Abstract

UN (United Nation) notes that 75% of major conflicts in the world are caused by cultural diversity. As multicultural country, Indonesia has high potential for cultural conflict. One of the biggest conflicts that ever occurred in Indonesia is Maluku conflict. This conflict had been retold in the film “Cahaya dari Timur: Beta Maluku”. The research question is “How is the Maluku conflict narrated in the film Cahaya dari Timur: beta Maluku?”. To answer the question, the researcher chooses the narrative analysis from Tzvetan Todorov.  He argues that narrative is not flat. It consists of certain levels (equilibrium, disruption, recognizing the disruption, an attempt to the damage, and equilibrium). By dividing film narrative into five levels, this research finds the different condition in equilibrium level. Oftentimes, equilibrium is started by balance condition, but this film is started by conflict. Besides that, Maluku conflict is positioned as the background story.

Abstract

Television as part of the development of technology has been able to change the wayhuman life ranging from how to speak, dress, etc. chivalry ethics. Reality is there thecommunity is very far from what is called intelligent concept of media. Many parentswho do not pay attention to media consumption by their children and how muchimpact negetif raised by TV. Efforts to revive awareness of members of the Society ofTeachers Kindergarten Cluster Mangkunegaran about the negative influence of TVwith the concept of media literacy is expected to be applied in everyday life, has beenable to open the horizons of thought participants to the impact of TV. Critical attitudetoward TV has begun to take shape that comes to the end they hope to have a realaction from the government to fix the TV programs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Majalah sekolah menjadi sarana yang sangat penting bagi institusi bukan hanya sebagai media informasi, akan tetapi sekaligus juga media promosi sekolah. Disamping itu, majalah tersebut juga dapat menjadi wadah bagi siswa untuk berlatih menulis. Namun demikian, ketrampilan menulis pelajar Indonesia masih banyak terkendala dikarenakan keterbatasan media dan fasilitas penunjang di sekolah. Untuk itu, pemberdayaan wartawan siswa dirasa sangat perluh untuk beberapa sekolah yang belum memiliki majalah sekolah sendiri. SMP Muhammadiyah PK Al-Kautsar Kartasura adalah salah satunya. Sekolah yang baru berdiri 2010 ini memiliki 95 siswa. Majalah sekolah dapat menjadi sarana menampung kreativitas siswa dalam menulis dan menyalurkan ide-ide kreatif mereka. Selain itu, Majalah sekolah bisa menjadi salah satu media komunikasi antarelemen sekolah, mulai siswa, guru, karyawan sekolah, hingga kepala sekolah. Pembuatan majalah sekolah yang diberi nama Al-Kautsar ini dirasa akan dapat menjadi salah satu media promosi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan peminat siswa baru. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pendampingan antara lain dengan memberikan pelatihan, penugasan, pendampingan, dan kunjungan ke instansi media cetak di Solo Raya yang berhubungan dengan dunia jurnalistik. Kegiatan pemberdayaan wartawan siswa yang dilakukan selama 5 bulan ini memberikan kontribusi yang baik dalam mengelola potensi siswa-siswi di bidang Jurnalistik. Sebelum diadakan pemberdayaan potensi siswa siswi yang tergabung dalam Tim Jurnalistik belum tersalurkan dengan baik, namun setelah diadakannya pendampingan potensi mereka kini dapat diasah dan dikembangkan. Disamping itu, pada akhir program pengabdian ini berhasil dibuat Majalah Al Kautsar.

