Abstract

Handbrake of a vehicle is the most important thing in a safety system in maintaining theposition of the vehicle in its stop position. The hand brakes function to brake or lock the rearwheels mechanically through the connecting rods and cables. The hand brake is also to parkthe vehicle on a down/climb road. In order to facilitate the ability of four-wheeled vehicles whenstopping on the ramp due to traffic jams, a special wheel locking system is used on the ramp. Ina one-way wheel shooting system when a four-wheeled vehicle stops on the ramp, the systemlocks the wheel when the wheel rotates slightly backwards without having to pull the handbrakelever. Therefore, this research aims to describe how the work of the one-way wheel lockingsystem when on the ramp of a four-wheeled vehicle. At the design of this system researchersmake prototype as a simulation system that is approaching similar to the shape of componentsof a four-wheeled vehicle. Researchers perform test system work when the prototype movesforward and backwards to find out if the system is capable of locking the wheels when the moveis backward and release the locking wheel when moving forward without using the hand brake.Using a one-way wheel locking system is expected to facilitate the driver in driving four-wheeledvehicles on the ramp without having to use the hand brake.

Abstract

Technological developments have been utilized in various fields of science, includingagriculture. Technology support in agriculture has been proven to be able to provide betterproduction results. In this study, an IoT-based agricultural environmental monitoring systemwas developed. The system was built using Raspberry Pi as a microcontroller and dataprocessing center, equipped with a moisture sensor and a DHT 11 temperature sensor. Thissystem was applied to a laboratory-scale strawberry farm. The system works automatically toregulate the temperature and humidity of the plant environment. If the temperature andhumidity of the strawberry plants do not meet the standards, the pump will automatically waterto keep the strawberry plants at the appropriate temperature and humidity. The system is alsoequipped with a notification feature so that strawberry farmers can obtain information throughtelegram media when the temperature of the strawberry plants is hot and the soil of thestrawberry plants is dry. This tool is also equipped with a webcam camera as an additionalfeature that serves to detect the level of ripeness of the strawberries in terms of the color of thefruit. The camera will detect the color of the strawberry, and if the strawberry is red, thestrawberry is categorized as ripe, and the farmer will get a notification via telegram in the formof a picture that the strawberry is ready to be harvested.

Abstract

Tanah longsor merupakan bencana alam yang tidak dapat dicegah. Di indonesia, frekuensi terjadinya tanah longsor masih cukup tinggi. Walaupun tidak dapat dicegah, namun upaya untuk meminimalisir kerugian yang diakibatkan oleh tanah longsor dapat dilakukan dengan memasang alat peringatan dini bahaya tanah longsor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang early warning system menggunakan ATmega328 dengan sensor hygrometer dan sensor piezoelectric. Sistem ini memiliki tiga status yaitu aman, waspada dan awas. Persentase kelembaban tanah dan pergerakan tanah dapat dipantau melalui smartphone dan pada situs www.thingspeak.com. Sistem akan mengirim sms ketika status longsor awas.Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan sistem yang dibuat sudah mampu mengirim data sensor ke web server ThingSpeak secara realtime, mengirim sms himbauan terkait status bahaya dan menghidupkan buzzer ketika status awas

Abstract

This study aims to compare VMware server virtualization technology and Xen server that simulates hardware into the software. In order to share loads can be balanced on both virtual servers, this research used HAproxy as Load Balancing which is implemented on Apache Web Server so performance from CPU usage side, memory and access speed from VMware and Xen server virtualization can be compared. By comparing these two models, it is expected to be used as a reference for selecting virtualization models for shared resource needs on one or more physical servers. From the results of testing in this study, it was found that the performance of VMware is better than Xen when viewed from the CPU usage. CPU usage in VMware is lower than Xen with 1.57% when handling one website and 1.58% when handling two websites. In terms of memory usage Xen Server is more efficient in memory usage when compared to VMware, Xen is more efficient memory of 29.11% and 34.84% for handling one and two websites when compared to VMware. While in terms of data access speed on Xen faster than VMware, which is about 42,132 Kbps.

