Riskesdas in 2013 shows the incidence of pneumonia in Indonesia is 1.8% with a prevalence of 4.5%. If translated by number then at least from 23 infants who died every hour and 4 of them because of pneumonia and in 2015 there are 554,650 cases of reported pneumonia. This study aims to determine the relationship of nutritional status with the incidence of pneumonia in infants in hospitals dr. M Yunus Bengkulu Year 2017. The research method used is a quantitative survey with case control approach retrospectively. The number of samples for the case was 28 toddlers and for the control sample of 56 infants. The results of this study found that the variables of nutritional status and age there is a significant relationship with the incidence of pneumonia in toddlers with the value p = 0.00 OR = 9.2273 and p = 0.001 OR = 1.077. And there is no sex relationship with the incidence of pneumonia with p = 1.00. So the conclusion of this study is there is a significant relationship between nutritional status and age with the incidence of pneumonia in infants in hospitals dr. M Yunus Bengkulu where the variable age as an outside variable. The suggestion of this research is can be used as literature to increase the insight and information and health education, can increase the knowledge of health personnel to be more competent in handling the case of pneumonia, and hopefully the result of this research can be used as input or comparison material for subsequent researchers and Other researchers may develop research by linking other factors.

Abstract

Growth and development has increased rapidly at an early age, from 0 to 5 years. This period is often referred to as the phase of the "Golden Age". Golden age is a very important time to pay attention to child development carefully in order to be detected as early as possible in case of abnormality. Impaired growth at the beginning of the baby's life was caused by malnutrition as a baby, giving complementary feeding too early or too late (MOH, 2005) to determine the relationship of giving early complementary feeding with growth and development in children under 3 years of age. The study design used in this study is the Survey Analytics, using a "Cross-sectional" where research is used to examine the relationship giving early complementary feeding on the growth and development of toddlers by using the approach of observation research (collecting data) is done once and within the same (time point approach). The population in this study were all children under the age of 3 years working inSawah Lebar Clinic, amounting to 90 people. The sample used in this study is the total sampling, sampling method is a door to door. The result showed that the majority of mothers giving complementary feeding early, almost all children have abnormal growth, more than most children have abnormal development, there is a correlation between the provision of complementary feeding with Growth Early child under 3 years of age and there is a relationship between giving the MP-ASI Early child Development under the age of 3 years. Suggestion: For health workers specially for Midwives to give education about the importance of monitoring the growth and development of toddlers because this period is often referred to as the phase of "Golden Age".

Abstract

Approximately 40 % of women aged 14-50 years experiencing pre-menstrual syndrome, better known as PMS (pre-menstruation syndrome). This study aims to determine the effect of a structured intervention (counseling and natural techniques) against reducing premenstrual syndrome complaints in young women aged 12-15 years in the city of Bengkulu. This type of research is a pre-experimental, with one group pretest posttest design. The populations in this study were all girls (191 girls) in grade one of Junior High School 2, Bengkulu city in 2013. The sample was 35 samples girls taken with accidental sampling technique. Data was collected using primary data to obtain symptom of premenstrual syndrome by using a check list format and schedule student menstruation. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate statistical tests by using a dependent t-test (paired t test) at α 5 % (one tail ). Results obtained by univariate analysis the average complaint premenstrual syndrome experienced by young women before intervention structured is 31.29 with a standard deviation of 7.238, the average sympton of premenstrual syndrome experienced by young women after structured interevensi is 27.86 with a standard deviation of 7.815. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a structured intervention has efffect in reducing symptom of premenstrual syndrome (p =0.022). It is suggested to do this intervention regularly in order to reduce premenstrual syndrome.
