Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor pengambilan ujian TOEFL dan menemukan penyebab permasalahan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran TOEFL yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa STMIK Royal di Kisaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui keterampilan yang paling banyak dijawab salah dalam TOEFL oleh International Language Training Center (ILTC) (2) untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana mempersiapkan siswa untuk TOEFL; (3) untuk menganalisis alasan mahasiswa terhadap masalah mereka dalam TOEFL oleh International Language Training Center atau ILTC. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Data diambil dari dokumen rekam dan wawancara. Penelitian ini ditujukan kepada mahasiswa STMIK Royal khususnya untuk semester 7 (strata 1) dan semester 5 untuk diploma. Disini, penulis focus pakas kelas SI 7 E. TOEFL ini dilaksanakan secara online dan kegiatan ini dapat didukung kepada mereka karena mereka mengambil jurusan teknologi informasi dan manajemen komputer dan selalu menggunakan komputer di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan komputer bagi siswa sangatlah efektif. Hasil wawancara ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa kendala yang muncul selama mengikuti tes TOEFL dan dilihat dari frekuensi keikutsertaan TOEFL dan skor yang mereka peroleh. Wawancara digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan siswa dan persiapan menghadapi TOEFL. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa poin sebagai berikut: (1) bidang jawaban yang paling salah seperti bagian Mendengarkan dan Ekspresi Tertulis; masalah kesepakatan subjek-verba, tenses, kata benda, dan mereka tidak menangkap apa yang dikatakan pembicara. (2) masalah kekurangan persiapan dan ketidakmampuan memahami beberapa bidang tata bahasa sering ditemukan, (3) alasan di balik kesulitan siswa dalam TOEFL adalah sikap meremehkan ujian dan penguasaan bahasa Inggris mereka yang buruk.

Abstract

Eldira Fauna Asahan is a company engaged in the sale and fattening of sheep, where the process of making sheep feed raw materials is produced by the company itself, which every day requires a lot of raw materials to be produced by the company. The problems that occur in the company today are related to raw materials, where when ordering raw materials there is often a shortage of raw materials or even excess. Currently the raw material ordering system is still based on experience, this causes difficulties in determining the amount of raw materials that must be ordered/provided so that the order sometimes does not match the needs. Therefore, companies currently need an information system that can assist companies in determining the most economical number of orders in one message by applying the ecomoic order quantity (EOQ) method to the system. Then designed information system control and inventory of raw materials for sheep feed at PT. Eldira Fauna Asahan which is useful for determining the number of orders in one message and ordering again as needed. This system is designed using the PHP programming language, stored in the MYSQL database and the visual modeling method uses UML. The result of this research is that this application can later assist companies in determining the amount of raw material needs, and can assist workers in processing data. In conclusion, this application is useful for companies in making it easier for admins to get fast information in determining ordering raw materials.

Abstract

Many efforts have been made to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus in various fields of activity including worship activities where the five daily prayers are the obligations of Muslims. When you want to pray, prayer rugs are one of the media to perform prayers so that prayers are more solemn. The prayer rug itself is one of the places where the Covid-19 virus spreads and mosque administrators only carry out prayer rug cleaning activities using a broom and washing prayer rugs. The right solution to minimize the virus that is in mosque prayer rugs is to apply the sterilization of prayer rugs on a scheduled basis. The purpose of this research is to find out how the sterilization robot works in mosque prayer mats, can design a remote control via Arduino using the HC-05 sensor, and the prayer mat sterilization robot is effective and efficient to implement. The results of this study are a robot that can be controlled via an android application that is connected via HC-05 where mosque administrators only need to control via a smartphone at one point. The method used in this study is a descriptive method where prior to conducting the research an interview was conducted regarding the circumstances to be studied, namely the cleanliness of the mosque in the use of prayer mats. It is hoped that this research can ease the work of mosque administrators and minimize time in sterilization activities and can minimize viruses that are in mosque prayer mats.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this Community Service is to provide IT-based English language learning media training using Microsoft PowerPoint and make simple videos. This dedication was given to Early Childhood Education Teachers in the Buntu Pane District. The dedication session consisted of distributing material to participants, stages of making Microsoft PowerPoint, and making simple videos. The model used is the training model, delivering material, question and answer session, and direct practice. In general, participants claimed that the training schedule was appropriate, time was shared (delivering material, demonstrations, questions and answers, and direct practice). The participants of the activity were satisfied with the topic presented and felt that most of the expectations and objectives of the service had been fulfilled. The evaluation results showed that the material presented could be well followed. Keywords: english language; microsoft powerpoint; early childhood education teachers  Abstrak: Tujuan dari Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan media pembelajaran bahasa inggris berbasis IT menggunakan Mcrosoft PowerPoint dan membuat video sederhana. Pengabdian ini diberikan kepada Guru Guru PAUD ( Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini ) Se-Kecamatan Buntu Pane. Sesi Pengabdian terdiri dari membagikan materi kepada peserta, tahapan-tahapan membuat Microsoft PowerPoint, dan membuat video sederhana. Model yang digunakan adalah model pelatihan, menyampaikan materi, sesi tanya jawab, dan praktek langsung. Secara umum, peserta mengklaim bahwa jadwal pelatihan sudah tepat, pembagian waktu ( menyampaikan materi, demonstrasi, tanya jawab, dan praktek langsung). Peserta kegiatan puas dengan topik yang disajikan dan merasa bahwa sebagian besar harapan dan tujuan pengabdian sudah terpenuhi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa materi yang disampaikan dapat diikuti dengan baik. Kata kunci: bahasa inggris; microsoft powerpoint;  guru pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD)
