Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to find the effect of budget deficit with foreign loans as source of funding on inflation and economic growth. This study focuses on transmission mechanism of budget deficit funding effects on inflation and economic growth. We use a specific simultaneous macroeconomic model which includes 17 behavioral equations and 18 identity equations with 6 blocks in this study, Two Stage Least Square (TSLS) method is employed to estimate the behavioral equations in the model. This study use Indonesia secondary economic data from 1970 to 2003. Econometric tests are performed to produce BLUE estimator. This study also use stochastic simulation with 10000 replications to simulate policy.The results show that using foreign loan to fund budget deficit increases both economic growth and inflation. This result is also supported by the simulation results which show that increase in the proceeds of new foreign loan increases reserves which in turn increase primary money/money supply/monetary base. Interaction of monetary base with money multiplier then increases price level. increase in capital in flow from increase in foreign loan increases government spending which also increases government spending increases in the government spending then add to government capital stock so that economic growth also increases.

Abstract

This study purpose to design an environmentally friendly forging machine in the group of "DL" and "PRT" pande besi who are partners in the Village of Palbapang, PandakDistrict, Bantul Regency. So far, the two partners have made agricultural equipment manually by treating raw materials or heated iron forged repeatedly using a hammer according to the desired form of agricultural equipment. For this process, 3 workers are needed, even though the current condition of the two groups of pande besi is the difficulty of finding workers, so that market demand related to agricultural equipment cannot be fulfilled.The research method is carried out after all data and information have been collected by designing an environmentally friendly forging machine with the help of showhare autocad, then looking for materials and tools that will be used to make the design of the forging machine, and making environmentally friendly forging machinesaccording to the specifications obtained . Before being submitted to partners, testing of the number of punches per minute, as well as the noise level. The results that have been achieved in this study are the creation of an environmentally friendly forging machine design with the capacity to forge machetes roughly 5 pieces / hour, as well as a one-time blow to the depressed workpiece depth of 2 to 3 mm with the number of blows produced 200 to 250 punch a minute, with the noisecaused to the forging machine at 60 dBA. From these results there was a 45% reduction in the noise figure from the previous one using a 110.17dBA manual tool to 60 dBA.The capacity of agricultural equipment production in the two partners of the iron court group increased to 2 to 3 times when compared to using human labor, and in the end could improve the welfare of the partner iron-iron group and the iron-iron society in general.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine and isolate antibakterial protein from three species of earthworms has antibacterial potencies. The research was conducted in several stages, namely: extraction earthworm by using three kinds of solvents; antibacterial activity test of earthworm extract by agar diffusion method; purification of antibacterial protein by using DEAE chromatography, filtration column chromatography, and Native-PAGE. The results showed that three species of earthworms contained antibacterial protein. The activity of antibacterial protein extract of Pheretima javanica in MOPS buffer was highestand the inhibition zone diameter were10.0-14.0 mm. Compared to the other solven, the of MOPS buffer most precise for the solvent of protein. The extract of Pheretima javanica with MOPS solvent was fractionated by using DEAE chromatography (anion exchanger) and produced three peaks of protein group. Among the peaks, last peak that need 0.380 M NaCl to eluate performed antibacterial activity. Further fractionation of the protein by using gel filtration chromatography produced two peaks and one of the peak has antibacterial activity. Further purification that carried out by cutting the active fraction of second protein peak by using Native-PAGE produced seven bands. A single protein of the sixth band from lowest band showed antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Abstract : Learning motivation influences to the student achievement. Quantum teaching focuses on the dynamic relationships within the classroom environment, interactions establishing the foundation and framework for the study. Flashcards is a pictorial medium that allows students to learn biology. The purpose of this study was to determine the students motivation and students achievement in learning biology using quantum teaching learning models with flashcards. Media research is a classroom action research (CAR), held in SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo-Banyuwangi. The samples in this study were the students of X5 of second semester in the 2011/2012 academic year . Measurement is done by increasing student motivation questionnaire ARCS, while for the students achievement considered from the three domains, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor with reference standard minimum passing grade 75. For the assessment of affective and psychomotor used assessment instruments was made by researcher. The results showed that the improvment in the motivation aspect of attention is 1.19, relevance aspect is 0.33, confidence aspect is 0.64, and aspects of satisfaction is 0.95. For learning outcome itself has increased an average is 1.8% in each realm. Key Words : quantum teaching, flashcard, motivation, Student achievement.

