Abstract

Noise and heat has become a problem for worker in animal food processing company.  The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of noise and heat to stres. Noise and heat data were collected as primary data and stres was collected by questionnaire and analyzed by multiple regression. The result showed relationship between noise, heat and stres (sig 0,003<0.05). A moderate correlation between noise, heat and stres was also observed (r=0,561). No differences between two groups of age, gender and status were found with t test. Reducing noise and heat by engineering and administrative control were necessary execute. There is no need for different treatment to reduce stres between group of gender, age and status.

Abstract

Ship converting has become as prospective activity in ship building area. Operational and economical aspect are the most dominant rationale. Baseon a new fuction of converted ship, a task list which contain several jobs that must be done is listed. This accomplishment schedule not only contain a task list, but also duration for certain job title. In practical apllication job duration is maintained based on experience of project manager.  Further more, total accomplish duration is setted as time accomplishment for the project. This setted time has become reference for the project bid. Occasionaly, if accomplishment time which offered is strict, than schedule slip become as potencial nightmare. For this situation, project manager has had a cristal clearconsideration to select a proper decision wheter he will take the tender offer or not. practically, project mananger has layed on his experience to handle previous project and face  penalty if the project delayed. This paper focussed on how to measure tender offer based on risk analysis, specially for converted ship tender which has a strike time accomplishment.A new application method to analysis proposed tender based on time and penalty parameter has become a topic of this paper.

Abstract

Emergency situations that have tendency or potential harm can be happened any time and any where and carry some big damaging impacts to property damages, mental disturbances, injured and died victims. In shipping, emergencies can be happened in both at anchor or while doing loading and unloading activities at the port. The type of equipments used in emergency situations set out in SOLAS Chapter III (Life Saving Appliance) and the guidelines for evacuation analysis on passenger ships refer to the IMO Guidelines Interm MSC/Circ.909. This study aimed to determine the muster station and evacuation time on the ship 42 M crewboats with a capacity of 101passengers. This ship consists of three parts of decks, these are lower part, main deck and bridge deck. The results showed that the placement of muster station is on the bridge deck with required wide 35.35 m2. Evacuation time need by the all passengers to reach the muster station on the bridge deck is 51.59 minutes, and this is in accordance with standard evacuation time (not more than 60 minutes).

Abstract

Manajemen keselamatan merupakan pengorganisasian, sumber daya manusia, kebijakan dan prosedur interaktif yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi kemungkinan kerusakan dan kerugian di tempat kerja. Salah satu cara untuk memperbaiki manajemen keselamatan di perusahaan adalah dengan melakukan penelitian mengenai faktor yang berpengaruh dalam risiko kesalahan perilaku. Secara umum, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keselamatan kerja tidak memiliki struktur fisik. Untuk itu, maka masalah pada kondisi nyata dapat direpresentasikan dengan cara yang lebih baik menggunakan angka fuzzy untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor ini. Pada penelitian ini, pendekatan Fuzzy AHP bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat Faulty Behavior Risk (FBR) pada sistem kerja.Penentuan faktor yang berpengaruh dalam Faulty Behavior Risk (FBR)/risiko dari perilaku yang salah dimulai dengan menentukan responden, penyusunan kuesioner, uji validitas dan reliabilitas, hasil dari kuesioner dijadikan inputan dalam pengolahan data dengan metode FuzzyAnalytic Hierachy Process (FAHP). Kuesioner ini dibuat berdasarkan konsep safety management yang terdiri dari 4 faktor, yaitu faktor organisasi, faktor pribadi, faktor pekerjaan dan faktor lingkungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bay 2.1 yang memproduksi panel dan bay 7.1 yang memproduksi finning. Berdasarkan perhitungan FBR pada bay 2.1 menunjukkan nilai 0,4793 yang berarti risiko kesalahan perilaku di antara batas bawah (0,25) dan batas atas (0,50). Sedangkan pada bay 7.1 sebesar 0,5317 yang berarti risiko kesalahan perilaku memiliki potensi tinggi karena berada di atas batas atas. Dari hasil penentuan FBR didapatkan nilai  pada bay 2.1 yang memiliki risiko penyebab tertinggi terdapat pada sub faktor kurang persiapan (0,0788) sedangkan pada bay 7.1 dengan nilai FBR sebesar 0,5317 yang memiliki risiko tertinggi terdapat pada sub faktor kelelahan kerja (0,0970). Melalui penelitian ini, faktor penyebab kesalahan perilaku kerja dapat diketahui dan diberikan rekomendasi untuk mengurangi risiko kesalahan perilaku kerja dengan meningkatkan perhatian terhadap kedua sub faktor tersebut. Untuk mengurangi risiko kesalahan perilaku dapat dilakukan dengan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai sub faktor yang memiliki risiko tinggi sebagai penyebab kecelakaan.   Abstracts Safety management is defined as organization, human resources, policies and interactive procedure aims to reduce the possibility of damage and loss in the workplace. Therefore, one of way to improve safety management in company’s workshop is by doing research to determine factors affecting the faulty behavior risk. Generally, the factors affecting work system safety have non-physical structures. Therefore, the real problem can be represented in a better way by using fuzzy numbers instead of numbers to evaluate these factors. In this study, a fuzzy AHP approach is proposed to determine the level of faulty behavior risk in work systems. The process of determining factors which affect Faulty Behavior Risk (FBR) starts on decision of respondent, creation of questionnaire, test on validation and realibility. The result concluded from questionnaire is used as input to process the data using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Method (FAHP). The questionnaire is created based on the concept of safety management system, consists of 4 factors: organizational factor, personal factor, work factor, and environmental factor. This  research  conducted at Bay 2.1 that produces  panel and Bay 7.1 that  produces  finning. The calculation of FBR on bay 2.1 shows that the result (0.4972) is lies on range of lower bound 0.25 and upper bound 0.50. Meanwhile, the calculation of FBR on bay 7.1 shows that the result (0.5317) is outside of upper bound, which means the risk of FBR is high. From the calculation result of FBR on bay 2.1, the highest sub-factor which contribute on FBR is insufficent preparation. Meanwhile, from the calculation of FBR on bay 7.1, the highest sub-factor which contribute on FBR is work fatigue (0,0970). This research shows that the factors which contribute on work faulty can be decided. Furthermore,a recommendation can be given in order to reduce the work faulty giving more attention to those 2 factors.