Abstract

This study examines the power consumption of the Arduino-based rocket payload position tracking system. The system device consists of Arduino Mega 2560, Sensor Compass, Barometer Sensor, GPS (Global Positioning System) Sensor, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) character, Xbee-Pro 900HP, and two servo motors. Testing is done using a Digital Watt Meter tool that is able to read the voltage, current, and power used in the system. Test method by observing digital watt meter when the system runs tracking the rocket payload. Data retrieval interval is once every 10 minutes for 1 hour and calculates usage time, until the battery reaches the maximum usage limit. This research has been carried out successfully. When test performs on interval of 1 hour, the power usage by the system is 0.470 Ah until the battery voltage reaches 11.8 volts and the average power reaches 5.56 watts. Usage time of a Li-Po 1300 mAh battery is 3 hours 56 minutes until the battery voltage reaches 10.08 volts.

Abstract

Universities are currently implementing information technology to create bureaucratic reform. This is done because the demands of the era and information technology are increasingly growing to be more sophisticated. In higher education both management and service are supported by the role of information technology. In the application of information technology, it certainly must be supported by apparatus resources that have good performance. In higher education the application of information technology is used in managing performance and service management. The application of information technology in performance management will encourage universities to achieve their mission. While in the service process, the application of information technology will have a positive impact because services will be carried out efficiently, effectively and transparently. Information technology is applied to services to create a service that is fast, precise, efficient and professional. In addition, to create good governance in bureaucratic reform, information technology must be integrated so as to foster rapid information between units in higher education. Abstract

Employees become the spearhead of every Company, whether it is run the business on manufacture or service. The position and role of public government employees as an element of civil servant obligate them to provide fair public services. Refers to those facts, the performance of public government employees needs to be well managed. The algorithm C5.0 is one of the decision tree algorithm which can process the employees performance data become an input for decision-making. Based on evaluation result of 184 employees performance datas, there was a high accurracy data in level 96.08%. Due to that result, the algorithm system can be developed become e-performance system which can predict or giving an advice in order to decision-making processes whether for assigning promotion, ranking or giving performance allowances.

Abstract

Every year, the number of vehicles is increasing due to the development of the population, economy and improvement in living standard. Although there are parking lots, there are still many drivers who park their vehiclesin places where they can disrupt the smooth flow of traffic. The application of a parking reporting system uses the Google Maps API to mark areas and get coordinates for reporting illegal parking. The process of marking the parking ban area uses the polygon method with the number of roads as test data as many as 14 street names, 25 parking ban areas and 100 coordinate points (latitude, longitude). Every report on illegal parking has images and coordinates of location reporting that will automatically be validated by the system. The validation process by the system uses the JavaScript API Geometry library to get the results of whether a reported vehicle is in the parking ban area. Of the 12 coordinate points randomly placed with 6 positions insidethe parking ban area and 6 outside the parking ban area, the system is ableto validate the data correctly.

Abstract

Information in the digital era is growing very fast, seen from the rapid exchange of information. Information in the form of data or text is widely distributed and can be spread easily and quickly through the website. Generally a website uses website-based programming with the GET method where the GET method has a weakness of system data that can be seen in the access directory. This causes the data in the directory can be taken by unauthorized persons. Based on these problems the file sharing system provider was designed with URL encryption using the rijndael algorithm. The system provides services for sharing data and downloading data securely. Between the provider and recipient of the data each has an application that is an application to upload and an application to download and the admin is tasked with regulating the number of users of the application user. Existing data in the URL shared by the user upload application that has been in the form of an encrypted ciphertext with the shared rijndael algorithm can only be downloaded by the download application user. Each application has an authentication process where only registered users can access the application according to their respective roles. Research that has been done to get the results of encryption conducted on the upload application changes the URL into a ciphertext that can only be downloaded using a download application so that weaknesses in the GET method can be overcome. Abstract

The most frequently used instrument by College Indonesia nor the world as reference materials to evaluate performance and productivity based on website is through the database of appraisers, including World University namely Webometrics and 4ICU. There are a number of differences regarding the indicators used by the two ranking databases. The difference was certainly potent determination of ranking colleges that are also different. The purpose of this study is to devise a strategic plan policy that is capable of being a guide for local colleges in improving its quality to global competition. Based on the results of the calculation Spearman Rank, then retrieved the value of the koefisiensi correlation of 0,867 (very strong). Based on the correlation or relationship between indicators and 4ICU Webometrics rating, backlinks and the number of scientific publications is a factor that affects the ranking.
