Abstract

The purpose of this study was to document the confusion of the written language use development in the millennial era, especially in creative economic domains of business units, such as restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, or other millennial generation businesses. The study used a phenomenological qualitative research. The data of the research were business unit labels found in the public areas to attract the consumers. All labels of millennial business units were qualitatively analyzed using syntactic techniques. The research revealed various labels of business units as products of language creativity leading to language confusion. This was a phenomenon deliberately chosen by millennial business owners to get commercial value for consumers. Based on these findings, the research concluded that the labelling of millennial business units could be categorized into several variations, namely: 1) naming millennial business units with the absorption of foreign languages, 2) spelling, and 3) meaning. Therefore, the research suggests to conduct socialization to the millennial business unit owners about the rules of language uses in public spaces so that the existence of the Indonesian language and the commercial side could go hand in hand.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: proses alih wahana sastra dari novel ke film merupakan bagian dari proses kreatif sastra yang disebut ekranisasi. Fenomena ekranisasi menjadi isu mutakhir dalam dunia sastra terkait dengan film-film yang masuk dalam daftar box office film Indonesia 70% di antaranya adalah film yang merupakan hasil ekranisasi novel. Munculnya berbagai apresiasi dari penikmat sastra, baik sikap negatif maupun positif dari penikmat sastra semata-mata sebagai ekspresi penyambutan fenomena sastra yang muncul. Sikap positif hendaknya disikapi menjadi motivasi bagi penulis novel maupun produser film. Sikap negatif dapat diatasi dengan dua alternasi, yaitu: (1) menjalin kerja sama antara penulis dan produser serta (2) membuat film sendiri.Kata kunci: ekranisasi, film, sastra, apresiasiDOI : 10.15408/bat.v23i2.5756

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce a product of teaching materials to write opinion articles to improve the ability to write opinion articles for students of class XII. In particular, the purpose of this research and development is to develop teaching materials to write opinion articles with Brainstorming method in the class XII students packed in a printed book. To achieve these objectives used the modification of Borg and Gall learning design development. Teaching materials to write opinion articles for students of class XII is a product developed by containing four competencies to write opinion articles. The four competencies are (1) competence in writing facts and opinions, (2) writing reasoning competence, (3) competence of text structure of opinion, and (4) writing text competence and opinion article.Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk bahan ajar menulis artikel opini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis artikel opini bagi siswa kelas XII. Secara khusus, tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar menulis  artikel  opini dengan metode Curah Gagasan pada siswa kelas XII yang dikemas dalam buku cetak. Untuk mencapai tujuan  tersebut digunakan modifikasi pengembangan desain pembelajaran Borg dan Gall. Bahan ajar menulis artikel opini untuk siswa kelas XII merupakan produk yang dikembangkan dengan memuat empat kompetensi menulis artikel opini. Keempat kompetensi tersebut adalah (1) kompetensi penulisan fakta dan opini, (2) kompetensi penulisan penalaran, (3) kompetensi penyusunan struktur teks opini, dan (4) kompetensi penulisan teks serta artikel opini.

Abstract

This research is more focused on Mattayum (high school) students at Anuban Muslim Satun School, Thailand. The problem faced by the teacher is to determine the appropriate method for teaching Indonesian at the school. This is because there are several factors, such as the strong influence of the Siamese language (native Thai language), it is not customary for learners to use Indonesian, and the strong influence of the Malay language which seems to be considered the same as Indonesian. This study uses a qualitative method of the type of grounded theory. Data analysis used structural analysis in accordance with the production of the language context written by students at Anuban Muslim Satun. The purpose of this study is to analyze the production of student writing. The results obtained from this study are recommendations on Indonesian language learning methods for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) based on language contexts. AbstrakPenelitian ini lebih difokuskan kepada pemelajar Mattayum (SMA) di Anuban Muslim Satun School, Thailand. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh pengajar adalah menentukan metode yang tepat untuk mengajarkan bahasa Indonesia di sekolah tersebut. Hal tersebut karena adanya beberapa faktor, seperti kuatnya pengaruh bahasa Siam (bahasa asli Thailand), tidak terbiasanya pemelajar menggunakan bahasa Indonesia, dan kuatnya pengaruh bahasa Melayu yang seolah-olah dianggap sama dengan bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis grounded theory. Analisis data menggunakan analisis struktural sesuai dengan produksi konteks bahasa tulis pemelajar di Anuban Muslim Satun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis produksi tulisan pemelajar. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi metode pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) berbasis konteks bahasa.

