Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve critical thinking of students' skills in Complex Analysis lectures through discovery learning combined with numbered head together type Cooperative Learning. This research uses a class action research approach. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. To obtain research data two types of research instruments were used. The research instrument in question is the observation sheet of the implementation of learning and observation guidelines as well as test questions on critical thinking skills at the end of the cycle. The results of this study indicate that The average score of critical thinking of students skills was 96.40 in the first cycle increased to 126.40 in the second cycle, but the average percentage of critical thinking of students skills increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely 62.25% in cycle I increased to 81.70% in cycle II.Keywords: critical thinking; discovery learning; numbered head together DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v8i2.pp299-312   Alternative Link - PDF

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop student worksheets based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) to improve the problem-solving abilities of class VIII students at MTs Hikmatusysyarief NW Salut Narmada for the 2020-2021 school year on two-variable linear equation systems. PBL-based LKPD (Problem Based Learning) is an LKPD that is arranged based on the phases of the PBL learning model. The development of this product aims to overcome the weaknesses in the teaching and learning process and overcome the weaknesses of students' problem-solving abilities. The research methodology used in developing PBL-based LKPD is 4D (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination). Data collection techniques using interview guidelines and questionnaires. The result of the research is a product in the form of LKPD based on PBL (Problem Based Learning) on ​​the material of a two-variable linear equation system. The product has been declared valid with very good criteria by two validators. Based on the results of a limited trial on the use of the developed product, it is known that the PBL-based LKPD can improve the problem-solving ability of class VIII students of MTs Hikmatusysyarief NW Salut Narmada.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine each character of Newman’s error and its percentage on student class XII MAN 2 Mataram in academic year 2018/2019. Students’ errors found through analyzing students answer in solving story question material of derivative. Based on the result of data analyzed and interview which has been done, it showed that no one of the students can answer all of the questions correctly. The population of this study was 215 students and the sample was 32 students. Analysis technique used for this study was descriptive analysis. Based on the result of the data, it can be found that reading error was on the lowest percentage that is 23%. Error in comprehension and transformation was on the medium percentage those are 44% and 49%. Error in processing skill was on the lower percentage that is 29%. The last is encoding error was on the highest percentage that is 78%.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kriteria masing-masing jenis kesalahan Newman dan persentasenya pada siswa kelas XII MAN 2 Mataram tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Kesalahan-kesalahan siswa diketahui melalui analisis terhadap jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita turunan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan wawancara yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada siswa yang dapat menjawab dengan benar semua soal yang telah diberikan. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 215 siswa dengan sampel penelitian 32 siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh, bahwa kesalahan membaca berada dalam kriteria sangat rendah dengan persentase 23%. Kesalahan memahami soal dan transformasi berada dalam kriteria sedang dengan persentase berturut-turut 44% dan 49%. Kesalahan keterampilan proses berada dalam kriteria rendah dengan persentase 29%. Dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban berada dalam kriteria sangat tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 78%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of the TTW cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students of SMPN 2 Batukiang Utara in the 2020/2021 academic year. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the posttest only control design with nonequivalent groups. The subjects in this study were class VIII A as the experimental class using the TTW learning model and VIII B as the Kontron class with the direct learning model. The data collection technique used a research instrument in the form of a description test. The statistical analysis used in this study is the t test and the effect size test. Based on the data analysis, the results of the posttest showed that the experimental class average was 62.28 and the control class was 51.25. This indicates that learning with the TTW cooperative model is better than direct learning. Data analysis with t-test at a significant level of 5% , namely 4.03≥1.67, and the effect size test with d = 1.17 (high). So it can be concluded that the type of cooperative learning model (TTW) affects the mathematics learning achievement of class VIII students of SMPN 2 Batukliang Utara in the 2020/2021 school year

