Abstract

A Conscious Tourism Group in Indonesia called Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) is one of the groups in society that has an important role and contribution in tourism development in a region. The existence of Pokdarwis in the tourist destination should get support and guidance either by the community itself, government, academy and investors. This is so that Pokdarwis can play a more effective role in helping to mobilize the community in realizing the environment and atmosphere that is conducive to the growth and development of tourism activities in tourist destinations. Buleleng District there are 12 Pokdarwis which in practice still needs to get attention from various parties. On this occasion, the Ipteks for Society (IbM) program, which is an annual program implemented by a university, can be a means of providing services to the community regarding issues that arise in the group. Through this IbM program, two Pokdarwis, such as Pokdarwis Tunjung Mekar and Pokdarwis Bhuana Shanti, have just developed physical potential, requiring assistance and training to maximize the potential of their village. In this case the two groups are not well understood for the package tour, so based on the condition, IbMs programme is a means to arrange the community to create package including marketing strategies. Understood the disadvantages of guiding guides that guide travelers who ask them to use a foreign language, then the IbM program is created guidebook in two languages and Indonesian. Through participatory approaches various forms of training and guidance on how to package tourism, holiday techniques and marketing strategies can be done well.

Abstract

Penelitian This research was conducted in order to understand a form of education that is based on the needs of the community through the use of a variety of capital that can be used in the development of tourism in Buleleng. This study uses ethnographic approach which is a culturalist approach and its emphasis on peoples lives. This approach is used considering the culture comes from the community and maintained and implemented by the community. Data in this study were collected through observation and interviews. Moreover carried out literature to books, previous studies and articles that have relevance to the case examined in this study. The data processing is done qualitative descriptive narrative presented. In this case, the existence of regional capitals in Buleleng are very interesting to be known, understood and analyzed in depth in order to produce a model of sustainable tourism. The development of an area into a tourist attraction is not an easy matter. However, the government can work together with local communities to develop the existing tourism in the area, where the first step can be done by utilizing local labor in the area and to synergy between the needs of the community with programs implemented so that the common goal of improving the quality of tourism and social welfare can be achieved.Keywords: an alternative  , education, tourism

Abstract

This paper tries to describe problems faced by students in general in writing final project or minithesis on Economics topics. As the last requirement every student at the Sarjana and Diploma levels, final project or minithesis is often a new and difficult problem faced by the students as they enter the last semester. In some cases, the students besides being late to graduate also drop out because they do not finish the final project or minithesis at the end of the study program. One of the factors that cause this is the studens’ failure to understand what to be chosen as a problem, to formulate the problem, or to find an appropriate title for the problem, so that the solution to the problem has been formulated. In this paper is described the technique to understand something which is appropriate to be made a title for a final project or minithesis, then how to formulate problems, to select a method of study which is suitable for the problem investigated, the data collection technique and data analysis. Through this paper it is expected that the students at the Sarjana and Diploma levels can understand how to write a final project or thesis in a simple away.

