Abstract

We study a ℤ6-II orbifold model which is derived from the ten-dimensional SO(16) × SO(16) heterotic string theory whose the extra six dimensional space is devided by the ℤ6-II rotations. All independent embeddings are classified using both shifting and rotation procedures of an SO(16) × SO(16) root lattice. SO(10) × SU(3) × U(1) × SO(16) models are elucidated as examples among the models.

Abstract

Mathematical and physical sciences are very interconnected in many problems of research. Usually the mathematical science is a tool in physics research. However, certain case of two space and one time dimensions of topology field theory, such as Jones and HOMFLY polynomials, can be computed by using quantum field theory method. In this paper, first, we investigate polynomial invariants of SO(3) group case by using braiding group concept. By using group concept, this polynomial has an exact solution. Next, its solution will be compared by using calculation of vacuum expectation value (VEV) of unknotted Wilson loop operators in 2+1 Chern-Simons-Witten (CSW) theory with the same group. The above VEV is computed by quantum field theory method  that has convergent series solution form as function of coupling constant order. The computation result, up to third order shows that the VEV of SO(3) group is identical to the polynomial invariants in the same group. Kata Kunci : Polynomial invariants, CSW, Wilson loop operators, SO(3).   Hubungan Antara Teori Medan Topologi dan Teori Medan Quantum Theory Abstrak Hubungan antara ilmu matematika dan fisika sangat terjalin erat dalam beberapa masalah penelitian. Posisi dari ilmu matematika biasanya sebagai alat dalam penelitian fisika. Tetapi pada kasus-kasus tertentu dari teori medan topologi seperti polinomial-polinomial Jones dan HOMFLY dalam dua dimensi ruang dan satu dimensi waktu, ternyata dapat dihitung dengan menggunakan metode teori medan kuantum. Pada makalah ini, pertama akan diselidiki polinomial invarian pada kasus grup SO(3) dengan menggunakan konsep grup braiding. Dengan menggunakan konsep grup murni, solusi dari polinomial ini adalah eksak. Selanjutnya solusi tersebut akan dibandingkan dengan perhitungan nilai harap vakum (VEV) dari operator unknotted loop Wilson dalam teori Chern-Simons-Witten (CSW) 2+1 dimensi pada grup yang sama. Perhitungan VEV tersebut menggunakan metode teori medan kuantum dengan solusi deret yang konvergen sebagai fungsi dari kopling orde konstan. Hasil perhitungan sampai orde ketiga memperlihatkan bahwa VEV dari grup SO(3) adalah identik dengan polinomial invarian pada grup yang sama. Kata kunci : Polinomial invarian, CSW, Operator loop Wilson, SO(3).

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini akan diungkapkan tentang lucutan korona negatif pada kondisi atmosfer dan bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap sifat resapan air di kain poliester grey. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membandingkan pembangkitan lucutan pijar korona negatif dengan dua jenis elektroda yang berbeda geometri dan mengamati sifat serapan air pada kain poliester grey yang telah diiradiasi dengan lucutan ini. Pembangkitan lucutan korona negatif pada kondisi atmosfer ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua jenis geometri elektroda, yaitu elektroda titik-bidang dan elektroda garis-bidang. Elektroda titik maupun garis diperlakukan sebagai katoda dan elektroda bidang diperlakukan sebagai elektroda anoda. Pengukuran beda potensial dan arus menggunakan multimeter digital. Iradiasi kain dilakukan dengan menempatkan kain katun maupun poliester pada elektroda bidang. Uji tetes dilakukan untuk mendapatkan karakter serapan air terhadap kain yang telah diiradiasi. Lucutan yang dibangkitkan pada kondisi atmosfer akan meningkat arusnya ketika diberi penambahan tegangan. Karakteristik lucutan saat kain berada anoda sedikit berbeda bila dibandingkan tanpa adanya kain, namun pola lucutan masih relatif sama. Pada uji tetes menunjukkan bahwa lucutan korona negatif pada kain poliester maupun katun berpengaruh pada penurunan waktu serap. Selain itu, durasi iradiasi terhadap kain sangat berpengaruh terhadap penurunan waktu serap air di kain katun maupun poliester. Penurunan mencolok terlihat pada kain poliester grey dimana sebelumnya 16 detik menjadi kurang dari 2 detik.

