Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was performed to observe the effect of linamarin on reproductive performance, that consist of the number of live fetuses, reabsorption embryo or fetal, fetal death and fetal body weight together with length. Pregnant mice were divided into one control group with administration of distilled water (0 mg/kgb.w/days) and six treatment groups linamarin dose is 0.36; 0.72; 1.26 mg; 2; 4; and 8 mg/kgb.w./days. Linamarin dosing and control begins at 5th to 16th gestation days, at 17-days of gestation caesarean section were performed to pregnant mice to remove foetuses. Statistical analysis used was a variation analysis by ANOVA followed by comparisons between treatments HSD test (Tukey). Giving linamarin observed in the parent mice led to a decrease in average weight gain of the mother during pregnancy compared with controls. In linamarin dose 8 mg/kgb.w/day an increase in embryo reabsorption and fetal death, as well as the observed decrease in fetal body weight and length, but after statistical analysis of the decrease was not significantly different. Linamarin with the doses given in this study is not expected to interfere with pregnancy based on reproductive performance were observed. Keywords: Linamarin, reproductive performance, fetal weight, fetal body length ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengamati pengaruh linamarin pada penampilan reproduksi yang meliputi jumlah fetus hidup, embrio resorpsi, fetus mati dan berat beserta panjang badan fetus. Induk mencit yang bunting dikelompokkan ke dalam satu kelompok kontrol dengan pemberian akuades (0 mg/kgb.b./hari) dan enam kelompok perlakuan dosis linamarin yaitu 0,36; 0,72; 1,26 mg; 2; 4; dan 8 mg/kgb.b./hari. Pemberian dosis linamarin dan kontrol dimulai pada umur kebuntingan 5 sampai 16 hari, setelah itu pada umur kebuntingan 17 hari mencit dikorbankan nyawanya untuk pengambilan fetus. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis variasi dengan ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji perbandingan antar perlakuan HSD (Tukey). Pemberian linamarin pada induk mencit diamati menyebabkan penurunan rata-rata pertambahan berat badan induk selama kebuntingan dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Pada dosis linamarin 8 mg/kgb.b./hari terjadi peningkatan embrio resorpsi dan fetus yang mati, serta diamati penurunan berat dan panjang badan fetus, namun setelah dilakukan analisis statistik penurunan tersebut tidak berbeda nyata. Linamarin dengan dosis yang diberikan pada penelitian ini diduga tidak mengganggu kebuntingan berdasarkan penampilan reproduksi yang diamati. Kata kunci: Linamarin, penampilan reproduksi, berat badan fetus, panjang badan fetus

Abstract

Abstract: Goblet cells and the mucus they produce serve as an important barrier to prevent pathogens invading the mucosal tissue that can cause inflammation. In the inflamed tissue, will have changed in the structure and number of goblet cells. Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE) staining is a standard stain used to examine the histological structure of tissues while Periodic Acid-Schiff (PAS) is a histological stain other than HE that can stain carbohydrates and carbohydrate-rich macromolecules. The purpose of this study was to observe differences in the structure and number of goblet cells in the inflammatory colon using HE and PAS staining. This study used 27 samples of paraffin block of rat colon tissue which were divided into three groups, namely the normal group, acute intestinal inflammation, and chronic intestinal inflammation. The tissue samples were then stained with HE and PAS staining techniques. In this study, statistical analysis of an independent t-test and Mann-Whitney test was used to observe differences in the number of goblet cells in inflammatory colon tissue using HE and PAS staining in each group. This study concludes that the number of goblet cells that can be observed in inflammatory colon tissue using HE and PAS staining is significantly different with a p-value <0.05 where the average number of goblet cells using PAS staining is higher than using HE.Keywords: goblet cells, inflammatory colon, Hematoxylin-Eosin, Periodic Acid-Schiff.

Abstract

Abstract: China country. It spreads very quickly, namely through physical contact through the nose, mouth, and eyes, and develops in the lungs (C-Reactive Protein). CRP is an acute phase protein synthesized in the liver for non-specific monitoring of local and systemic disease. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate is the rate at which erythrocytes settle in a vertical tube. Research has been carried out to determine the title of the relationship between C-Reactive Protein Levels and Blood Sedimentation Rates in Covid-19 Confirmed Patients. Samples in this study were 60 samples. Then it was found that there were 45 men with a percentage (58.3 %) and a female sex with a percentage of 25 people (41.7 %), and the average c-reactive protein level 477.63 mg/dl and the sedimentation rate was 3.258,33 mm /hour. Then the results of statistical tests obtained results of 0.001 < 0.05. the conclusion is that there is a relationship between levels of c-reactive protein and levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate in patients suspected of covid-19 with sufficient correlation criteria.Keywords: Corona virus, CRP levels, LED

Abstract

Air merupakan komponen penting bagi tubuh. Menurut Permenkes No.492 Tahun 2010 tentang syarat mikrobiologi air minum adalah tidak ditemukannya bakteri Coliform dan Escherichia coli dalam 100 ml air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui berapa angka Escherichia coli pada air minum isi ulang sebelum dan sesudah disimpan 0 hari, 3 hari dan 6 hari dan mengetahui spesifisitas angka Escherichia coli uji metode CFU berdasarkan uji Indol. Penelitian bersifat survey eksperimen dengan menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis dengan melakukan observasi dan pemeriksaan bakteriologi sampel air di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Balai Laboratorium Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Sampel adalah air minum dari masing-masing depot air minum isi ulang di Kelurahan Lubuk Buaya yang dimasukkan ke dalam botol steril. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode filtrasi dengan menggunakan filter steril 0,45 µm. Hasil pemeriksaan laboratorium menunjukkan tiga dari enam sampel mengandung Escherichia coli, sedangkan hasil sensitivitas adalah 100% CFU/ml dan spesifisitas adalah 0% CFU/ml berdasarkan uji Kruskal Wallis yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil p adalah 0,429 ini berarti nilai p>0,05 jadi tidak ada perbedaan angka Escherichia coli yang disimpan 0 hari, 3 hari dan 6 hari. Pengawasan terhadap depot air minum isi ulang di Kelurahan Lubuk Buaya harus lebih ditingkatkan. Petugas kesehatan setempat diharapkan dapat memberikan penyuluhan kepada pemilik atau operator depot agar memperhatikan kebersihan depot serta peralatan yang digunakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of leaf decoction of antihypertensive herbs commonly used in Indonesia to lower blood pressure. This study used female rats induced hypertension as animal models. In this experimental study, rats were divided into seven experimental groups consisting of four rats for each group. Rats have induced hypertension with a dose of 2.5 mg/kg BW of prednisone and 2.5% NaCl. Hypertension induction for rats was carried out for 14 days, treatment with herbs of leaf decoction (soursop, starfruit, celery, and salam) with a dose of 200 mg/kg BW for 14 days. Rat's blood pressure was measured by the tail-cuff method at 0 days, 14 days, and 28 days. Statistical analysis used was an analysis of variance with ANOVA followed by a comparison between treatments with Dunnet's test. This study showed that all the herbal plants given were able to reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in female rats induced by hypertension, especially boiled celery leaves and star fruit leaves with p-value < 0.05.
