Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia greatly affects maternal and fetal mortality and morbidity being dependent on gestational age at the time of preeclampsia. Maternal mortality in Indonesia is still marked by three major causes of death: haemorrhage, hypertension in pregnancy (HDK) and infection. Method: This research used analytic survey method with experimental research design. The research design used prepost control design. The sample used was 20 pregnant women with pre-eclampsia, of which 10 were treated and 10 were controls. Result: The result of T-Test paired showed that the effect of the use of ambon banana in the systolic blood pressure treatment group was 0.0001 (P <0.05) and diastole was 0. 031 (p <0.05). Similarly, in systole the effect of banana utilize on the decrease in systolic blood pressure in groups was 0.101 (p>0.05) and in diastole 0.445 (p>0.05).

Abstract

Background: Adolescents who experience anemia in 2018 reach 48.9%. The Indonesian government's program on taking blood tablets is done once a week. Anemia in adolescents in 2013 to 2018 has increased by 11.8%. This study aims to determine factor that related to iron and folic acid supplement consumption. Methodology: Research articles are reviewed from several sources, which is Pubmed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The article written by English with key words for compliance with iron tablets and folic acid, side effects and other influencing factors. This article search starts from 2009 to 2019 and related books. Results: Anemia in adolescents is still a problem. Factors that influence the regularity of drinking iron and folic acid supplementation include the side effects caused, how to consume the iron and folic acid supplement correctly without combine with other drinks, socio-cultural factors, and difficulties swallowing tablets. Conclusion: Policies that need to be implemented are health promotion by increasing knowledge about anemia, the importance of iron and folic acid and conducting periodic supervision. This supervision can be done by carrying out the movement of taking iron tablets and folic acid simultaneously at the same time and day that is directly supervised by the school teacher.

Abstract

Infectious disease ranks first in the cause of morbidity in the developing countries including Indonesia especially in the eastern part of Indonesia. One of theleading infectious disease is hepatitis B that ranks ninth in the most leading cause of death. There are various cause of the spread of the disease includinglack of understanding in the infection measures including by the service giver of salon. Infection prevention behavior was caused by its service salon. Thepurpose of this study was to know the behavior in preventing infection of salon service giver in Semarang municipality. The study was a cross sectionalstudy, the independent variables were age, education, knowledge, attitude, infrastructure, supervisor support, and attitudes of service giver friend. Whilethe dependent variable was the behavior in the infection prevention measures. The sample was 50 salon service giver conducted with a purposive samplingmethod. The data analysis used chi-square and logistic regression. The result showed that there was a relationship between age, education, service giverfriend and infection prevention behavior, but there was no relationship between knowledge, attitude, infrastructure, supervisor support and infectionprevention behavior. The most influencing factor in infection preventing behavior was partner support of salon service giver (p=0,0002;OR =45.5). It isrecommended that salon owner provide tools used in accordance with the requirements/number of customers and make sure that to always take steps toprevent infections such as using schort, gloves.
