Abstract

Suatu  penelitian  dilakukan  untuk  menguji  pengaruh  tiga  formula  pakan  komplit  menggunakan sumber  protein daun lamtoro  (Pakan1),  glirisidia  (Pakan2),  dan kaliandra  (Pakan3)  terhadap  penampilan reproduksi domba ekor tipis.  Penelitian menggunakan 18 ekor domba dara ekor tipis (kira-kira berumur 8 bulan)  yang  ditempatkan   dalam  ruangan  bersekat  (individual)   pada  kandang  pangung  milik  Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian Jawa Tengah di Ungaran.  Masing-masing ternak secara acak diberi salah satu di antara ketiga macam pakan percobaan tersebut.  Di samping itu penelitian ini juga menggunakan 3 ekor pejantan  domba ekor gemuk.   Variabel yang dievaluasi  antara lain konsumsi  pakan, pertumbuhan ternak,  umur  awal  kawin,  bobot  awal  kawin  serta  tingkat  kebuntingan   ternak.     Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa domba dara yang diberi Pakan2  mengkonsumsi bahan kering pakan (535,7 g/h) lebih tinggi  (P<0,05)  dari  pada  yang  menerima  Pakan1   (489,7  g/h)  maupun  Pakan3   (500,3  g/h).    Data  ini menjelaskan bahwa palatabilitas Pakan2  adalah yang terbaik di antara ketiga pakan percobaan.  Konsisten dengan  itu, pertambahan  bobot hidup (37,4 g/h) dan bobot  kawin awal (17,88  kg) domba  yang diberi pakan komplit daun glirisidia (Pakan2) juga lebih tinggi (P<0,05) dari yang menerima Pakan1  (21 g/h dan 15,88kg)  maupun yang mengkonsumsi  Pakan3  (20,4 g/h dan 16,37 kg).   Meskipun  demikian,  pengaruh perbedaan penggunaan daun leguminosa kering dalam pakan terhadap tingkat kebuntingan ternak domba tidak bermakna  (66.7% : 66,7% : 60%, masing-masing  untuk ternak yang menerima  Pakan1  : Pakan2  : Pakan3).  Secara keseluruhan penelitian ini memberikan kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan daun leguminosa kering sebagai sumber protein dalam pakan komplit pada perbibitan domba tidak menimbulkan  dampak negatif.

Abstract

ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE STUDENT’S PERCEPTION ON TEACHER COMPETENCY AND TEACHER-STUDENT EDUCATIVE INTERACTION TO THE MATHEMATICS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF XI GRADERS OF SMA N 1 TERAS BOYOLALI Budi Utomo Sebelas Maret University The objective of learning mathematics is to grow the structuring of reason or logical thinking ability and positive attitude of students that are useful in studying science and in the application of mathematics in everyday life, but in fact students of mathematics is seen as adaunting subject, resulting in student achievement is low. Therefore it is necessary to seek changes in the process of learning math fun is a top priority so as to improve student math achievement The objective of research is to find out whether there is or not relationship of the student’s perception on teacher competency and teacher-student educative interaction to the mathematics learning achievement, relationship of the student’s perception on teacher competency to the mathematics learning achievement, and relationship of the teacher-student educative interaction to the mathematics learning achievement. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method using correlational study approach. The population of research was the XI graders of SMA N 1 Teras Boyolali in the school year of 2010/2011, consisting of 234 students. The sample was taken using cluster random sampling, consisting of 76 students. Techniques of collecting data used were scale for the student’s perception on teacher competency and the teacher-student educative interaction variables, and documentation for mathematics learning achievement variable. Method of collecting data used was a multiple linear regression analysis and Pearson Product Moment correlation helped by SPSS computer program for MS Windows version 13. Considering the result of data analysis, it can be found Fregression = 50.485 wit p < 0.05. It shows the significant result, meaning that the student’s perception on teacher competency and the teacher-student educative interaction simultaneously have significant relation to the learning achievement. Result      rx1y = 0.762 with p < 0.05 means that there is a significant relationship between the student’s perception on teacher competency and the mathematics learning achievement, while rx2y = 0.164 with p < 0,05 means that there is a significant relationship between the teacher-student educative interaction and the mathematics learning achievement. The effective contribution given by student’s perception on teacher competency and teacher-student educative interaction predictors to the mathematics learning achievement is R = 0.58 or 58%.   Keywords: student’s perception on teacher competency, teacher-student educative interaction, mathematics learning achievement

