Abstract

This paper discuss the design and fabrication of NO2 gas sensor based on metal oxide using thick film technology was described. The design of gas sensor is consisted of components, i.e. heater, electrode (interdigital fingers) and sensitive layer from In2O3 material. This sensor has been designed as multilayers with heater and both electrodes in one surface , in accordance with miniaturisation aspect, heat distribution and less consumption of energy from the sensor device. The heater and electrode were fabricated on alumina substrate (aluminum oxide/Al2O3) with silver paste. The In2O3layer provides resistance change when it is exposed by NO2 gas. It indicates that this sensor device has a potency to be used as NO2 detector.

Abstract

This paper discuss the design and fabrication of microdevice to be used as platform for CO (Carbon monoxide) gas sensor based on tin dioxide (SnO2). The device has been designed on silicon substrate with an active area of 3x3 mm2, and it is consist of bonding pad, heater, electrode, and temperature sensor components. The minimum feature size used is 50 microns, as allowed by the capability of photolithographic process. The formation of microdevice structure was carried out by lift-off technique on platinum (Pt) layer, which was deposited by DC sputtering with aluminum (Al) as sacrificial layer. The overall chip dimension is 5x5 mm2.  The measurement that was conducted to study the characteristic of resistance as function of temperature has shown  that the heater and temperature sensor elements could work as expected, in which their resistances change linearly as the temperature of the substrate increase by 20 – 200 °C. The resistance values of the heater increase 500 – 1000 ohm. Meanwhile, the resistance increasing for temperatur sensor is between  100 – 300 ohm.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi otomotif sekarang ini semakin pesat yaitu dengan fasilitas accessories mobil yang semakin lengkap. Namun berbagai fasilitas yang terdapat dalam mobil tanpa disadari menyimpan ancaman bahaya bagi pengguna mobil salah satunya ketika system pada AC (Air Conditioner) terjadi kebocoran maka gas CO (karbon monoksida) akan memenuhi ruang mobil yang tertutup. Gas CO ini sangat berbahaya karena gas ini tidak berwarna, tidak berbau, dan tidak berasa sehingga sulit untuk dideteksi yang dapat menyebabkan orang yang ada didalam mobil menjadi mati lemas tanpa disadari karena menghirup gas CO yang bocor. Dengan fenomena tersebut dibutuhkan sebuah alat yang dapat mendeteksi dan mengontrol kebocoran gas CO untuk memberikan rasa aman kepada pengguna mobil. Alat ini menggunakan kendali logika fuzzy sebagai proses pengambilan keputusan sebagai hasil nilai dari inferensi kerja array sensor. Pengendali utama pada sistem menggunakan mikrokontroller ATmega32. Ketika array sensor yaitu TGS2442 dan TGS2600 mendeteksi kadar gas CO >29,0 ppm berarti dalam status bahaya sehingga buzzer akan aktif diikuti motor DC yang menggerakkan kaca mobil agar terbuka. Berdasarkan lima kali pengujian yang dilakukan didapatkanlah rata-rata selisih error output gas sebesar 0.29 ppm disaat kondisi aman dan 3.87 ppm disaat kondisi bahaya.

Abstract

Hindarto, Slamet Widodo, Sigit Mujiharjo; The objective of the first research is to know: (1) the background of economic factors of transmigrant, (2) the natural resources potency, (3) the human resources of transmigrant potency, (4) the analysis of business environment, (5) the model micro business development, (6) the build of micro business group, (7) the formulation model based on human and natural resource potency with simple and accepted technology, (8) the practice of simple and accepted technology, (9) the practice of marketing, and (10) the training of small/micro business management. The result of the research is identified that: (1) the transmigrant society have a high motivation to stay at location study, (2) the transmigrant society wish to facilitation in economic development to income generating, (3) the transmigrant society zeal for to follow research program conducted by researcher, (4) have been build of small business group, (5) have executed of simple and accepted technology test-drive, (6) have executed of training of small business management, (7) marketing management. Abstract

High intensity of rainfall in tropical region causes the subgrade often geting a deteoriation of soil support that influences the pavement performance on it. Therefore, in the Kalimantan West province the type of pavement, rigid pavement, was widely applied. In this paper a study regarding with a evaluation of pavement  using Cement Treated Base on link of Simpang-1 Belitang – Belitang in Sekadau regency with applying a Hammer test and CBR test on the field was already undertaken which the result as a second opinion of  academic contribution. The results suggest that the pavement is still a good performance to serve road traffic which compression strength was above 125 kg/cm2 and the CBR test was above 125%.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop the feasibility of scientific approach-based students’ worksheet to improve four graders’ problem-solving skills on surrounding environment issues. This study was conducted using Research and Development (RD) method which produces scientific approach-based students’ worksheet. Practicality of this students’ worksheet based on learning practice showed excellent result. This scientific approach-based students’ worksheet can be used to teach and improve students’ problem-solving skills on surrounding environment in the fourth grade of Elementary School. This case is proved by good performance of students in solving problems related to their surrounding environment with a percentage of 81% which shows very high category.

