Abstract

Latar belakang: Pola makan beragam dan memenuhi kecukupan gizi akan mempengaruhi status gizi ibu menyusui. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan keragaman pangan dengan kecukupan gizi dan status gizi ibu menyusui di daerah pertanian Kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten Purbalingga.Metode: Jenis penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel sebanyak 60 ibu menyusui bayi usia 0-6 bulan dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive. Keragaman pangan diukur menggunakan MDD-W dari FAO, kecukupan gizi diukur menggunakan food recall 2x24 jam, status gizi menurut IMT dan ukuran LILA, serta persen lemak tubuh dihitung menggunakan rumus prediksi Paul Deurenberg. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan Rank Spearman.Hasil: Ibu menyusui berusia 20-35 tahun, 61,7% menyelesaikan pendidikan dasar, 88,3% IRT, 86,7% menggunakan kontrasepsi hormonal, 63,3% pendapatan keluarga <UMR, 66,7% jumlah anggota keluarga ≥ 4 orang, rerata skor keragaman pangan 5,57 (beragam), tingkat kecukupan energi, tingkat kecukupan protein, tingkat kecukupan karbohidrat ≤89% AKG (kurang), tingkat kecukupan lemak 90-110% AKG (normal),  tingkat kecukupan vitamin A ≥77% AKG (cukup), 65% persen lemak tubuh normal, 48,3% IMT kategori obesitas, dan 96,7% tidak berisiko KEK. Ada hubungan keragaman pangan dengan tingkat kecukupan vitamin A (p=0,000). Ada hubungan tingkat kecukupan protein dengan LILA (p=0,024). Ada hubungan persen lemak tubuh dengan IMT (p=0,000) dan LILA (p=0,000). Tidak ada hubungan keragaman pangan dengan IMT (p=0,426) dan LILA (p=0,433).Simpulan: Status gizi ibu menyusui tidak dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh keragaman pangan, namun, dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kecukupan protein, vitamin A dan persen lemak tubuh.Kata kunci: Keragaman Pangan; Kecukupan Gizi; Status Gizi; Ibu Menyusui; Daerah Pertanian ABSTRACTTitle: Relationship between Food Diversity with Nutritional Adequacy and Nutritional Status of Breastfeeding Mothers in Agricultural Area of Karangreja, Purbalingga RegencyBackground: The nutritional intake of breastfeeding mothers is still less than the nutrition adequacy rate because this is due to a less diverse diet. Consumption of various foods must be by the nutritional needs to achieve an ideal nutritional status. This study aims to analyze the relationship between food diversity with nutritional adequacy and nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers in agricultural area of Karangreja, Purbalingga Regency.Method:This type of research is analytic observational with a cross sectional design. Sample of 60 breastfeeding mothers infants aged 0-6 months with purposive sampling. Measurement of food diversity variables using Minimum Dietary Diversity for Women (MDD-W) from FAO, nutritional adequacy using food recall 2x24 hours, nutritional status using Body Mass Index (BMI) and Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) measurements, and percent body fat using Paul Deurenberg's predictive formula. Data analysis used the Pearson correlation test and Rank Spearman.Result: The average food diversity score was 5.57(various); average energy adequacy, protein adequacy, carbohydrate adequacy level ≤89% RDA (lacking); average fat adequacy level 90-110% RDA (normal); average vitamin A adequacy level ≥77% RDA (adequate); as much as 65% percent of body fat is normal, 48,3% of BMI is obese, and 96.7% is not at risk of chronic energy deficiency. There was a relationship between food diversity and the adequacy level of vitamin A (p-value=0.001). There was a relationship between the protein adequacy level with MUAC (p-value=0.024). There was a relationship between percent body fat with BMI (p-value=0.001) and MUAC (p-value=0.001). There was no relationship between food diversity with BMI (p-value=0.426) and MUAC (p-value=0.433).Conclusion: Nutritional status of breastfeeding mothers was not directly affected by food diversity. Abstract

