Abstract

Personal hygiene is an effort to maintain personal hygiene and health. Knowledge about personal hygiene needs to be known by children from an early age so that children avoid diseases such as worms, dental caries, and others. Increased knowledge will improve personal hygiene behavior in a better behavior. This community service activity aimed to increase children's knowledge about personal hygiene, improve personal hygiene behavior, and to find out the description of dental and oral health in children at the Baiturrahmah Orphanage, Kampar Regency. The method used in this community service activity was education, dental and oral health check up. This community service activities began with pretest, education, post test, and dental and oral health check up. The results of this service activity showed an increase in knowledge about personal hygiene, especially about dental and oral health, as well as hand washing WHO 6 steps by 18.01%, there were 59.26% of children suffering from dental and oral diseases such as superficial caries, chronic pulpitis, pulp gangrene, pulp polyps, crowding, and impacted teeth. It is necessary to carry out routine dental and oral health check up on children at the Baiturrahmah Orphanage and familiarize children with good personal hygiene behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of cocoa commodities in Bireuen Regency. Primary data and secondary data relating to competitiveness in Bireuen District. PAM analysis is used in this research to analyze the level of competitiveness. The number of farmer sample taken in this research is 19 people determined by simple random sampling and merchant sample determined by simple random sampling method. The results show that cocoa commodity in Bireuen Regency has competitiveness seen from competitive advantage and comparative advantage. The analysis of competitive advantage consists of positive private gain (PP) and Privat Cost Ratio (PCR) of less than 1 that is 0.45 indicates that cocoa commodity in Bireuen Regency has competitive advantage. Comperative advantage analysis consisted of positive social benefit (SP) and Domestic Resource Cost (DRC) of less than 1 that is 0.28 indicates that cocoa commodity in Bireuen Regency has a competitive advantage.

Abstract

Integrated Healthcare Center (Posyandu) provides access to the community for basic health access, especially for children under five. Indonesian Ministry of Health targeting children under five visit coverage at Posyandu by 90%. Children under five visit coverage to Posyandu at Tanah Putih Tj. Melawan public health center in 2019 only 37.2% of children under five visit coverage at Posyandu Melayu Besar by 42.8%. It is far from the expected target. The objective of this study is to determine factors influencing mother visitation to posyandu Melayu Besar, Rokan Hilir district. Fifty five mothers who have children between 1 – 5 years old were included in this study with accidental sampling. This observational study using a cross-sectional design. This study was conducted from August-October 2022. Collecting data using questionnaire and registration book for posyandu for visitation data. We analyze with univariate for distribution frequencies and bivariate using chi-square for relations. Most of the mothers who bring their children to posyandu are not working and high school graduates, with distance from home to posyandu not being a significant variable. Knowledge level about posyandu mostly in the “good” category by 60%. Number of children under five visit in the “routine” category by 61.8%. There is a correlation with mother visitation. Chi-Square (X2) analysis earned p-value = 0,004 compare to α = 5% mean p < 0,05. In conclusion, there is a correlation between the mother’s knowledge with number of children under five visitation to posyandu.
