Abstract

The number of cases of termination of employment during the Covid-19 pandemic has various psychological impacts on victims. This study aims to understand the experiences of victims of termination of employment during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially regarding the psychological impact felt by victims of termination of employment. The researcher used an analytical method with a Descriptive Phenomenological Analysis (DPA) approach. The DPA approach was chosen because it fits the research objectives and has a detailed and structured data analysis procedure. Data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews to participants who experienced layoffs in the Karawang areas. The participants in this study were three people, sampling using purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, the themes that emerge include: (1) emotional shocks (2) stressors that increase the burden of layoffs (3) resilience (4) religious values (5) gratitude (6) social support.Keywords: Emotional shock, stressor, resilience, gratitude, social support. Banyaknya kasus pemutusan hubungan kerja di masa pandemi Covid-19memberikan berbagai dampak psikologis pada diri korban. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengalaman korban pemutusan hubungan kerja di masa pandemi Covid-19,terutama terkait dampak psikologis yang dirasakan oleh korban pemutusan hubungan kerja. Peneliti menggunakan metode analisis dengan pendekatan Descriptive Phenomenological Analysis (DPA). Pendekatan DPA dipilih karena sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian serta memiliki prosedur analisis data yang terperinci dan terstruktur. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur kepada partisipan yang mengalami pemutusan hubungan kerja di daerah Karawang. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang, pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan tema-tema yang muncul antara lain: (1) guncangan emosional (2) Stresor penambah beban PHK (3) Resiliensi (4) Nilai-nilai agama (5) gratitude (6) dukungan sosial.