Communication technology development has influenced adolescent food choices and intakes. This study aimed to investigate the association between social media exposure to food and beverage content and nutrient intake among female adolescents. The study was conducted in a cross-sectional design. The targeted population was 104 female students aged 14–18 years old at 'XY' High School in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. Eighty-one subjects were chosen by clustered random sampling. Data were collected by interviews using structured questionnaires and a 3x24-hour recall method. Data analyses were conducted by chi-square, Fisher exact tests, and logistic regression. The median and standard deviations of social-media, the duration, frequency, and the number of accounts were 2.3±3.00 hours/access, 2.0±2.00 times/day, and 3.6±2.46 accounts/access, respectively. Mean and standard deviations of adequacy levels for energy 107.4±15.39% and protein 124.8±25.8%. Duration of social-media exposures (p-value = 0.040) and body image (p-value= 0.040) were associated with food selection. Food selection was associated with energy (p-value = 0.003) and protein (p-value = 0.002) adequacy levels. After controlling for body image, social-media exposure duration > 2.3 hours had an OR of 3.4 for selecting the accessed foods. It was concluded that social media exposure duration was associated with food selection, which was then associated with energy and protein intakes.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSepuluh Langkah Menuju Keberhasilan Menyusui (LMKM) merupakan kunci keberhasilan pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Pelaksanaan 10 LMKM di rumah sakit Kabupaten Kudus dipengaruhi oleh sistem birokrasi yang berbeda antara rumah sakit swasta dan pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan implementasi sepuluh langkah menuju keberhasilan menyusui antara rumah sakit swasta dan pemerintah di Kabupaten Kudus. Desain penelitian adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian untuk setiap rumah sakit adalah kepala ruang bersalin, bidan KIA, 2 dokter spesialis kebidanan, 3 bidan ruang nifas sebagai informan utama. Informan triangulasi meliputi direktur,manajer keperawatan, 3 pasien nifas dan 2 pasien hamil dari setiap rumah sakit. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis dengan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan implementasi 10 LMKM di rumah sakit swasta dan pemerintah. Hal yang belum dilaksanakan di rumah sakit swasta adalah tersedianya susu formula tanpa indikasi, rawat gabung masih parsial (2 jam setiap hari), kurangnya dukungan terhadap ibu dalam pemberian ASI sesuai kemauan bayi, tersedianya dot dan belum terbentuk KP-ASI. Hal tersebut berkaitan dengan keterbatasan sumber daya, komitmen implementor yang masih rendah dan lingkungan eksternal yang belum mendukung. Rumah sakit pemerintah belum melaksanakan penyuluhan kepada ibu hamil dan pembentukan KP-ASI. Hal tersebut disebabkan keterbatasan sumber daya khususnya pendanaan untuk pelatihan dan pengadaan media penyuluhan. Rumah sakit swasta diharapkan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan kebidanan sesuai standar sistem akreditasi rumah sakit dari pemerintah. The implementation of TSSB at hospitals in District of Kudus was influenced by a difference bureaucratic system between private and public hospitals. This research aimed to analyze the difference of the TSSB implementation for successful breastfeeding between private and public hospitals in District of Kudus. This was qualitative research. Main informants encompassed head of childbirth room, midwives of Maternal and Child Health, 2 obstetricians, and 3 midwives at post-natal room. Meanwhile,informants for triangulation purpose encompassed director, manager of nursing, 3 post-natal patients, and 2 pregnant women at each hospital. Data were collected by in-depth interview and analysed using a method of content analysis. The result of this research showed that some differences of the implementation of TSSB between private and public hospitals were as follows: at private hospitals, there was any formula milk without indication, joined treatment room was still partial (2 hours a day), and there was lack of support for mother in providing breastfeeding in accordance with babies’ need. In addition, there was any dot and there was no a support group of breastfeeding. These problems were due to limitation of resource, low commitment of an implementer, and lack of external environment support. In contrast, public hospitals had not provided information to pregnant women and had not formed a support group of breastfeeding. These problems were due to limitation of resource particularly funding for training and providing information media. As suggestions, private hospitals need to improve midwifery services in accordance with a standard of a hospital accreditation system from the government. Abstract

Dangers of Food Additives have an impact on the human body, for example the body will experience a decline in internal organ function such as causing cancer of the respiratory tract, digestive tract infections, sore throat, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and can cause several fatal diseases such as leukemia. This is knowing the formaldehyde content found in salted fish and the factors that influence the use of formaldehyde in the Rembang Regency area. This research uses analytic observational research with cross sectional approach. The samples in this study were all the population of 34 salted fish traders in all traditional markets in the Rembang Regency. The instruments in this study used a structured questionnaire and formalin test conducted at the Nutrition Laboratory of the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University. Data processing in this research uses a statistical test that is Chi-Square test. The results of this study are from 34 respondents obtained by respondents with good knowledge as much as 58.8% and respondent attitudes classified as good as much as 82.4%. Laboratory test results showed that samples containing formaldehyde amounted to 85.3% and those that did not contain formaldehyde amounted to 14.7%. Samples that did not contain formalin layur fish type. Based on the Chi-square statistical test, p = 1.00 was obtained in the relationship between traders 'knowledge and formalin content in salted fish and p = 0.559 in the relationship between traders' attitudes and formalin content in salted fish. Based on the results of statistical tests that there is no relationship between the knowledge of traders and the attitude of traders to the formaldehyde content of salted fish. This can be used as an improvement by several related parties, namely, the Health Office who can conduct further review of formalin in salted fish in the traditional markets in the Rembang Regency