Abstract

Wisata Religi merupakan salah satu perjalanan wisata yang dikembangkan dengan menyikapi fenomena manusia yang kembali sadar sebagai manusia yang homo religius. Namun, banyaknya pekerjaan yang sedang dijalani umat Hindu khususnya sering kali mereka mengalami kesulitan untuk mengatur waktunya dalam melakukan perjalanan religi yakni ke pura-pura. Memahami kondisi tersebut, maka pengembangan wisata religi yang dikembangkan oleh para pelaku pariwisata ternyata telah mampu memberikan solusi bagi umat Hindu yang ingin melakukan aktifitas religi, dimana mereka menyerahkan perjalanan religinya kepada travel agent, yang akhirnya melahirkan paket wisata religi. Keunikan pura yang ada di Bali ternyata tidak saja menarik untuk dijadikan sebagai tempat untuk bersembahyang, namun beberapa dari pengunjung juga tertarik untuk memahami dan mempelajari tentang pura. Berusaha mengambil peluang tersebut, dan menyesuaikan dengan bidang keahlian yang dimiliki maka paket wisata religi yang dikembangkan oleh travel Undiksha yang sudah diberi nama Ganesha Tours and Travel memiliki keungulan yakni:1) memberikan layanan perjalanan wisata yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen; 2) mampu menjelaskan keunikan pura dengan memahami pura berdasarkan kajian secara semiotika khususnya membaca hidden transcript yang ada di setiap pahatan dan artefak yang ada di pura; 3) mampu mengajak masyarakat untuk lebih memahami potensi pura sehingga mau menjaga pura sebagai tempat suci sebagai objek wisata, untuk itu perlu dilakukan pendampingan secara teratur; 4) Travel ini juga bisa menjadi tempat untuk belajar bagi mahasiswa yang mengambil jurusan kepariwisataan. Selain wisata religi, travel ini juga mengembangkan jasa layanan wisata lainnya seperti melayani wisata riset bagi peneliti, dan kegiatan studi lapangan bagi mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, travel ini tidak saja bermanfaat bagi lembaga, dosen dan mahasiswa, namun juga bagi masyarakat. Usaha ini akhirnya dapat memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi lembaga Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, baik pengelola IbIKK, kontribusi pendapatan ke lembaga, bagi LPM dan tempat pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study was intended to present the matters pertaining to the attempts made by the vendors ‘pedagang acung’ to keep being independent in tourism sector in Bali. As working people with extremely limited capitals, the principle of giving priority to safety is applicable to them. They sell souvenirs with limited capitals obtained from various souvenir entrepreneurs coming from different parts of Bali. The risk of suffering from loss has never caused them to find any difficulty. This qualitative study was conducted in the paradigm of cultural studies. The data were presented and interpreted in the form of narrative texts which are thick descriptive in nature.   The result of the study showed that working as vendors was still a profession which contributed to the decrease in unemployment in an area. This is in line with the concept of poststructuralism that people are basically referred to as homo faber, namely, the working creature, meaning that working is highly important to man. This means that employment does not only give the opportunity to generate income but also importantly means that employment is a personal identity. As a consequence, if working is different from not working or being jobless, then such a choice does not only lead to an opposing binary but also to a hierarchical social division and a structured social gap between those who are employed and those who are not. They all positively contribute to themselves, environment, entrepreneurs, and the local government.

Abstract

This present study is intended to explain the social practice performed by the pedagang acung (vendors) at Kintamani Tourist Area, Bangli Regency, Bali Province. In selling their commodities, the vendors cannot be separated from those who are involved in the development of tourism. In this present study the data were collected through observation, interview and library research. The data were eclectically analyzed using the theory of social practice and some other supporting theories. Such theories were used to identify various forms of the social practice performed by the vendors. The result of the study showed that in practice the vendors interacted with various parties involved in the development of tourism at Kintamani, Bangli. The consequence was that they fought for the capital as they had different interests. Having a limited amount of capital caused them to be marginalized by those who had bigger amounts of capital. The economic, social and cultural capitals they had caused them to be suspected of the sources of the problems in the development of tourism at Kintamani. They should not have been negatively viewed but should also have been positively viewed. In other words, they should have been viewed as those who ran entrepreneurship with limited amounts of capital who could also reduce the rate of unemployment and contribute to the economic development in Bangli Regency in particular and Bali Province in general.

Abstract

Pedagang  acung  di  Desa  Batur  Tengah  merupakan sekelompok  masyarakat  yang mencari nafkah dengan menjual produk wisata berupa souvenir yang didapatnya melalui pemasok dari Gianyar dan Denpasar. Namun, di dalam menjual produk wisata tersebut, mereka mengalami berbagai kendala, diantaranya larangan yang dibuat guide kepada kliennya/wisatawan untuk membeli produk yang ditawarkan oleh si pedagang acung karena kualitas yang kurang bagus dan harga yang cukup mahal. Hal ini membuat pedagang acung mengalami kesulitan, dimana mereka mengalami kesulitan dalam pemenuhan   kebutuhan   hidup   mereka   karena pendapatan   yang   kurang.   Dengan demikian, perlu adanya penengah yakni pihak pemerintah yang dapat memposisikan diri sebagai penghubung antara pedagang acung dnegan guide. Secara teknis metode pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menjadi enam tahapan yakni: 1) Melakukan pendekatan dengan dinas kebudayaan dan pariwisata Kabupaten Bangli; 2) Menginformasikan kegiatan kepada Kepala Desa setempat; 3) Mencari tempat untuk dijadikan sebagai tempat pelatihan dalam kegiatan P2M; 4) Mendata peserta; 5) Melaksanakan kegiatan dengan waktu pelatihan dilaksanakan satu hari yakni pada tanggal 4 September 2012, Pukul 08.00 wita ? selesai. Yang menjadi fokus dalam kegiatan ini  adalah  dinas  kebudayan  dan pariwisata  Kabupaten  Bangli agar  mau memiliki komitmen untuk mengembangkan pariwisata yang berbasis masyarakat dan memperdulikan masyarakat, khususnya perhatian terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan pedagang acung karena mereka lah yang memiliki daerah tersebut, yang tinggal dan menjaga wilayah tersebut untuk tetap menjadi kawasan wisata yang mau dikunjungi oleh wisatawan.

