Abstract

This study compares the Type-1 Fuzzy and Interval Type-2 Fuzzy in Decision Support System (DSS). Particular case studied in this paper deals with supplier selection for development of new product. DSS is developed to recommend a decision to provide assessment criteria on the supplier. All the type of membership functions and rules between these systems are equally applied. It is shown that  in Type-2 Fuzzy can manage the level of uncertainty in decision making. In general, both systems have a surface resemblance. The result shows that type-2 Fuzzy based decision making with a level of uncertainty is able to provide alternative decisions.

Abstract

Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) is a tool that can be used to describe the system designed. DFD depictions preceded by Context Diagrams (CD). CD uses three symbols, namely: external entity, a symbol to represent the flow of data and symbols to represent process. DFD using four symbols, namely: all symbols used on the CD plus one more symbol to represent the data store. DFD depiction is more focused on the process flow of data within the system that will make users better understand how data flows in the system and how the data is processed in the system. DFD is implemented at the school of information systems at the Laboratory of High School Development Padang State University (UNP Laboratory High School Building).

Abstract

With the development of Augmented Reality (AR) technology, life becomes more real, by combining the virtual world into the real world in 3-dimensional form using the camera feature. The purpose of this application is to assist in the teaching and learning process in computer assembly subjects by utilizing augmented reality technology. AR is very helpful in visualizing the shape of objects, so the creation of this application as a learning media for components in computer assembly helps in accessing information and interacting using 3-dimensional objects. The method used is Marker Based Tracking, so to display the object a marker is needed. This application can observe from various sides so that it is even more real. It is hoped that this application will provide benefits to users in introducing and providing information about computer assembly learning using augmented reality technology.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology is increasingly sophisticated, especially in the field of networks. This development is closely related to the internet which is one of the most popular information providers today. The increasing need for information will demand fast access to get the latest information, one of which is the most dominant influencing the speed of access to a particular website is the service provider. Therefore it takes a server that has good quality and performance or has many servers so that it is not burdened on one server. Application load balancing is one of the right solutions to overcome this problem. The load balancing application will share the network load and avoid overloading one of the servers. The load balancing application method used is round robin with stickiness. When one server crashes, the load balancing application will automatically redirect requests to another server that is still functioning, so that the website can be accessed..

Abstract

In the development of increasingly advanced technology, the security of a data is something that must be considered in maintaining the confidentiality of information. The data contained in the file contain information that can only be known by certain parties. In general, files are stored or shared into a storage that can be accessed using the internet or known as cloud storage. There are ways to secure information on a file so that it cannot be hacked or read to unauthorized parties, namely by using cryptographic methods. Cryptography is a technique to improve the security aspect of information. Cryptography is used to convert information that can be read into unreadable and return an information that was previously unreadable to be legible. In this study cryptography uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm and Google Drive cloud storage services.

Abstract

The Telaten Karya application is a medium for ordering tools and building materials at the Telaten Karya shop. Through this application, customers can order building materials anywhere and anytime, then make it easier for customers to get the latest product data updates. The development of this ordering application uses the Waterfall method, a storage system with a MySQL database, and uses the Application Programming Interface (API) as a communication medium between the system as a server and the android application as a client. After implementing this application, the promotion and customer service process becomes easier.

Abstract

Ayah Ibu Transport is a transportation company in Payakumbuh. Over time, passenger demand at PT. Ayah Ibu Transport continues to increase, the increase in passengers affects administrative services to passengers both in terms of in­formation and time of ordering. Management of departure schedules, ticket prices, and other information has become increas­ingly complex from time to time. To help solve problems with increasingly complex administrative services, a ticket booking application at PT. Ayah Ibu Transport based on android. The goal is to make it easier for prospective passengers to order tickets, making it easier for the admin of PT. Father and Mother of Transportation in managing bookings and reducing the number of queues in ticket bookings. This application is made by data collection methods, application design, application development with Android Studio tools using Kotlin programming language on the Android section and PHP language on the server side. Thus this appli­cation can make it easier for prospective passengers and admins to carry out the order management process while reducing queues.

Abstract

The risk assessment of air pollution is an essential matter in the area of air quality computing. It provides useful information supporting air quality (AQ) measurement and pollution control. The outcomes of the evaluation have societal and technical influences on people and decision-makers. The existing air pollution risk assessment employs different qualitative and quantitative methods. This study aims to develop an AQ-risk model based on the Nested Monte Carlo Simulation (NMCS) and concentrations of several air pollutant parameters for forecasting daily AQ in the atmosphere. The main idea of NMCS lies in two main parts, which are the Outer and Inner parts. The Outer part interacts with the data sources and extracts a proper sampling from vast data. It then generates a scenario based on the data samples. On the other hand, the Inner part handles the assessment of the processed risk from each scenario and estimates future risk. The AQ-risk model is tested and evaluated using real data sources representing crucial pollution. The data is collected from an Italian city over a period of one year. The performance of the proposed model is evaluated based on statistical indices, coefficient of determination (R2), and mean square error (MSE). R2 measures the prediction ability in the testing stage for both parameters, resulting in 0.9462 and 0.9073 prediction accuracy. Meanwhile, MSE produced average results of 9.7 and 10.3, denoting that the AQ-risk model provides a considerably high prediction accuracy.

Abstract

Academic Advisory Guidance at the Information Technology Department  Politeknik Negeri Padang is currently carried out manually, causing several obstacles, including time and place. To help with problems that occur, a website-based academic guidance system was built using the waterfall method. The stages of implementation methodology carried out are Analysis, System Design, Program Code Generation, and Program Testing. With this system, students and academic advisors can interact anytime and anywhere without having to meet face-to-face. This can also be a solution for students who have both academic and personal problems.

Information disclosure in the digital era is now very important for government institutions, includingNagari whose communities are diverse, so that all public information from Nagari can be known by the public.Therefore, the existence of the nagari website can be optimized for its function as a nagari promotion media.Service activities are carried out in 4 stages, namely the preparation, implementation, mentoring and evaluationstages at Nagari Koto Tinggi Kuranji Hilir, Sungai Limau District, Padang Pariaman Regency which previouslydid not have a nagari website. The purpose of this service is to help provide nagari profiles website, nagariwebsite governance training and digital promotions, as well as provide ongoing assistance after service activities.After conducting an evaluation at the end of the activity in the form of a questionnaire, it was concluded that thetraining participants had understood how to manage the nagari website and for digital promotion purposes, thiswas proven by the updating of the nagari website content at the address www.kototinggikuranjihilir.org.