Abstract

 Abstract:. The research was conducted on the basis of students' lack of social participation  in the community. The cause of this situation is the lack of understanding of the students related to the importance of social participation skills. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in the participation of students' social skills. The research design used classroom action research with data collection instruments, namely observation sheets, test sheets and questionnaire sheets. Data analysis technique used quantitative and qualitative. The research results showed that the participation of students' social skills improved through contextual learning approach.Keyword: social studies, Learning Approach Contextual, Social Participation Skills. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan atas dasar partisipasi sosial siswa yang masih kurang di masyarakat. Penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa terkait pentingnya keterampilan partisipasi sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan partisipasi sosial siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan instrument pengumpulan datanya yaitu lembar observasi, lembar tes dan lembar angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa keterampilan partisipasi sosial siswa meningkat melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan IPS, Pendekatan Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Keterampilan Partisipasi Sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effect of independent learning and school library facilities on learning outcomes practice on introductory economics and business subjects.This study uses a quantitative approach, with as many as 204 respondents were taken from the part of the population that has been determined, amounting to 418 students. Data were obtained through a questionnaire enclosed means party members who completed questionnaires answers through alternative answers that have been provided by the researcher.The data of this study focuses on a class XI student of Business and Management Expertise consisting of eleven classes that include skills programs Accounting, Office Administration, Banking and Retail Business Management which is exactly the lesson introductory class on economics and bisnsi given.Related to the objective (1), the results showed that there is influence of the independent learning Learning Outcomes Practice Introduction to Economics and Business Class XI at SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya. (2) the results showed that there is influence means the school library to learn the results of introductory economics and business practice in class XI in SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya. (3) The results showed that there is influence of independent learning and school library facilities simultaneously on learning outcomes of introductory economics and business practices

Abstract

Kadar Asam Lemak Bebas (ALB) yang rendah merupakan salah satu indikator kualitas Crude Palm Oil (CPO) yang baik. Apabila Tandan Buah Segar (TBS) kelapa sawit yang lewat matang ikut diolah menjadi CPO, maka kadar ALB selama produksi dapat meningkat. Proses pemanenan menjadi titik krusial yang sangat mempengaruhi tingkat kematangan buah. Selama ini penentuan kematangan TBS kelapa sawit masih dilakukan secara visual yang bergantung kepada kemampuan dan kondisi pemanen buah sawit. Oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan suatu metode secara kuantitatif yang dapat memprediksi kadar ALB secara objektif. Pada penelitian ini, akan dikembangankan metode non-destruktif berbasis NIR spectroscopy yang akan dikaji sebagai metode untuk menentukan tingkat kematangan TBS berdasarkan kandungan ALB. Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan, yaitu akuisisi data reflektansi spektrum TBS dengan NIR Flex N-500, pengukuran kadar ALB, dan pembangunan model kalibrasi dengan menggunakan kemometrik. Dari hasil pengembangan model didapatkan nilai R2 tanpa preprocessing sebesar 0.236, RPD sebesar 1.27 dan PC sebesar 2. Proprocessing First Derivative Savitzky Golay (DG1) memberikan nilai koefisien determinasi tertinggi yaitu sebesar 0.243, dengan nilai RPD sebesar 1.17 dan PC sebesar 2. Akan tetapi kualitas model kalibrasi yang dibangun tetap belum mampu menunjukkan kehandalan dalam memprediksi kandungan ALB tandan buah segar kelapa sawit.

Abstract

Non Linear Frequency Modulation (NLFM) method can suppress the peak sidelobe level without additional windowing function. NLFM doesn’t require any weighting function because it has inbuilt one. NLFM has a variable frequency deviation function due to the relation between frequency and time of the signal which is not linear so that it is possible to suppress of peak sidelobe level. This paper studies the characteristic of various NLFM waveform, such as NLFM Tri Stage Piece Wise (TSPW), NLFM S, and NLFM Taylor. The study of Pulse Compression of NLFM waveform consists of three aspects. First, analysis of pulse compression performance. Second, analysis of background noise. Last, analysis of Doppler effects. The simulation is done using Matlab software. The lowest  value Peak Sidelobe Level (PSL)of NLFM TSPW is about -20 dB while NLFM S and NLFM Taylor are about -32 dB and -39 dB. Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Doppler Effect influenced the value of PSL for each NLFM waveform. NLFM Taylor has the best NLFM waveform when the Doppler Effect and AWGN cause the value of PSL become high. Comparison between NLFM Taylor and Linear Frequency Modulation(LFM) is done in radar surveillance applications to analyze the detectability performance where the condition of Radar Cross Section (RCS) for each target has different significant value. The three targets are commercial airplanes, helicopter and fighter. For detectability performance, NLFM Taylor can detect more clearly than LFM conventional.