Abstract

 Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh (1) kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan (2) budaya kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan (3) kompetensi dan budaya kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif kausal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah karyawan Divisi Umum dan SDM Rumah Sakit Umum Karya Dharma Husada Bros Singaraja dan objek penelitian ini adalah kompetensi, budaya kerja, dan kinerja karyawan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 50 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) kompetensi  berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (2) budaya kerja berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan  (3) kompetensi dan budaya kerja berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan Kata kunci: kompetensi, budaya kerja, kinerja karyawan                                                                        Abstract The purpose of this research is to test the impact of (1) competence on employee performance, (2) work culture on employee performance, (3) competence and work culture on employee performance. The research design used is causal quantitative research. The subject of this study is all employees of the divisi umum dan SDM Rumah Sakit Umum Karya Dharma Husada Bros Singaraja the object of this study is competence, work culture and employee performance. The population of this studi is 50. Data collected by questionnaires, interviews, and observation. The data analysis used is multiple linier regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the competence has a positive and significant impact on the performance employee  (2) work culture has a positive and significant impact on the performance employee (3) the competence and work culture has a positive significant on the performance employee  Keyword:  employee performance, competence, work culture.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji (1) pengaruh beban kerja terhadap kinerja sales promotion, (2) pengaruh  beban kerja terhadap kinerja  sales promotion dengan motivasi sebagai variabel moderasi. Penelitian ini meggunakan desain kuantitatif kausal. PT.  World Innovative Telecommunication  merupakan salah satu perusahaan elektronik yang memproduk smartphone dengan merek OPPO.Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan sales promotion PT World Innovative Telecommunication Cabang Singaraja yaitu sebanyak 34 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah beban kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan sales promotion dengan motivasi sebagai variable moderasi karyawan. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analsis moderasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1)Beban kerja berpengaruh negative dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, menunjukan beban kerja dapat menurunkan kinerja sales promotion.(2) motivasi dapat mempengaruhi beban kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan, yakni motivasi dapat menurunkan beban kerja sehingga meningkatkan kinerja. Kata kunci: Beban Kerja, Kinerja, Motivasi.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produk pastry yang di jual di hotel Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort dan strategi yang dilakukan dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk pastry di hotel Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Executive Sous Chef, Chef Pastry, Chef de Partie dan Staff Kitchen Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort. Objek penelitian ini adalah strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk pastry di hotel Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort. Teknik analisis yang dipergunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi produk pastry yang dijual di hotel Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort adalah rendahnya penjualan produk pastry dan bahan baku untuk pembuatan kue. Strategi yang dilakukan dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk pastry di hotel Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort adalah membuat inovasi baru yang membuat keunikan di setiap penyajian, hygiene dan sanitasi, serta menjaga dan meningkatkan kualitas makanan. Kata Kunci: Produk pastry, Bahan baku, Kualitas produk Anantara Seminyak Bali Abstract This study aims to find out pastry products sold at Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort hotels and the strategy carried out in improving the quality of pastry products in Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort hotel. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were the Sous Executive Chef, Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie and Kitchen Staff Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort. The object of this research is a strategy in improving the quality of pastry products at the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort hotel. The analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the factors that influence the pastry products sold at the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort hotels is low sales of pastry products and raw materials for making cake, the strategy carried out in improving the quality of pastry products at the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort hotels is making new innovations which makes it unique in every presentation, hygiene and sanitation, and maintaining and improving food quality.
