The object of this thesis was phatic communication. The purpose of this study was aimed to know and reveal the shapes and fuction of the phatic utterance in communication that japanese is super phatic type of society. This thesis was using Nabuhiro Doi‘s Flying Colors as data source. This study was using descriptive qualitative as the method of analysis, and using documentation technique, notes and listening technique to collect the data. Speech and SPEAKING are useful for knowing the utterance about whom, norms, purpose, etc in the communication. This thesis found that phatic utterance has seven shapes which are praise utterance, grateful utterance, appologize utterance, greeting utterance, encourage utterance, and small talk utterance. This thesis also has three utterance function which are, to open communication, to break the silence and to close the communication.

Gabungan dari dua kata kerja yang dianggap sebagai satu kata disebut dengan fukugoudoushi. Fukugoudoushi terbentuk dari verba unsur depan (V1) dan verba unsur belakang (V2). Salah satu verba yang dapat menjadi V2 sehingga membentuk fukugoudoushi ialah verba nuku. Menurut Sugimura, fukugoudoushi dengan V2 nuku mengandung dua makna, yaitu makna pergerakan fisik yang terbagi menjadi tujuh jenis makna dan makna aspek keadaan yang terbagi menjadi dua jenis makna. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah Yomiuri Online dengan mengambil kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung fukugoudoushi ~nuku sebagai data yang telah diteliti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Yomiuri Online terdapat fukugoudoushi ~nuku sebanyak 32 kata yang termasuk ke dalam jenis dousasou no doushi dan joutaisou no doushi dengan jenis makna terbanyak terdapat pada jenis makna kansui yaitu sebanyak 14 kata, serta pada perubahan makna V1 sebanyak 30 kata menghasilkan makna yang sejalan dengan V1 nya. Hubungan makna komponen pembentuk V1 dan V2 pada fukugoudoushi ~nuku yang terdapat pada sumber data sebanyak empat jenis hubungan makna dan terdapat satu jenis hubungan makna komponen pembentuk yang tidak ditemukan pada sumber data.

AbstractThis Community Service activity has a purpose; provide direction for the community in the Malaka Sari environment on the importance of health. Japanese society is known to have characteristics as a healthy society, so it can be used as a reference for people in other areas who are seeking a healthy lifestyle. The method used in this activity is through briefings and workshops in which there is training and in the form of providing material which is then practiced and simulated. Efforts to apply the concept of healthy living in the style of Japanese society is expected to be a positive activity whose impact will be seen in the community of Malaka Sari, East Jakarta. This activity is then followed up with activities that directly involve the community in implementing healthy living in their daily activities AbstrakKegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan; memberikan arahan untuk masyarakat di lingkungan Kelurahan Malaka Sari akan pentingnya kesehatan. Masyarakat Jepang dikenal memiliki karakteristik sebagai masyarakat yang sehat, sehingga dapat dijadikan rujukan untuk masyarakat didaerah lain yang sedang mengusahakan pola hidup sehat. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yakni melalui pengarahan dan workshop yang didalamnya terdapat pelatihan dan berupa pemberian materi kemudian dipraktikan dan disimulasikan. Upaya penerapan konsep hidup sehat ala masyarakat Jepang ini diharapkan menjadi kegiatan positif yang akan terlihat pengaruhnya di lingkungan masyarakat Malaka Sari Jakarta Timur. Selanjutnya kegiatan ini ditindaklanjuti dengan kegiatan yang langsung melibatkan masyarakat dalam menerapkan hidup sehat pada kegiatan sehari-hari

The aim of this study is to determine the type of transposition and modulation that occurred in the manga: Meitantei Conan, and translation process of the occurred transposition and modulation. This study uses a transposition classification based on the theory of Catford, modulation based on the theory of Vinay and Dabelnet, and translation process based on the theory Nida and Taber. This study uses “Simak” method for collecting the data and Padan Translational method for analysis the data. Based on the analysis result, there are 44 data of sentences which transposition and modulation occurred. There are 32 data of transpositions and 13 data of modulations. Also, there are 5 data which transposition and modulation occurred on the same sentences. The most of transpositions data goes to unit shift category, and the most of modulations data goes to reversal of terms category. These happened because there are many words and terms that can not be directly translated to “Bahasa” because of cultural differences.

This study aims to determine the types of speech acts and forms of expressive speech of children. The background for this research is moral education or doutoku kyouiku (道徳教育) which has been taught from an early age to children, making them unable to express expressions straightforwardly. The theory used in this study is the theory of Searle (1969) and Wijana (1996) as a reference regarding the types and forms of expressive speech acts. The results obtained from the analysis are the types of direct literal speech acts that are mostly used by children. Based on the analysis of 24 data, it is known that there are expressions of gratitude (1), worry (2), anger (3), apologize (3), praise (3), criticize (5), blaming (1), feeling guilty (1), sad (2), happy (2), fear (1). As well as indicators of nonverbal language contained in this study as many as 10 data.