Abstract

Narapidana mempunyai hak mendapatkan makanan yang layak sama halnya manusia pada umumnya. Hasil penelitian di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata sisa makanan narapidana sebesar 86,2%. Energi dan protein yang terbuang sebesar 54,3% dan 10%. Sebagian besar narapidana tidak mengkonsumsi energi dan protein yang cukup sehingga dapat mempengaruhi status gizi narapidana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan asupan energi dan protein dengan status gizi narapidana umum di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Klas I Semarang. Desain penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebesar 65 narapidana. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara menimbang makanan selama tiga hari tidak berurutan dan menggunakan semikuantitatif frekuensi pangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata asupan energi responden 2030,77 ± 471,467 kkal dan rerata asupan protein 66,59 ± 12,557 g. Sebagian besar responden memiliki status gizi kurang sebesar 55,3%. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecukupan energi responden sebagian besar kurang (53,8%) dan seluruh tingkat kecukupan protein responden kurang (100%). Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Rank Spearman menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan asupan energi dengan status gizi  (p value = 0,001 dan koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,713) dan ada hubungan asupan protein dengan status gizi (p value = 0,001 dan koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,721). Lembaga pemasyarakatan disarankan memberikan adanya variasi menu agar terpenuhinya kebutuhan gizi seimbang pada narapidana.

Abstract

Growth is the increasing physical size and structure of the body quantitatively. Growth of toddler measured with units of weight and length and achieving the optimal growth rate is a goal to achieve the survival of children under five. One of the important factors affecting toddler growth is mother's behavior especially in breastfeeding and weaning food. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of mother's behavior in breastfeeding and weaning food to the growth 6-24 months toddler in District Kestalan, Surakarta City. This research is an explanatory research with cross-sectional study design. The population in this study were 41 mothers who had baby aged 6-24 months in January – May 2017, the sample of the study was selected with using total sampling of 41 people. Analysis of data using descriptive and analytic with Rank Spearman test. The results showed the highest percentage of knowledge of high category mother in breastfeeding (78.0%) and weaning food (78.0%), the largest percentage of good mother's attitude in breastfeeding (82.9%) and weaning food (78.0%) and the greatest percentage of good category mother's practice in breastfeeding (80.5%) and weaning food.  (78.0%). There is a relationship of mother's behavior in breastfeeding and weaning food with growth of 6-24 months old with knowledge (p = 0,001), attitude (p = 0,001) and practice (p = 0,001). There was a relationship of mother's behavior in breastfeeding and weaning food to growth of 6-24 months old baby with knowledge (p = 0,001), attitude (p = 0,001) and practice (p = 0,001). It was concluded that there was a correlation between knowledge of mother’s attitude and practice in breastfeeding and weaning food to growth of 6-24 months old toddler. It is suggested that puskesmas officers will be more active and give new innovation when counseling related to breastfeeding and weaning food to mother toddler.

Abstract

Physical activity are at great risk of decreasing bone density. Office workers are among the groups at risk of decreasing bone density due to the assumption of less varied food consumption and low levels of physical activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between food consumption, nutritional status, and physical activity with bone density of educational staff in Faculty of Public Health Diponegoro University. This research is a type of quantitative research using cross sectional study design. Population in this research counted 78 people and research sample counted 38 people. Sampling technique in this study using simple random sampling. The results showed that bone density with less category (92.1% of respondents), nutritional status with obesity category I (78.9% respondent), energy consumption level with more category (60,5% respondent), carbohydrate consumption level with more category (42,1% respondents), consumption level of protein with light deficit category (55,3% respondent), level of fat consumption with enough category (47,4% respondent), calcium consumption level with moderate deficit category (42,1% respondents), phosphorus consumption rate with severe deficit category (65.8% respondents), frequency of caffeine consumption with rare category (76.3% respondents), and the level of physical activity with light category (92.1% of respondents). Rank Spearman correlation test showed that there was correlation between nutritional status variable with bone density in male respondents (p value = 0.001) while the other four variables (calcium consumption level, phosphorus consumption level, frequency of caffeine consumption and physical activity) were not related to bone density with p value = 0.411, 0.345, 0.561, and 0.632. The result of correlation test on female respondents showed that there were no variables related to bone density with p value = 0,069, 0,570, 0,318, 0,628 and 0,826. This study recommends respondents to eat with variety types of foods and increase physical activity.