Abstract

Branding is urgent in a business because it is through branding that consumers know our commodities. However, business actors often do not pay much attention to branding and marketing their products. This is the reason for holding this mentoring program. Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Pamekasan already has produced results in the form of flip-flops but only for the internal needs of the orphanage and has not been able to market it to outside parties because it does not have branding. This empowerment method uses Asset-Based Community-driven Development (ABCD) with a target of 25 children from Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Pamekasan. From this mentoring program Panti, Asuhan Muhammadiyah Pamekasan has been able to make flip-flops branding by doing screen printing on the sandals produced so that they can market their products to shops around the orphanage, the results of which are used to support the independence of the orphanage.(Branding menjadi hal yang sangat urgen dalam sebuah usaha karena melalui brandinglah komoditas kita dikenal oleh konsumen. Namun, seringkali para pelaku usaha tidak begitu memperhatikan branding dalam memasarkan hasil peroduksinya. Hal ini menjadi alasan diadakannya program pendampingan ini. Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Pamekasan telah memiliki hasil produksi berupa sandal jepit namun hanya untuk kebutuhan internal panti dan belum mampu memasarkan ke pihak luar karena belum memiliki branding. Metode pemberdayaan ini menggunakan Asset Based Community-driven Development (ABCD) dengan target 25 anak Panti Asuhan Pamekasan Muhammadiyah. Dari program pendampingan ini Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Pamekasan telah mampu membuat branding sandal jepit dengan melakukan sablon pada sandal yang dihasilkan sehingga mampu memasarkan hasil produksinya ke took-toko sekitar panti asuhan yang hasilnya digunakan untuk mendukung kemandirian panti asuhan).

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on all aspects of education around the world. This pandemic shattered the previously established education system. Face-to-face offline learning in schools has been forced to close and disrupt the learning of more than 1.6 billion students worldwide. Learning in droves has turned to using online-based technology, including learning Indonesian in Indonesia. Students are forced to follow these fundamental changes for the sake of the continuity of the learning process. This study attempts to describe students' perceptions of online-based Indonesian language learning in one of the Indonesian schools, SMAN 1 Pasuruan.

Abstract

The teacher's strategy in optimizing the affective aspects of students is a very important thing in education because the affective aspects will relate to the interests and attitudes of students in learning. This study aims to determine the strategies of social studies teachers in optimizing the affective aspects of students at SMPN 8 Pamekasan, to determine the impact of implementing the social studies teacher strategies in optimizing the affective aspects, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the social studies teacher strategies in optimizing the affective aspects of students. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenological research. From this research, it is known that there are several strategies that social studies teachers use in optimizing the affective aspects of students, starting from pre-learning, during learning and post-learning, all of which is done in order to get optimal learning outcomes from students at school.