Abstract

Abstract.Improvement in the learning process needs to be established and developed to create interactive learning between teachers and students. In this case, students are required to take an active role in the learning process. But in fact, learning in SMP 14 Jember is still the conventional, where the delivery system is more dominated by teachers, while students tend to be silent and passively receive course materials. This may result in low motivation and student learning outcomes, but it is also of interest to read too low so students do not understand the concept of the material presented. Therefore, we need a model of learning appropriate. One model of learning that can be used is the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) aided student worksheets. The application of this learning model aims to determine whether or not to increase motivation and learning outcomes of students of SMP Negeri 14 Jember. The subject of this action research is the eighth grade students class D of SMP Negeri 14 Jember first semester of academic year 20012/2013. Based on analysis showed an increase students in motivation in attention of 4,19 (13,09%), aspects of relevance increased by 5,56 (17,36%), aspect confidence increased by 3,16 (9,87%), and aspects of satisfaction increased by 4,52 (14,13%) than that obtained increasing mastery of learning outcomes in the classical i.e cognitive increased by 24.2% and psychomotor domains increased by 13.4%. Abstract

Abstract.Education is a process of interaction that encourages learning. An appropriate media method is needed to achieve the objectives based of the material. The inappropiate method will influence the students’ achievement.It will influence the studentsmotivation and make the student lazy to study. The teaching learning process of SMPN 14 Jember was centered to the teacher, meanwhile the students were not active and feel bored in the teaching learning process. From those reasons, an appropriate method is needed. One of the appropriate method that used was Teams Games Tournament (TGT) by crossword puzzle’s game. This research was intended to know the effect of using TGT by crossword puzzle’s game concerning to the students’ motivation and their achievement at SMPN 14 Jember  in the 2012/2013 academic year. Based on the result of research was conducted, the use of TGT method had significant by effect concerning to the students’ motivation and their achievement of class VII of SMPN 14 Jember. The students’ motivation was increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. The aspects of attitude increased by 2,11 (7,07%), the aspects of relevence increased by 3,29 (10,96%), the aspects of cobfidence was 4,95 (16,49%), and the aspects of statisfaction increased by 2,69 (8,29%). While the average of the students’ result in the affective domain was 23,7%, while the cognitive domain was 15,8. Key Words :TGT, crossword puzzles, motivation, learning outcomes.

Abstract:Cooperative learning model of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) was a model developed byHuinkerandLaughlin. This model basedon the understandingthat learningwasasocialbehavior. Inthislearning model,students were encouragedtothink, speak, andthenwrite downrelated toa topic. Colaborated with TalkingSticktechniques can makestudentsmoreconduciveandenjoyable. The purposeofthis researchwastoincrease student’scharacter, achievement, and completeness ofstudent achievement using the Cooperative Learning model of Think, Talk, Write (TTW) with Talking Stick on sub biology topicsEnvironmental in class VII E SMP Negeri 2 Kalisat Jember. The research was Classroom Action Research. Result of this research, there was step-up character from pre cycle until cycle 2 that was inquiring sense character worked up to BT (Not Appeared) with percentage 67.10%. Then discipline character increased on MB (Start Growing) with percentage 51,31%. Then responsibility character increased on MK (Start Consistent) with percentage 47,36%. The increase of average achievement was 77,1 and classical thoroughness in cognitive aspect was increased become 78,94%.It concluded thatcooperative learning model ofThink, Talk, Write (TTW) with theTalking Stick can increased students character, achievement, and completeness of students achievement in class VII E SMP Negeri 2 Kalisat Jember. Abstract

Abstract.Learning using the game method with kwartet cards used as an alternative learning of biology.  Game method is one of method of learning that can improve student’s learning activity and learning achievement. The purpose of this research is to test the influence of game method with kwartet card on student’s learning activity and learning achievement in Biology subject. This research use two classes, control class using conventional methods and experiment class using game method with kwartet cards . Activity of students in tests use independent sample T-test. Based on the analysis results obtained p = 0.000, in other words there is a difference in the student activity using game method with kwartet cards and it can be concluded that the method of the game with the media card quartets significant effect on student learning outcomes. Learning achievement is analized with ANACOVA test. Based on the analysis, accupied p=0,000 that can be conclude that game method with kwartet card significanly influence the learning activity and the learning achievement. Abstract

Abstract.Discussion learning method based lesson study is a collaborative process from a group of teacher to identifythe learning problems, devise a learning scenario, apply according to the scenario, and revised learning observe, evaluate scenario that performed before and after the learning process to make improvements in future learning. The purposes of this research are to test the effect of discussion learning method based lesson study on learning achievement and students activities. Learning method in control class use the conventional learning and in experiment class use discussion learning method based lesson study by using portfolio assessment. Cognitive learning achievement is analyzed with ANACOVA. Based on the analysis can be conclude that  discussion learning method based lesson study significantly affect on cognitive learning achievement (p=0.001).  Student activity is analyzed use Independent Sample T-test obtained p = 0.000. In other word,there are significantly differencesbetween students activities use discussion learning method based lesson study and conventional method.Student activity is also measured by Pa formula obtained: ask 76,25%; argued 83,12%; communicate with group 69,06%; and work together in group 78,28%. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to improve students’ activities and students’ learning outcomes with implementation ARIAS model. ARIAS model containing five components that is a whole required in learning activities namely assurance, relevance, interest, assessment, and satisfaction. This model applied to student of the XI grade IPA 4 at MAN 1 Jember consisting of 35 students. This research is Classroom Action Research. Data collection used observation, interviews, test, and documentation. The result showed that students’ activities  from pre-prosperous cycle to second cycle increased by 16,86% and the students’ learning outcomes from cognitive aspects increased by 7,32%, affective aspect 8,34%, and psychomotor aspect 6,25%. Based on this research, ARIAS model can be used by teachers as a basis discharge learning activities so were able to increase the activities and students’ learning outcomes.
