasting method used for the HBL 100 ML product is the ANN (Artificial Neural Network) method because it has the smallest error value, namely the MAD error method of 760.583554, the MSE error method of 863,032.834043, the SDE error method of 970.304264, the MAPE error method is 0.112530, and the MPE error method is 0.112530

Abstract

Waktu reaksi merupakan salah satu hal yang sebaiknya dipertimbangkan dalam pemilihan seorang pekerja untuk suatu posisi tertentu. Penelitian ini mempertimbangkan tiga faktor utama yang diyakini berdampak pada melemahnya reaksi seseorang, yakni faktor usia, faktor tingkat pencahayaan dan faktor jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada dua kondisi berbeda yakni saat responden dalam kondisi sebelum dan sesudah aktivitas fisik sederhana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah aktivitas fisik sederhana akan melambatkan (karena lelah) atau mempercepat reaksi (karena tubuh lebih bugar) seseorang. Dengan menggunakan alat ukur waktu reaksi, percobaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain eksperiman Randomized Complete Blocked Design yang dilengkapi uji ANOVA dan uji Tukey sebagai Post Hoc Test. Uji T berpasangan dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh aktivitas fisik pada seseorang. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa faktor yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi adalah faktor umur dan tingkat penglihatan. Aktivitas fisik sederhana berdampak melambatkan waktu reaksi. Pada kedua kondisi ini umur muda dan tingkat pencahayaan terang menghasilkan waktu reaksi terbaik., namun efeknya berbeda untuk tiap level umur maupun tingkat pencahayaan. Abstract

Abstrak - Tulisan ini terkait dengan penelitian mengenai pengembangan manajemen dashboard di Fakultas Teknik Unika Atma Jaya. Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dihasilkan rancangan peta strategi yang memuat tujuan-tujuan strategis (strategic objectives) dan indikator (lead dan lag) dari FT Unika Atma Jaya (UAJ) yang terbagi dalam empat perspektif balanced scorecard (BSC), yaitu:  Perspektif Pelayanan, Perspektif Pelanggan, Perspektif Proses Bisnis Internal, serta Perspektif Pembelajaran dan Organisasi. Peta tersebut kemudian direklasifikasi lagi sehingga lebih sesuai dengan konsep indikator kinerja (Performance indicator – PI) dan indikator hasil (Result Indicators – RI).  Terdapat 8 indikator proses yang diubah letaknya menjadi indikator hasil. Lebih lanjut, dari 120 indikator, terpilih 35 indikator yang dinyatakan sebagai KPI dan KRI, dan akan digunakan sebagai input di pembuatan aplikasi manajemen dashboard. Abstract - The paper is related to research about dashboard management development in Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. Previous research has resulted a strategy map with subsequent strategic objectives and indicators (lead and lag) for the Faculty of Engineering, which comprises of four Balanced Scorecards (BSC) perspectives as follows: Service, Customer, Internal Business Process, and Learning and Growth. The map then reclassified so that it fits to Performance indicators (PI) and Result Indicators (RI) concepts. which at the end of the day will be the basis for choosing key indicators (KPI and KRI). Finally, there are 8 process indicators that relocate to result indicators. Further, from 120 indicators, 35 indicators are chosen as KPI and KRI, which will be used in the next step of dashboard management application development.

Abstract

Symbol is diagram or shape that represents an idea. Symbol should match to values with the intention to viewers can recognize it with no mistaken in interpretation. Therefore, recognizing and matching in interpreting symbol should be considered Conducting experimental designs, this researchconcerns on 2 factors that predicted have certain relationship to recognizing and matching value of the symbol in public area, which are color and shape. The results showed the difference of colors and shape had significant effect in matching value. Mean while, only shape that had effect in recognizing value.Symbol wirh color green had the highest matching value (1), where as symbol with white in black color has least matching value (0.525) Moreover, regression linear analysis using dummy variable indicates that person with lower age tend to have less recognizing capability than the younger one and malegenerally had higher recognizing and matching value than female.

Abstract

The research builds an interactive game to help high school students in getting better understanding of Industrial Engineering.. The game is about the flour production company which process are procurement, production and sales, played by a team consisted of four students. After design and construction phases, the game was tried in Tarakanita High school. Using paired t-test for means, it is concluded that there is increasing grade in posttest value. It means after playing the game ,students have better understanding about aspect that are concerned in Industrial  Engineering. Moreover, based on evaluation review, there are good acceptances of the activities
