Abstract

Kemampuan mengkonstruksi pengetahuan merupakan aspek yang penting dalam belajar matematika. Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam mengkonstruksi pengetahuan mempengaruhi kualitas belajar siswa yang berdampak pada rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dilakukan dengan pembelajaran yang menekankan keaftifan siswa. Model pembelajaran yang menekankan siswa yang akan dibahas pada makalah ini adalah Model pembelajaran dengan Strategi Konstruktivisme Student Active Learning berbantuan CD interaktif (KSAL). Pengembangan model pembelajaran KSAL mengacu pada model pengembangan Plom (1977) yang terdiri dari Premilinary Investigation, Design, Realization, Test, Evaluation, Revision, and Implementation. Model KSAL memiliki unsure sintakmatik yang tercermin dalam RPP memuat strategi yang merupakan modifikasi model TTW dan model CLD yang terdiri dari bridge, grouping, think, write, reflection, and evaluation. Model ini menempatkan guru sebagai fasilitator. CD interaktif dalam model KSAL ini dirancang agar siwa belajar mandiri. Materi dalam CD terdiri dari materi volum benda putar, lembar kerja siswa, lembar tugas siswa, permainan dan tes akhir dan disusun secara kontruktivisme yakni memungkinkan siswa membangun pengetahuan dalam menemukan konsep volum benda putar. Kata kunci: kontruktivisme, Student Active Learning, volum benda putar.

Abstract

Pada persamaan diferensial terdapat klasifikasi yaitu persamaan diferensial linear dan persamaan diferensial tak linear. Salah satu contoh dari persamaan diferensial tak linear yaitu persamaan Duffing. Persamaan Duffing adalah persamaan tak linear yang menggambarkan osilator dengan ketaklinearan pangkat tiga. Persamaan Duffing digunakan oleh banyak peneliti sebagai suatu pendekatan model banyak sistem fisik, persamaan ini memperlihatkan satu jangkauan sangat luas dari perilaku dalam sistem dinamika tak linear. Salah satu aplikasi pada persamaan Duffing tersebut adalah weak signal detection. Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas model persamaan Duffing osilator pada aplikasi weak signal detection kemudian diselesaikan menggunakan metode aproksimasi salah satunya yaitu metode Averaging. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh model persamaan Duffing osilator pada aplikasi weak signal detection serta solusi aproksimasi dari model persamaan Duffing osilator pada aplikasi weak signal detection menggunakan metode Averaging dengan nilai parameter yang berbeda-beda yang solusinya dibandingkan dengan metode numerik yaitu metode Runge Kutta orde empat. Hasil yang diperoleh kemudian divisualisasikan menggunakan program Maple-12.On the differential equations there is classificaton i.e linear differential equations and nonlinear differential equations. One example of nonlinear differential equations is Duffing equation. Duffing equation is used by many researchers as a model of physical systems approach, this equation shows a very wide range of behavior in nonlinear dynamics system. One of the applications on the Duffing equation is weak signal detection. This research will be discussed Duffing oscillator equation model in weak signal detection applications then solved using approximation methods one of which is the averaging method. From the research results obtained  model equation of Duffing oscillator in weak signal detection applications, and approximate solution of the model equation of Duffing oscillator in weak signal detection applications using the averaging method with varying parameter values and its solution compared with the numerical method that is fourth order of Runge Kutta method. The obtained of results then visualized using Maple-12 program.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to test the quality of SSCS learning with a contextual approach and describe the mathematical literacy skill in terms of students’ self-efficacy levels. This research was a type of mixed quantitative and qualitative research. This research was conducted at State Senior High School 1 Kendal in the academic year of 2015/2016. The research subjects were X grade students consisting of one experimental class with the SSCS learning treatment with a contextual approach and one control class. In the experimental class, it was chosen 2 students in the high, medium, and low categories based on students’ self-efficacy. Testing the quality of learning was seen from 3 stages, namely the stages of planning, implementation, and assessment. The results were obtained that SSCS learning with contextual approach is in good quality. Students with high categories for high self-efficacy and low self-efficacy can fulfill the seven components of mathematics literacy well. Students with categorization for high self-efficacy and low self-efficacy are able to fulfill the six components of mathematics literacy well but they are still lacking in the reasoning and argument components. Students with low categories for high or low self-efficacy both have good skills in the communication component but are lacking in the other six components of mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of students' metacognitive skills in solving integral calculus problems seen from the aspects of planning, monitoring and evaluation metacognitive skills. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were 3rd semester students who had taken courses or were taking calculus II courses for the 2020/2021 academic year which were carried out using purposive sampling technique. In this study, the instrument used was a test to measure the ability in solving integral calculus problems in the form of essay questions, unstructured interview guidelines, documentation and observation. Data were analyzed in three stages, namely reduction, presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results in this study were students with high problem solving abilities had met the indicators of metacognitive skills, namely the planning, monitoring and evaluation stages. Students with moderate problem-solving abilities have only reached indicators of metacognitive skills, namely the planning and monitoring stages, but have not reached the evaluation stage, while students with low problem-solving abilities have not measured metacognitive skills indicators both at the planning, monitoring and evaluation stages. So that students with high problem solving abilities are more likely to have good metacognitive skills, because students with high problem solving abilities are well organized from planning, monitoring to the evaluation stage.

Abstract

Algebra is a branch of mathematics that uses mathematical statements to describe the relationship between various things. This study aims to describe the algebra problem solving abilities of students in the Linear Program course. There are differences in student problem solving, which are caused by students' cognitive styles. Reflective and impulsive cognitive styles based on the SOLO taxonomy. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta. The research subjects consisted of 4 students, 2 students having a reflective cognitive style and 2 students having an impulsive style. Purposive sampling technique was used in taking the subjects.Data collection techniques used cognitive style test questions Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT), algebra problem solving test questions and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques used two techniques, namely written tests and interviews. Technical analysis of data by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. From the data processing, the results of the research were 2 students whose have flexible cognitive style also have good algebra problem solving abilities and based on SOLO taxonomy reached the Extended abstract level. Meanwhile, students who have an impulsive cognitive style in solving algebra problems based more on the SOLO taxonomy have Multistructural and Unistructural levels. So each cognitive style of students gives the different results in solving problems.
