Abstract

Abstract:  The aims of the research was to determine the effect of learning models on mathematics learning achievement viewed from gender and the student learning styles. The learning models compared were SQ3R, SQ4R, and direct instruction. This was a quasi experimental research using 3x2x3 factorial designs. The hypotheses testing used three ways ANOVA with unbalance cell. This research concludes that: (1) SQ4R learning provided better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R and direct instruction, while direct instruction provided better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R; (2) girls had better mathematics learning achievement than boys; (3) the students with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning style, there was no difference in mathematics learning achievement; (4a) boys taught with SQ4R had better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R and direct instruction, boys taught with SQ3R had mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction; (4b) girls taught with SQ4R and direct instruction had better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R. Girls taught with SQ4R had mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction; (5a) the students with visual learning style who were taught SQ4R had better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R. the students with visual learning style who were taught SQ4R had mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction, while students with visual learning style who were taught SQ3R provided mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction; (5b) the students with auditory learning style who were taught SQ4R had better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R and direct instruction. Students with auditory learning style who were taught SQ3R had mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction; (5c) the students with kinesthetic learning style who were taught SQ4R had better mathematics learning achievement than SQ3R. Students with kinesthetic learning style who were taught SQ3R had mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction. Students with kinesthetic learning style who were taught SQ4R had mathematics learning achievement as good as direct instruction; (6) in the model of learning SQ3R, SQ4R, and direct instruction, not only boys but also girls with visual learning style had  mathematics learning achievement as good as they with auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles.Keywords: SQ3R, SQ4R, Gender, Learning Style, Mathematics Learning Achievement

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the phenomenon that is in junior high school of state 9 Semarang which shows that the students who have empathy in social interactions is low. The purpose of this study to determine the efforts and success in increasing empathy in the social interaction of students through experiential learning approach to group dynamics. This research is action research guidance and counseling. Subjects were 10 students who had low empathy in social interaction. Data collection methods used were psychological scales and observation. Wilcoxon test results obtained thitung 55.0 > 8.0 TTable or imply Ha accepted and Ho rejected. These results demonstrate empathy in students social interaction can be improved after getting the group dynamic experiential learning approach. Empathy in the social interaction of students before gaining experiential learning group dynamics approach to the low category 51.19%. After obtaining the dynamics of group experiential learning approach with 81.96% higher category. After the I cyclus increased empathy in social interactions by 14.93% from the initial conditions. After the II cyclus of empathy in social interactions increased by 15.84% of cyclus I. In addition, students progressing better behavior seen from the increasing indicators sensitive to others, trust, understanding, awareness of others, openness, social contacts, and social communication.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Farmasis remaja memiliki peran dalam pembangunan kesehatan. Salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah penerapan swamedikasi. Tujuan: Pentingnya peran farmasis remaja dalam swamedikasi mendorong dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian dengan tema pengenalan peran farmasis remaja dalam swamedikasi. Metode: Peserta diberikan pretest dan selanjutnya diberi intervensi berupa materi umum terkait swamedikasi, diskusi dan praktek swamedikasi bersama tutor. Media yang digunakan berupa materi dalam bentuk power point, modul dan alat peraga. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan melakukan posttest pada peserta yang sama. Hasil: Hasil pretest menunjukan bahwa hanya 14 peserta (20,29%) yang memiliki pengetahuan baik, sedangkan 50 peserta (72,46%) berpengetahuan cukup dan 5 peserta (7,25%) memiliki pengetahuan kurang. Nilai rata-rata hasil pretest adalah 57,10. Setelah diberi intervensi, hasil posttest menunjukan bahwa 66 peserta (95,65%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, sedangkan hanya sejumlah 3 peserta (4,35%) yang masih memiliki pengetahuan cukup. Nilai rata-rata posttes adalah 85,60. Kesimpulan: Adanya peningkatan nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian intervensi dalam program pengenalan farmasis remaja dalam swamedikasi yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa SMK Pelita Bangsa Yogyakarta tentang swamedikasi. Perlu dilakukan penelitian sejenis dengan jangka waktu antara pretest dengan posttest lebih dari 1 bulan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pengaruh perceived organizational support, human relation, kompetensi, dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk Kantor Cabang Utama Batam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 147 orang karyawan, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin sehingga mendapatkan responden berjumlah 108 orang karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh perceived organizational support berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, human relation berpengaruh tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, kompetensi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. perceived organizational support, human relation, kompetensi, dan disiplin kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT. Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk Kantor Cabang Utama Batam.
