(0271) 591065.Â AbstrakProgram Studi yang dikelola secara professional akan menghasilkan lulusan yang handal dan dapat berperan di masyarakat secara luas. Untuk menjawab tantangan global tersebut, Program Studi harus bisa membuktikan melalui manajemen, tata kelola dan kesehatan organisasi. Tata kelola yang lebih spesifik diterjemahkan ke dalam bentuk pengelolaan program-program studi. Kesehatan organisasi Program Studi akan ditentukan oleh aspek kesehatan bidang akademik dan keuangan. Jika kedua aspek ini tercapai, maka akan berdampak aspek sumber daya manusianya. Sistim tata kelola Program Studi yang sehat akan menganut kebebasan otonomi. Kebebasan otonomi itu sangat terkait dengan otonomi akademik, finansial dan manajemen.Â Ketiga unsur tersebut menjadi tiga serangkai mutiara dalam membuat sebuah Program Studi akan bisa memenuhi harapan masyarakat. Manajemen yang lebih krusial dalam pengelolaan Program Studi terletak pada akademik yang bersifat lentur, akuntabilitas dan terukur. Salah satu dari aspekÂ akademik yang sangat penting terletak pada program studi yang ada. Program studi tersebut sebagai cerminan yang membentuk jati diri calon sarjana dan cendikiawan ke depan. Di program studi inilah nantinya menjadi barometer bagi kualitas lulusannya.Â Â Kata Kunci : Program Studi, Keuangan, Akademik, Manajemen

This research aims at finding the types of swearing expressions and linguistic forms of English swearing used in Richard Wrightâs Black Boy. This is a descriptive qualitative research since it describes the phenomena of swearing used in the novel. The data of the research are all the conversations or sentences used swearing in the novel written by Richard Wright namely Black Boy as the main data source. The method of collecting data in this research is observation and teknik lanjut catat. After all the data had been collected then they are coded using the coding system such as data number/title of novel/chapter/page/data. There is no data reduction since all the data are analyzed in this research. This research used theory triangulation. Kind of swearing expressions found in this novel dealing with God and religion terms, name ofÂ animals and plants, part of body, racial terms, stupidity terms, name of occupation, sexual terms, family terms. The linguistic forms of English swearing used in this novel are word, phrase, and clause. The swearing in the form of words consists of (1) noun referring to place, person, occupation, animal, and idea (2) verb and (3) adjective. Phrase consists of (1) noun phrase with swearing functioning as headword, modifier, and both headword and modifier, (2) adjective phrase with swearing functioning as modifier. Swearing expression is also found in the form of sentence.Â Â Â

How does the candidate have to campaign her/his self to be recognized by its citizens? Not all regions have mass media publication, such as newspaper and television. They only have RSPD and private radio station. Therefore, Itâ€™s necessarily to carry on the election for the candidate directly in order to be recognized by its citizens. Itâ€™s very difficult for the candidate to be recognized by its citizens without campaigning to get maximum result without knowing the voter character. In the marketing field, the product, which has capability to compete and to win the competition, is they, which have capability to fulfill the need, market want, and market expectation. The research uses survey method. The Women political participation is the housewife involvement in voting, while the voter behavior could be observed based on the candidate campaign activity. The data test has been used in this research is Spearmans correlation with the trust level 5%. The Research samples are the housewife in Sukoharjo Regency and living in Sukoharjo district, Bendosari and Polokarto. The sampling technique has been used in this research is multi stage cluster sampling. In this research, campaign is directly the important media for influencing people. Farther, it is necessarily for the candidate to be recognized by citizen their real figure. By the existing support given to district, the society would be tend to behave responsively on the candidate.

Penelitian ini mengkaji terjemahan istilah kedokteran. Tujuannya adalah untuk menyusun taksonomi dan untuk mengidentifikasikan serta mendeskripsikan teknik-teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan dalam menerjemahkan istilah-istilah kedokteran dalam kaitannya dengan kualitas terjemahannya. Data penelitian ini berupa istilah kedokteran yang bersumber pada buku kedokteran berbahasa Inggris dan terjemahannya dalam bahasa Indonesia. Untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian ini digunakan metode analisis dokumen dan kuesioner yang disertai dengan instrumen penilaian kualitas terjemahan. Data penelitian tersebut dianalisis dengan menerapkan teknik analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pola pengalihan istilah kedokteran dalam bentuk taksonomi. Di samping itu, secara umum diterapkan tujuh teknik penerjemahan dalam menerjemahkan istilah-istilah kedokteran, yang berdampak positif pada tingkat keakuratan, keberterimaan dan keterbacaan terjemahan.

This research aims at identifying translation techniques applied in translating theexpressions in 2019 Solo Calendar of Event and describing impact of translation techniques on the accuracy of translation of 2019 Solo Calendar of Event from Indonesian to English. It used qualitative research method. Data of the research were collected through content analysis and focus group discussion. They were then qualitatively analyzed. The research findings show that the translator employs nine translation techniques. Most of which are oriented to target language. The most dominant technique is established equivalent while the least dominant one is addition translation technique. In term of accuracy, the translation is categorized as high as indicated by the percentage of the accuracy which reaches 83.64%.