Abstract

Area perbaikan kontainer PT.X di depot Tanjung Batu yang dilakukan di luar ruanganmengakibatkan pekerja mendapatkan paparan langsung dari pantulan radiasi sinarmatahari dan panas dari mesin las. Iklim kerja panas meningkatkan beban kerja fisik pekerja yang dapat diukur melalui denyut nadi dan kelelahan kerja yang diukur denganwaktu reaksi rangsangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim kerjapanas dengan beban kerja dan kelelahan, serta mengevaluasi kalori ekstra dan waktuistirahat yang dibutuhkan, mengetahui perbedaan dari iklim kerja panas, beban kerja dankelelahan pada setiap waktu pengukuran dan perbaikan rekomendasi yang bisa dilakukan.Korelasi dan metode regresi linear digunakan untuk menentukan hubungan antara iklimkerja panas dengan beban kerja dan kelelahan. Iklim kerja panas (X) sebagai variabelprediktor sementara beban kerja (Y1) dalam bentuk % CVL dan kelelahan (Y2) dalambentuk waktu reaksi sebagai variabel respon yang menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Tesperbedaan dari iklim kerja panas, beban kerja dan kelelahan pada setiap saat pengukurandilakukan dengan One-Way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance).Hasil uji statistik dengan uji korelasi dan regresi linear diperoleh iklim kerja panas secarasignifikan berhubungan dengan peningkatan beban kerja (Sig. (0,000) <α (0,05)) dan iklimkerja panas secara signifikan berhubungan dengan peningkatan kelelahan (Sig. (0,000) <α(0,05)). Hasil ANOVA satu arah menunjukkan perbedaan antara iklim kerja di pengukuranpertama, kedua dan ketiga, serta beban kerja dan kelelahan (Sig. (0,000) <α (0,05)).Rekomendasi yang disarankan adalah penyediaan air isotonik dan tempat istirahat untukmendukung proses pemulihan, memberikan informasi kepada para pekerja tentangdampak bekerja di lingkungan yang panas dan penyediaan dan pengawasan penggunaanAPD untuk bagian pengelasan dan pemotongan. Abstract

Argon Purification Unit is a processing unit to purify the crude argon using hydrogen gas through an automatic machinery process. Based on the hazardous material and its automatic machinery process, the argon purification unit needs to be assessed for risk control consideration and business performance. This research proposed risk assessment of argon purification unit based on the failure modes using Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) with Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy-AHP) approach to minimize the risks and losses. In this research, FMECA is used to identify the potential failure modes, failure mechanism (causes), potential failure effects for each unit component and evaluate the risk by determining risk priority number (RPN). The RPN is the product of severity, occurrence, and detection variables. Then, Fuzzy-AHP is used to determine the weight of each variable based on its hierarchy. The fuzzy-AHP approach aims to increase validity and decrease expert judgment subjectivity in the risk assessment process for each failure mode by considering variables’ weight. The result of RPN is gained by multiplying each failure mode’s variables by considering the importance of variables. This research results weight of severity is 0.43, which is the highest of all variables. The highest RPN is 8.76, shown by the leaked joint of the argon compressor. This research indicates that the application of the fuzzy-AHP approach in FMECA can identify and evaluate the potential risk of the Argon Purification Unit validly and objectively, which provides the different weight of RPN variables.