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan  model pembelajaran berbasis portofolio yang dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa semester IV pada mata kuliah Review Curriculum and Content of Mathematics  di program studi pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Mataram tahun akademik 2011/2012. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam pembelajaran berbasis portofolio adalah: mengidentifikasi masalah, memilih masalah untuk kajian  kelas, mengumpulkan informasi, membuat portofolio kelas, penyajian portofolio dan refleksi pada pengalaman belajar dengan mengambil kesimpulan dan penilaian. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan sebanyak 3 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari siklus 1  ke siklus 3, yaitu 68,46; 78,65; dan 77,5. Ketuntasan belajar  dari siklus 1 sampai siklus 3 secara berturut-turut 87,5%; 100%; dan 95,83%. Skor rata-rata aktivitas belajar adalah 3,29 dan 3,42 dengan kategori aktif pada siklus 1,  3,94 dan 3,82 dengan kategori sangat aktif pada siklus 2 , dan pada siklus 3 skor rata-ratanya 4 dengan kategori sangat aktif. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis portofolio dengan optimal dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa semester IV pada mata kuliah Review Curriculum and Content of Mathematics. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran berbasis portofolio, aktivitas belajar, dan hasil belajar.      Abstract: This study aims to implement a portfolio-based learning model that can improve the activity and student learning achievements on Review Curriculum and Content of Mathematics courses of the fourth semester mathematics education in FKIP Mataram University academic year 2011/2012. The steps taken in the portfolio-based learning are: identifying the problem, selecting issues for classroom study, gather information, create a class portfolio, portfolio presentation and reflection on learning experiences to draw conclusions and evaluation. Action research was carried out in 3 cycles. The results showed that an increase in the average value from cycle 1 to cycle 3, which is 68.46; 78.65, and 77.5. Mastery learning from cycle 1 to cycle 3 respectively are 87.5%, 100% and 95.83%. In cycle 1, the mean score of students' learning activities is 3.29 and 3.42 with active category,. in cycle 2, the mean score is 3.94 and 3.82 with a very active category, and the third cycle, the mean scor is 4 with very active category. From these results it can be concluded that by applying the portfolio based learning models can enhance the activity and student learning achievements of the fourth semester on Curriculum Review and Content of Mathematics course.Keywords: portfolio-based learning, learning activities, and learning achievements.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Mataram melalui model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) pada mata kuliah Analisis Kompleks. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan, yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Tahap perencanaan terdiri dari kegiatan penyusunan rencana pembelajaran, instrumen penelitian, pada tahap tindakan meliputi kegiatan pemberian tindakan berupa pembelajaran sesuai dengan rancangan pembelajaran yang telah dibentuk sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS), tahap observasi meliputi kegiatan observasi terhadap aktivitas mahasiwa selama pembelajaran, khususnya pada saat diskusi dan keterlaksanaan tindakan serta hambatan-hambatan yang ditemui, dan tahap refleksi merupakan kegiatan refleksi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil observasi dan hasil penilain kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hal-hal yang menjadi perhatian pada tahap refleksi ini adalah penilaian terhadap keterlaksanaan tindakan, hambatan-hambatan yang muncul, serta kemajuan-kemajuan yang telah dicapai. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian digunakan dua jenis instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pedoman observasi serta soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa pada siklus I adalah sebesar 68,56 meningkat menjadi 83,00 pada siklus II. Rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah sebesar 21,06 %. The purpose of this study is to improve the problem solving skills of Mathematics Education students Fakulty of Teacher Training and Education University of Mataram through Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model in Complex Analysis course. This study uses a classroom action research approach. Each cycle consists of several stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. At the planning stage consists of the activities of the preparation of the lesson plans, the preparation of research instruments, the action stage includes activities in the form of teaching activities in accordance with the design of learning that has been formed in accordance with the principles of learning Creative Problem Solving (CPS), the observation stage includes activity observation of activity students during the lesson, especially during the discussion and implementation of the actions and obstacles encountered, and the reflection stage is a reflection of the implementation of learning based on the results of observation and the results of assessment of problem-solving skills. Matters of concern at this stage of reflection are an assessment of the implementation of actions, constraints arising, and the progress that has been achieved. Two types of research instruments were applied to obtain research data. The research instruments are observation sheets of instructional implementation and observation guidance as well as test problem solving abilities. The results of this study indicate that the average ability of problem solving students in cycle I is equal to 68.56 increased to 83.00 in cycle II. The average increase in problem solving ability is 21.06 %.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pembelajaran online Google classroom dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif ex-post facto. Besar sampel penelitian ini adalah 28 mahasiswa yang memprogram mata kuliah strategi pembelajaran matematika kelas D semester III tahun 2020. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik tes dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi product moment dan analisis hubungan ganda. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada mata kuliah strategi pembelajaran matematika, hubungan antara X1 dan X2 dan Y memiliki hubungan yang signifikan yaitu pembelajaran Google classroom dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Ini bisa dilihat melalui Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 <0,05 (5%), koefisien korelasi Pearson 0,720.

Abstract

This Research aims to know about the reasoning ability and mathematic representation ability to the results of mathematic lesson in students grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Batulayar year academic 2019/2020. This research used quantitative approach with ex post facto research type. The population of this research is the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batulayar. In determining the sample, probability sampling technique with the type of cluster sampling was used. The sample in this research is the students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Batulayar amounted to 22 students. Data analysis used was multiple linear regression analysis. From the result of the data analysis we found the significant influence between reasoning ability and representative mathematic’s ability to the mathematics learning result of mathematic lesson in students grade viii smp negeri 1 batulayar year academic 2019/2020 with Fcount = 78,812 > F(2,19) = 3,52. The data we wroute as the same regration that Ŷ=-2,452+0,466X1+0,575X2. The equation show us that reasoning ability and the representative mathematic’s ability increase 1 unit and the learning result will increase to 0,466 from reasoning mathematics ability plus 0,575 representative mathematic’s ability.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mistakes made by the VIIA grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Mataram in solving story questions about the set material in terms of learning achievement. With the research subject, namely 6 students of class VIIA which has been selected based on learning achievement. This research is a descriptive qualitative type with research instruments in the form of written test sheets and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique was carried out by the students completed the questions using the Polya analysis or not, if using the Polya analysis, the stages were correct or not, if using the Polya analysis with the correct steps, the students' answers would be analyzed using the Polya analysis. The results of the study were at the stage of understanding the problem, the subject made mistakes 16.66% with a small category, at the stage of choosing the right problem-solving strategy made an error 20% with a small category, at the stage of solving the problem subject made a mistake 51.66% with the high category and at the stage of re-checking subjects made mistakes 64,58% with the very high category.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian yang dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang profil argumentasi mahasiswa Matematika FKIP Unram dalam melakukan pembuktian matematik. Tulisan ini hanya fokus pada data responden dalam mengembangkan argumen pembuktian pada topik Analisis Kompleks. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyajikan argumen pembuktian yang valid. Dari 62 responden dalam membuktikan dua pernyataan matematik, diketahui bahwa hanya 24.2% argumen valid, sedangkan sisanya tidak valid, bahkan 14.5% diantaranya tidak menjawab. Kelemahan argumen yang dikembangkan diakibatkan oleh kombinasi antara tidak tepatnya Data maupun Warrant yang digunakan.