The aim of the study are to find Gender discrimination in Novel and acceptability quality of translation from Novel of the girls of the coast. We used methodology of research with descriptive qualitative. The results are 71,43% acceptability of translation quality with score 3 (high) and social discrimination in subordination 62,5%. The benefit of results are to develop literature of translation quality and analysis discrimination aspect in novel of the girls from the coast. The innovation of novelty are teory and guidance of translation in social and gender discrimination with quality translation.

Kegiatan pengabdian kemitraan masyarakat bertujuan untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan budidaya sayuran di lahan sempit menggunakan teknik hidroponik di Perumahan Griya Mutiara Sukoharjo. Metode kegiatan menggunakan ceramah, tutorial dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian adalah Ibu-Ibu Perumahan Griya Mutiara dapat membuat satu set lahan sayuran teknik Hidroponik. Kegiatan bermanfaat untuk menguatkan kekerabatan diantara Ibu-Ibu Perumahan Griya Mutiara Sukoharjo dan menjalin keakraban dengan civitas akademika Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo melalui tim pengabdian. Selain itu, kegiatan juga berfungsi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan lahan sempit untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui teknik hidroponik dan meningkatkan kesadaran mengkonsumsi sayuran.

Kecepatan perkembangan teknologi dan Bahasa Inggris dalam dunia pendidikan mendorong pentingnya penguasaan bahasa Inggris bagi siswa sejak usia belia atau taman kanak-kanak (TK). Peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa inggris yang terbatas bagi Guru Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) mendorong kepedulian adanya pelatihan peningkatan berbicara bahasa Inggris bagi para Guru TK. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan untuk meningkatan kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Inggris melalui Gambar dan meningkatan kewirausahaan kepada Guru TK Dukuh I Dan TK Dukuh II Kecamatan Mojolaban Kabupaten Sukoharjo sehingga anak-anak dapat mengenal bahasa Inggris sejak dini dari Guru mereka. Populasi peserta dari pengabdian ini adalah Para Guru TK Dukuh I Dan TK Dukuh II di Desa Dukuh, Mojolaban, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, sedangkan peserta yang hadir adalah kepala sekolah bersama Guru TK Dukuh I dan II Sukoharjo. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Ceramah, presentasi, tutorial, dan praktek dengan menggunakan gambar. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan gambar dengan media yang sesuai untuk anak-anak TK, yaitu tokoh film kartun, animals, fruits, and vegetables, dan lainnya. Pengabdian dilaksanakan terdiri dari program peningkatan berbicara bahasa bahasa Inggris melalui gambar dan program kewirausahaan. Dampak pelaksanaan pengabdianantara lain Guru TK jadi lebih percaya diri dalam mengajar kewirausahaan dan berbicara bahasa Inggris kepada siswa didiknya. Disamping itu, proses penyampaian pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dapat disampaikan dengan metode yang tepat dan benar kepada siswa TK sehingga anak-anak senang dan menyukai bahasa Inggris sejak dini.

Tourist Attractions in Campursari Lyrics: Analysis of Figurative Language and of Meaning Budi Purnomo; Nunun Tri Widarwati; Arini Hidayah

Background: Many of Didi Kempot’s campursari songs have the themes of tourist attractions. In the Javanese song lyrics and carry the sadness of a man who lost his lover, they contain various figurative languages and meanings related to the ethics and attitudes of Javanese people in using language in their lives by showing language and figurative languages when talking to certain people at a certain place and at a certain time. However, not many people know the figurative languages and meanings expressed in the lyrics of tourist attraction themed songs. Methodology: The campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions were first studied. The lyrics taken from the seven songs were analyzed based on Gibbs’ types of figurative language and Leech’s types of meaning. Three expert raters who are fluent in Javanese, Indonesian and English were asked to review the accuracy and clarity. In using content analysis, the primary data were gathered from the Didi Kempot & Sobat Ambyar Orchestra-YouTube video. Findings: The types of figurative language in the lyrics of campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions are personification, hyperbole, litotes, simile and repetition. The types of meaning contained in the lyrics of campursari songs are conceptual, connotative, social, affective, reflective, collocative and thematic meanings. The meanings related to Javanese ethics and attitudes include the attitudes of narima ‘receptiveness’, sabar ‘patient’, tepa slira ‘tolerance’, aja ngaya ‘don’t push yourself’ and aja srakah ‘don’t be greedy’. Conclusion: The results of this study are expected to make the public better know and understand the figurative languages and of meanings contained in the lyrics of campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions. Originality: This study attempts to analyze the figurative languages and the meanings of the lyrics of campursari songs with the themes of tourist attractions, as never been previously done, and make the public better know and understand them. This research also intends to analyze the meanings associated with the ethics and attitudes of the Javanese in using figurative languages in their lives.