Abstract

Pendekatan terbaru yang berkembang dalam mengkaji kehidupan perusahaan adalah bahwa perusahaan pada saat ini tidak hanya berorientasi pada pencarian keuntungan (profit) semata, akan tetapi mulai berpikir bagaimana perusahaan berkontribusi terhadap keseimbangan alam (planet) dan kesejahteraan masyarakat (people). PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk Cilacap Plant adalah perusahaan yangbergerak dalam produksi semen yang mempunyai kecenderungan memberikan polusi udara dan suara yang dapat merugikan masyarakat sekitar perusahaan. Dengan metode kualitatif penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mencari bagaimanakah implementasi strategi pengelolaan CSR dengan program Posdaya yang telah dilakukan oleh PT. Holcim Indonesia Tbk Cilacap Plant dalam rangka memberdayakan masyarakat yang berada disekitar perusahaan tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data berupa FGD dan dokumentasi yang selanjutnya akan diolah dengan analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Sedangkan untuk validitas penelitian, peneliti menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa PT Holcim berkonsentrasi pada pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis 4 pilar, yaitu kesehatan, pendidikan, ekonomi dan lingkungan. Untuk tahapan dalam pelaksanaan Posdaya dilakukan dengan 2 tahapan, yakni analisa kebutuhan dan dilanjutkan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat yang akan menjadi subjek pelaksana Posdaya. Dalam melaksanakan kegiatan Posdaya tersebut dijalankan dengan kegiatan CSR, serta menjalin hubungan dengan komunitas, pemerintah dan LSM, berpusat pada community relation department. PT Holcim.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu sekolah dasar islam terpadu di Karaganyar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu yang digunakan oleh Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu (SDIT). Integrated Marketing Communication?(IMC)?dapat diterapkan dengan baik di sekolah swasta, maupun sekolah negeri, termasuk SDIT Insan Kamil, SDIT Muhammadiyah Jumapolo dan SDIT MTA. Media promosi yang digunakan sekolah dalam iklan tersebut berupa: televisi, radio, spanduk, banner, buletin, brosur, dan pemasaran online. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan objek penelitian penelitian adalah SDIT Insan Kamil, SDIT Muhammadiyah Jumapolo dan SDIT MTA di Karanganyar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur secara mendalam untuk mendapatkan informasi lengkap sesuai dengan yang dibutuhkan oleh peneliti. Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu dapat melakukan Integrated Marketing Communication?(IMC)?walaupun dalam program promosi tersebut belum maksimal, namun program tersebut telah memberikan dampak positif, dilihat dari jumlah peserta didik yang meningkat.?

Abstract

Some time ago, a rift arose between Sunnis and Shiites in Sampang, Madura. Then, banners spread across Yogyakarta stating that the Shia were heretical. On the internet, many websites sprang up claiming that anyone that justifies Shia is heretical. These were a form of propaganda, campaigning, or “proselytizing” that another group is deviant and infidel. This research tried to analyze the propaganda process in the media by radical groups against Shiite groups in Yogyakarta and to find out the techniques and tools used in it so that all parties could anticipate and map the potential conflicts. The research was conducted in Yogyakarta with a qualitative research type. Data collection was carried out by document review. The results showed that, first, propaganda provided a stimulus to the public to seek knowledge and information about the Shi’a group –and mainly conveyed a negative view of the Shi’a group. Second, this research found that the mechanism carried out was by providing information to the public by placing the media in strategic places. Third, the research identified that the propaganda theory used is Name-Calling, Glittering Generality, and Transfer, while the media used were billboards, banners, leaflets, and brochures.

Abstract

Technological developments significantly  makes da'wah evolve from offline to online using internet media. By the collaboration of da'wah and the internet, the values of Muhammadiyah Da'wah will be more easily dispersed and absorbed by the audience. The focus in this activity is to build a website system that becomes the means of digital da'wah, especially in the Distrcit Commitee of Surakarta. The method of implementation in this activity is FGD, website building, socialization, training and maintenance. In each activity, attended by representatives of Ortom, assembly, and Charity Enterprises Muhammadiyah (AUM). From the dedication activities that have been implemented can be concluded that the program has been running in accordance with the results of discussions between partners and executor. From the level of activity of each trainees in submitting the news is pretty good. This can be seen from the data contained in the website The significant increase in the number of articles containing information and articles uploaded at muhammadiyahsolo.com. Data from May – December 2019 shows an increase in the number of articles or news posted in total there are 142 manuscripts in a variety of categories : News, Tajdid, business charity schools and others with the number of view pages About 1500

Abstract

The unused land management as the seeding place is a new innovation by the farmers. Alms house is the initiator of the organic village program idea in Ngemplak Sutan Village, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta. Innovation adoption program is started in 2013 and the successful of the program in 2018. It is needed 5 years to change the people’s mindsets to go organic farming. The aim of this research is to know how the process of innovation adoption program of organic vegetables in Ngemplak Sutan Village, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta. The method which is used is qualitative research method since it emphasizes the direct observation and the data is analyzed by non-statistics. The data of this research comes from the primary source, that is deeply interviewed, while the secondary source comes from document, photo, video, and journal which is related with the research. This research uses interactive analyze data technique. The determination of the informant uses snowball sampling. The result of the research shows that the adoption process occurs through particular steps. On the knowledge step, it gives big impact on the decision of do the innovation adoption. This step can change the people’s mindset so they feel interest to do adoption. Innovation adoption program also gives impact on healthy sector, education sector, and economy sector. The conclusion is the adoption process was slow. The education sector is being the determination of the way in adoption process. Experience and knowledge, and the impact which is felt will be important considerations.