Abstract

The application of plasma generator has been developed for everyday live because it can generate high electric field and induced current, even by only 12 volt of potential difference. The advantages of the plasma generator are mainly caused by configuration form of its electrodes which is usually very sharp and asymmetric form. In this paper, plasma generator has been discussed using electrodes configuration of the thin rod and needle in two dimensional planes. The result shows that the plasma generator can produce various high electric fields, which highest field at the tip of needle electrode. In case of configuration of needle electrode, it will be produced saturated current due to their asymmetric electrodes, while in case of thin rod electrode; it will be no saturated current due to symmetric electrode. Abstract

In this paper, we calculate enormous electric field produced by the plane-knife configuration of the plasma generator. The value of electric field is calculated by two ways of configurations, the first is the almost perpendicular form of the Capasitor plates and second the perpendicular one. The result of calculation is the plates perpendicular form will produce higher electric fields than the almost perpendicular case. Abstract

It has been studied efectivity of the electric field and density of current that have been determined by the physical criteria from a long size of cylinder and a radius of thin ring from the corona plasma generator with the plane ring electrode. The result of the calculation is indicate that the strong electrics field will be resulted by the configurations of the thin ring form, contiguity apart between the thin rings (minimum cylinder length) and the size of the thin ring radius which near of the size of external cylinder radius. The radial symmetrical of geometric form of the thin ring is causing it has not current density form at tip of the thin ring.   Key words : Plasma,  plane-ring, electric field, density of current.

Abstract

DBD still become one of the major problems of public health in Indonesia because the death rate tended sufferers to increase from year to year. Incredible happening (KLB) of DBD which was initially occurring every five years, now it’s getting often happens. In the city of Semarang, during 2009 occurring 165 times KLB in urban village, 35 times KLB in the level of community health centers and 15 times KLB at the district level. Though the number of DBD cases in 2009 from 2008 was declining, but in this year also noted that the number of deaths resulting from DBD increased to 43 people from 18 people in 2008. This research aims to analyze the characteristics of the neighborhood (whose data is always updated by BPS via PODES) that affect the number of cases of DBD (whose data is always updated by DKK) in Semarang city, by creating the best regression models using stepwise technique. Regression model analysis of results obtained best is Y = 23.029 + 0.004 X1 – 0.074 X2 + 0.070X3, where Y is IR/10000 PDDK, that is the number of residents affected by DBD for each 10000 inhabitants, X1 is the number of residents aged 15-24 years, X2 is total area of land of rice fields and X3 is area of land for buildings and grounds around the page. Abstract

This paper presents analytical method for the calculations of the electric field and current density in needle-ring configurations of the corona discharge plasma. The needle is considered hyperboloidal. The result of the calculation indicates that the strong electric field generated by the sharp needle due to the unsymmetrical of geometric form of it. Similarly, the current density at the tip of the sharp needle is higher than at the ring. The value of the electric field and current density depends on geometric form, especially radius of the hyperbola, radius of the ring, and the distance between the electrodes. Radius of the hyperbola must be smaller than radius of the ring.   Keywords : electric field, current density, needle-ring configurations, geometric form

Abstract

A computational calculation to determine production capacity of 90Y from the results of nuclearreactions 89Rb(p,n)89Sr/90Y from several medical cyclotrons has been carried out. Calculations were used to obtain the target thickness of 89Rb and maximum activity of 90Y on variable energy, time and irradiation currents. Calculations were also carried out to measure the impurity radionuclide activity during the reaction. The results activities of 90Y were obtained through modeling using the SRIM-2013 software and the TENDL-2017 application and calculated using MATLAB software. The results modeling and of calculations can predict the activity of 90Y and it can be used as an initial reference in the radionuclide production process using a cyclotron. The maximum activity of 90Y of 5409.80 mCi with a 10.54 mm-target thickness of 89Rb is generated from a cyclotron which has a 30 MeV proton beam with a 50 μA radiation current beam and 2 hours irradiation time. Using the same proton, current and irradiation time at irradiation energy of 8 MeV, 15 MeV and 22 MeV, the produced activity of 90Y was smaller, there are 552.28 mCi, 2100.39 mCi and 3644.31 mCi. The radioisotope of 90Y can be used in patients with a normal dose of 0.4 mCi / kg body weight, therefore in one production can supply the needs of 104 patients.Keywords: medical cyclotron, calculation and modeling, 90Y activity

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh beberapa variasi yang dipakai terhadap kurva karakteristik serta persebaran angin ion pada fenomena elektrohidrodinamik. Elektroda aktif yang digunakan berukuran 2x4 cm, 3x6 cm, serta 4x8 cm. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan variasi sudut ketajaman bentuk elektroda aktif () , , dan  dan variasi jarak antar elektroda () , ,  , dan . Hasil penelitian pada kurva I-V menunjukkan bahwa kuat arus bertambah sejalan dengan bertambahnya tegangan, serta pada analisis elektrohidrodinamik menyatakan bahwa pengaruh diameter lubang gumpalan minyak akan berubah jika variasi yang digunakan juga berubah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan elektroda aktif dengan bentuk, ukuran, sudut ketajaman serta jarak antar elektroda yang sama besar.