Abstract

The rapid epidemic growth of HIV is continuing in Indonesia. There are some factors which have influenced the spreading of this epidemic in Indonesia, such as the poor awareness to avoid unsafe free sex attitude and the sharing of needles and syringes among intravenous drug users (IDUs). The sexual transmission of HIV has also apparently increased in Tulungagung. Commercial sex workers play a significant role in the spread of HIV in Tulungagung. People in Tulungagung have worked at other countries as Indonesian migrants. This condition can cause the increase number of HIV-1 case and the possibility of genetic variation (subtype) HIV-1 in Tulungagung. This research is aimed to analyze the subtype and to determine estimation of transmission mode on infected patient of HIV-1 and AIDS who came to Seruni clinic Dr. Iskak hospital in Tulungagung. 40 HIV?AIDSpatients were interviewed to determine the subtype and the transmission mode. The results showed that 14 of 40 plasma samples (35%) were successfully to amplified and sequenced. OverallCRF01-AE wereidentified as predominant subtype among HIV/AIDS patients in Tulungagung. Based on individual information, 31 of 40 subjects (77%) were heterosexual transmission.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF FOS SUPPLEMENTATION TO COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING IN DIARRHEA CASES AND GROWTH IN BABY 6-12 MONTHThe overall objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of adding fructo oligosaccharides (FOS) to complementary foods on the frequency and duration of diarrheal episodes and physical growth of 6-12 month old infants. The study was a double-blind randomized controlled trial carried out in the District of Bogor, Indonesia in 2004. Enrollees were 6-month old infants. Subjects were allocated to one of three study groups: Group FOS 4.0 received complementary food (CF) with 4.0% FOS added, Group FOS 3.2 received CF with 3.2% FOS, and Group FOS 0.0 received CF with no FOS. Infants received CF daily during the 6-month duration of the study. Among 192 infants enrolled, 163 had complete data for analysis. The results of the analysis on the cumulative number of general episode of diarrhea showed that only the FOS 3.2 group had significantly fewer episodes than the FOS 0.0 group with 1.10±1.30 episode and 1.73±1.90 episode respectively (p=0,02). Analysis on the number of episodes with =2 days of duration of diarrhea showed both FOS 4.0 and FOS 3.2 groups had significantly fewer episodes than the FOS 0.0 group, with 0,62+0,97 for the FOS 4.0 group, 0,62±1,17 for the FOS 3.2 group, and 1,21±1,59 for the FOS 0.0 group (P=0,02). The significant effect of FOS appeared after 4 months of intervention and continued up to 12 months of age. The analysis showed no significant effect of FOS on the cumulative duration of diarrhea and on the physical growth of the babies.Keywords: babies, MP-ASI, FOS, diarrhea, and physical growth

Abstract

This study describes how teachers grade I, II, and III SDN Kemasan I Surakartamanage thematic learning from planning, implementation, assessment and anyobstacles encountered. This research used qualitative research with researchsubjects principals, teachers of class I, II, and III. The data collection techniqueare by interview, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. Data analysistechnique used is interactive analysis model, namely through data collection, datareduction, data presentation and the conclusion. To obtain such data validity, thenused triangulation. The results showed that in planning the teacher has not madea competency mapping as it should. On implementation, the learning is dominatedby teachers and materials are still fragmentary. Learning has not centered on thetheme and learners. The types of assessment used by teachers are a field test, multiple choice and description. Teachers assessed only on the cognitive domain alone while on the affective and psychomotor yet done. Teachers are still obstacles to the plan that is preparing a syllabus of thematic learning. Another obstacle encountered in the implementation of the teacher is still difficulty in creating a student-centered learning and the lack of teaching aids also be a limiting factor in the implementation of thematic learning in SDN Kemasan I Surakarta.