Abstract

In this study, response of religious moderation approach is the main study based on the uploading analysis of Catholic Social Media Accounts Garis Lucu (KGL) and NU Garis Lucu (NUGL) with total 15,050 followers. The method used in this study is qualitative with grounded theory approach, i.e. generalizing theory, action, or interaction. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the administrators of both social media accounts tend to use the dimensions of humor language strategies by a variety of humor strategies: irony, allusion, exaggeration, sarcasm, definition, and facetiounness. The humor strategy application on KGL and NUGL account became a positive culture in the social media world as well as a soothing publication that must be exemplified by other social media accounts considering that social media users are mostly millennials.Keywords: terrorism; religious moderation; humor strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the government's role in overcoming the Covid-19 problem through the socialization of PrayfromHome as an effort to improve ways to improve themselves in increasing the immunity of religious communities. This was done because a vaccine for the Covid-19 virus has not yet been found. To find out the role of the government, the researchers conducted data collection based on the propositions contained in the virtual joint editorial prayer offered by policy makers and representatives of interfaith prayer. The method used in this research is a qualitative research based on cyber pragmatics based on each thematic content contained in the editorial propositions of the prayers offered. The results of the study show that Pray from home activities have thematic content which is divided into (1) from the policy makers, the Covid-19 outbreak requires every religious adherent to provide physical and mental enthusiasm as an initial provision of intangible vaccines for the Indonesian people, (2) from the representative side of inter-religious prayer that raises several inner conditions, including (a) there are several acknowledgments of mistakes for all actions carried out in the world to the Creator before asking for the world to return to normal, (b) the existence of a form of superiority of God's natural power, as the greatest power, a place to surrender, (c) hope for all parties involved or at the forefront in handling the Covid-19 pandemic so as not to provide strength and safety during the handling process. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan peran pemerintah dalam mengatasi permasalahan Covid-19 melalui sosialisasi doa bersama PrayfromHome sebagai upaya meningkatkan keimanan yang berujung pada peningkatan imun umat beragama. Hal itu dilakukan karena vaksin dari virus Covid-19 belum ditemukan. Untuk mengetahui peran pemerintah tersebut, peneliti melakukan pengambilan data berdasarkan proposisi-proposisi yang terdapat dalam redaksional doa bersama secara virtual yang dipanjatkan oleh pemangku kebijakan dan perwakilan pendoa antaragama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif berbasis analisis pragmatik siber berdasarkan setiap muatan tematik yang terdapat dalam proposisi-proposisi redaksional doa yang dipanjatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kegiatan Pray from Home memiliki muatan tematik yang terbagi atas (1) dari sisi pemangku kebijakan, adanya wabah pandemi Covid-19 ini mengharuskan setiap pemeluk agama untuk memberikan penguatan diri secara fisik maupun mental sebagai bekal awal vaksin tak benda bagi masyarakat Indonesia, (2) dari sisi perwakilan pendoa antaragama yang memunculkan beberapa kondisi batiniah, di antaranya (a) terdapat beberapa pengakuan kekhilafan atas segala perbuatan yang dilakukan didunia kepada Sang Pencipta sebelum meminta agar dunia kembali seperti sediakala, (b) adanya bentuk superioritas kekuatan alami Tuhan, sebagai kekuatan terbesar, tempat memasrahkan diri, (c) terselipkan harapan kepada semua pihak yang terlibat atau garda terdepan dalam penanganan pandemi Covid-19 agar diberikan kekuatan serta keselamatan selama proses penanangan wabah berlangsung.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic outbreak has made children in the Pademawu Timur area play a lot, be lazy, and forget the purpose of learning from home. One of the activities that can develop reading and writing skills is village children's work. This article discusses the development of a village literacy movement to increase interest in reading and writing. This research was compiled based on data collected while the researcher was carrying out the KPM MDR (Kuliah Pengabdi Masyarakat Mandiri) program. One of the activities that the author does is holding literacy activities (Gubuk Literasi) which are carried out at a Village Hall located in the Malangan Hamlet area, Pademawu Timur Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan Regency. This activity focuses more on writing and reading activities. To develop students' creativity in making scientific papers in the form of poetry, narration, and short stories. In addition to the work of village children, the profile of East Pademawu Village is also included which will be made into a book. With this village literacy activity, it is hoped that it can provide a platform for village children to consistently develop their creativity.(Wabah pandemi Covid-19 membuat anak-anak di wilayah Pademawu Timur banyak bermain-main, bermalas-malasan, dan lupa akan tujuan kegiatan belajar dari rumah. Salah satu kegiatan yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis sebuah karya anak-anak desa. Artikel ini membahas mengenai pengembangan gerakan literasi desa untuk meningkatkan minat membaca dan menulis. Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan selama peneliti melaksanakan program KPM MDR (Kuliah Pengabdi Masyarakat Mandiri). Salah satu kegiatan yang penulis lakukan adalah mengadakan kegiatan literasi (Gubuk Literasi) yang dilaksanakan di sebuah Balai Desa yang terletak dikawasan Dusun Malangan, Desa Pademawu Timur, Kecamatan Pademawu, Kabupaten Pamekasan. Pada kegiatan ini lebih berfokus pada kegiatan menulis dan membaca. Untuk mengembangkan kekreatifitasan siswa dalam membuat sebuah karya tulis ilmiah yang berupa Puisi, Narasi, dan Cerpen. Selain karya dari anak desa juga disertakan mengenai profil Desa Pademawu Timur yang akan dijadikan sebuah buku. Dengan adanya kegiatan literasi desa ini diharapkan dapat memberi wadah kepada anak-anak desa untuk selalu mengembangkan kekreatifitasan mereka).