Abstract

Penderita kanker yang melakukan kemoterapi berisiko mengalami penurunan berat badan yang drastis, disebabkan karena efek samping terapi pengobatan maupun hipermetabolisme tubuh. Penderita kanker di RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro cukup banyak dengan rata-rata kunjungan 22 orang per hari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan beberapa faktor gizi dan kemoterapi terhadap status gizi penderita kanker di Instalasi Rawat Jalan Poli Onkologi RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Kabupaten Sragen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling, dengan responden sebanyak 70 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan gizi dan formulir recall 2x24 jam konsumsi gizi, kemudian diolah dengan aplikasi nutrisurvey. Data dianalisis dengan uji Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 61,4% responden mempunyai tingkat pengetahuan gizi yang tergolong baik. Sebanyak 88,6% responden mempunyai Tingkat Kecukupan Energi (TKE) yang kurang dan 48,6% responden mempunyai tingkat kecukupan Vitamin A yang kurang. Sebesar 51,4% responden mempunyai Tingkat Kecukupan Protein (TKP) berlebih dan 77,1% responden mempunyai tingkat kecukupan vitamin C berlebih. Sebesar 42,9% responden mempunyai Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) tergolong underweight dan sebesar 54,3% responden sedang menjalani kemoterapi siklus 1. Ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan gizi dengan TKE (ρ=0,440, p=0,001) dan TKP (ρ=0,440, p=0,001) serta ada hubungan antara TKE (ρ=0,333, p=0,005), TKP (ρ=0,440, p=0,001) dan siklus kemoterapi (ρ=0,721, p=0,001) dengan IMT penderita kanker. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penderita kanker untuk meningkatkan konsumsi buah 2-3 porsi dan sayur 3-4 porsi sehari untuk meningkatkan asupan antioksidan.

Abstract

Hypertension in pregnancy have an impact on maternal and child mortality which can be prevented by intake of antioxidants (flavonoids), one of which is sourced from soy milk. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of soy milk consumption against systolic and diastolic blood pressure in pregnant women. This research was Quasi Experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population were pregnant women in the work area of Tlogosari Wetan Health Center Semarang about 300 peoples. Samples selected purposively amount 17 people for each group. The intervention group was given 200 ml of soy milk per day for 14 days. The instruments used in this study were structured questionnaires, food recall 24 hours form with repetition, aneroid spygmomanometer, and MUAC tape. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Mann Whitney. The results have shown there were no differences in the characteristic of respondent (age, gravidity, educational level, ocuupational, income per capita, nutritional status, and nutrient intake) among groups. Systolic blood pressure before and after treatment in the two groups have significant differences, diastolic blood pressure before and after treatment differed only in the intervention group, whereas in the control group it didn’t. The decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group was higher than control group, with 10.59 mmHg differences. There were significant differences in changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the two groups (p <0.05). Suggestions from this study are pregnant women can maintain their blood pressure by consuming soy milk regularly.

Abstract

A prisoner has the right to get adequate nutritional food. The success of food service related to plate waste presences. Plate waste is more than 25% showed that feeding was not optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with plate waste of prisoners in Correctional Institution Class I Semarang. This study used analytic observational with the cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling amounted to 65 prisoners. Data collected through interviews and calculation of food waste using food weighing for three days. The results showed that almost prisoners had a lot of plate waste (86,2%), the most plate waste is the staple food (46,1%), vegetables (53,1%), and vegetable side dishes (33,3%). The prisoners represented that the menu was not variety accounted for 50,8%, the food appearance was interesting (50,8%), that food tastes are delicious (53,8%), and most of the prisoners consumed food from outside twice a week (49,2%). The highest plate waste in the morning accounted for 45,8%. Based on Spearman Rank Test, the factors related to plate waste is food tastes (p-value = 0,044 and the correlation coefficient (ρ) = -0,251) and food from outside (p-value = 0,001 and the correlation coefficient (ρ) = 0,602) and factors unrelated is menu variations (p-value = 0,554) and the food appearance (p-value = 0,914). The correctional institution suggests to evaluate the standard portion, especially in the morning and keep improving the food tastes.