Abstract

ABSTRAK            Model pembelajaran kooperatif memiliki berbagai tipe dengan langkah yang berbeda-beda, antara lain model jigsaw dan model think pair share. Model jigsaw dan model think pair share diharapkan mampu miningkatkan daya pikir dan kreativitas peserta didik. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah adakah perbedaan hasil belajar Geografi antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model jigsaw dengan model think pair share kelas XI di SMA N 2 OKU. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar Geografi antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model jigsaw dengan model think pair share kelas XI di SMA N 2 OKU. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah “ada perbedaan hasil belajar Geografi antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model jigsaw dengan model think pair share kelas XI di SMA N 2 OKU”.            Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI semester I SMA N 2 OKU yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan Purposive Sample yaitu kelas XI.IPS sebagai kelompok eksperimen satu dan kelas XI.IPS sebagai kelompok eksperimen dua. Variabel penelitian model Jigsaw dan model Think Pair Share sebagai variabel bebas dan hasil belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Metode penelitian eksperimen, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi dan tes.            Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji-t dengan taraf signifikan (α=0,05).Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada kelas XI.IPS didapat nilai rata-rata hasil belajar 84 sedangkan pada kelas XI.IPS didapat nilai rata-rata hasil belajar 71. Untuk pengujian hipotesis didapat thitung = 5,28 sedangkan ttabel = 1,996. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar Geografi antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model jigsaw dengan model think pair share kelas XI di SMA N 2 OKU. Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, Model Jigsaw, Model Think Pair Share

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan global mengubah orientasi pekerjaan seseorangyang semula terdefinisi formal (seperti guru, dokter, banker, atauwartawan) menjadi beranekaragam yang mungkin tidak sesuaidengan latar belakang jurusan pendidikannya. Perubahan tersebutmasuk akal mengingat tuntutan perkembangan teknologi,pertambahan penduduk, keterbatasan sumber daya alam,industrialisasi, pertambahan lulusan perguruan tinggi, dan semakinsempitnya peluang kerja. Saat ini yang dipentingkan tidak hanyakemampuan teknis dalam bekerja, tetapi karakter dan nilai-nilaiyang diyakini dalam mendukung karir pekerjaannya. Nilai-nilaikarakter yang melekat pada pribadi ini akan membawa kesuksesandi masa depan. Mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Geografi JurusanP.IPS (Akuntansi, Sejarah, Sosiologi) sebagai bagian calon pencarikerja perlu mengenal, menyadari, belajar, dan bertindak sesuaikarakter-karakter tersebut agar mendapatkan keberhasilan padaapapun bidang kerja yang ditekuni. Nilai-nilai karakter tersebut yangakan diuraikan pada makalah ini.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTutor sebaya akan menunjukkan keuntungan dengan menggunakanpotensi mahasiswa yang mampu menyerap pelajaran dengan cepat sehingga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pendidikan geografi Universitas PGRI Palembang. tujuan penelitian ini adalah diharapkan menjelaskan peranan peer totor (totor sebaya) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pendidikan geografi di Program Studi Geografi Universitas PGRI Palembang.Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan menggunakan strategi siklus. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan Mahasiswa Geografi semester tiga Universitas PGRI Palembang terdiri dari 11 kelas dengan jumlah 467 mahasiswa. Sampel yang digunakan Purposive Sample yaitu kelas 3D sebagai subyek penelitian sebanyak 46 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peer totor (totor sebaya) dalammeningkatkan hasil praktikum mahasiswa pendidikan geografi di Program Studi Geografi Universitas PGRI Palembang. Ketuntasan praktikum mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 15,22 % atau 7 mahasiswa.Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, praktikum geomorfologi, dan peer totor (totorsebaya).

Abstract

Bioinsecticide is an alternative to overcome larva resistence to insecticide and reduce environtment contamination. This research is to analyze the effect of areca seed extract to An. vagus larva. The research is taken time in 2017. The research design is laboratory experiment with post test only control group design. The areca seed and An. vagus larva are collected from Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya, then the seeds were extracted with ultrasonic method. The effect of the extract is evaluated based on LC50 and LC90 value. The sample from 25 An. vagus larva instar III are released into areca seed extract on 500, 1250, 2000, 2750, 3500, 4250 and 5000 ppm and observed within 6, 12, 18 and 24 hours and 6 repetition. The data then analyzed with probit analysis and ANOVA. The areca seed extract eliminates An. vagus larva as much as 61.33% under 6 hours exposure with 5000 ppm, 52% larva mortality on 12 hours with 4250 ppm, 56% larva mortality on 18 hours with 3500 ppm, and 55% larva mortality on 24 hours with 2750 ppm. The value of LC50 and LC90 on 6, 12, 18 and 24 hours are 4654.374 and 6320,732; 3717.286 and 5127.489 ppm; 3201,473 and 4775,206 ppm; 2385,297 and 4496,708 ppm. There is variation of larva mortality percentage average on every concentration and exposure time, the higher the concentration and exposure time the higher An. vagus larva mortality.
