Abstract

This study aims to determine that the addition of Shrimp Waste Flour (SWF) can increase the productivity of mojosari ducks. The research was conducted at the mojosari laying duck farm in the Butuh village, District of Purworejo. The experimental livestock used were 60 mojosari ducks with 24 weeks years old, the cattle were placed in 20 colony cage plots, each cage plot filled with 3 ducks. The materials used are Shrimp Waste Flour (SWF) and complete feed. The feed treatment given to the ducks was as follows; P0, P1, P2, P3, P4 containing 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8% SWF, respectively. The method used in this study is the experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications in order to obtain 20 experimental units. Parameters observed were consumption of dry mater and crude protein, drinking consumption, average daily growth of duck, hen day product, conversion and feed efficiency. The data obtained were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test, if there is a difference, then the Duncan New Range Test (DMRT) test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that shrimp waste flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on consumption dry mater as much as 128.04 g; 121.47 g; 134.96 g and 135.66 g. Consumption crude protein had a significant effect (P<0.05) as much as 14.29%; 14.88%; 15.47%; 10.06% and 16.65%. Drinking water consumption had a significant effect (P<0.05) in the amount of 0.78 l; 0.83 l; 0.93 l; 1.1 l and 1.24 l. Average daily growth of duck had unsignificant effect (P>0.05) of 2.23 g; 2.18 g; 1.76 g; 0.94 g and 1.52 g. Hen day product had unsignificant effect (P>0.05) with a percentage of 49.7%; 53.87%; 54.76%; 57.74% and 49.41%. The feed conversion value had unsignificant effect (P>0.05) with a value of 4.53; 4.05; 4.05; 4.51 and 4.24. Feed efficiency was unsignificantly different (P>0.05) with a percentage of 20.74%; 23.23%; 23.58%; 23.12% and 20.86%. Shrimp waste flour had a significant on consumption of dry mater, crude protein and drinking water, but has unsignificant on average daily growth of duck, hen day product, conversion and feed efficiency. Abstract

ABSTRAKInformasi sudah menjadi  kebutuhan masyarakat saat ini. Papan  informasi  di desa  sangat penting  karena dapat memudahkan perangkat desa untuk memberikan informasi desa dan sebagai tempat berkumpul masyarakat desa sejenak untuk membaca bersama.  Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui manfaat dan penempatan dalam pengadaan papan informasi. Metode kegiatan berupa pengadaan papan informasi. Pelaksanaan meliputi Tahap persiapan, Tahap pelaksanaan dan  Tahap  evaluasi.  Hasil kegiatan ini adalah pada tahap persiapan dengan memohon ijin dan diskusi dengan bapak kepala desa. Tahap pelaksanaan adalah pembelian bahan perlengkapan pembuatan papan informasi. Membuat desain tulisan, memotong kertas dan pengecatan. Setelah dicat maka dikeringkan. Papan informasi yang telah jadi diserahkan ke kepala dusun dan dilakukan pemasangan di pos kamling. Untuk melihat efektifitas penyuluhan dilakukan evaluasi. Semua responden menyatakan kegiatan pengadaan papan informasi ini  menarik. Semua responden menyatakan ada papan informasi desa sebelumnya. Papan informasi namun keberadaan papan informasi  sebelum ini  sebagian besar menyatakan mungkin terawat. Semua responden merasakan manfaat  papan informasi tersebut. Penempatan papan informasi desa terlihat jelas. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah tahap persiapan dan pelaksanaan berjalan dengan lancar. Pada tahap evaluasi didapatkan penduduk desa tertarik pada kegiatan ini walaupun sebelumnya sudah ada namun keberadaannya sebagian besar ragu tentang kondisinya. Penduduk desa merasakan manfaat adanya papan informasi. Penempatan  an warna papan informasi sudah sesuai. Saran pada kegiatan ini adalah diharapkan penduduk desa memanfaatkan dan merawat papan informasi desa.  Kata kunci: papan informasi; desa; manfaat; penempatan. ABSTRACTInformation has become a need of today's society. The result of this activity is the preparation stage by asking for permission and discussing with the village head. The implementation stage of purchasing materials for information-making equipment. Create writing, paper and painting designs. After painting, it is dried. Information boards that have been submitted to the head of the hamlet and installed at the kamling post. To see the effectiveness of counseling conducted an evaluation. All respondents stated that the procurement of information boards was interesting. All respondents stated that there was a previous village information board. Presence information boards but the previous information boards mostly said it might be well maintained. All respondents felt the benefits of the information board. Placement of village information boards is clearly visible. The conclusion of this activity is that the preparation and implementation stages went smoothly. At the evaluation stage, it was found that the villagers were interested in this activity, although previously there were some doubts about its condition. Villagers feel the benefits of having information boards. The placement and color of the information board is appropriate. Suggestions for this activity are that villagers use and maintain village information boards. Keywords: formation board; village; benefits; placement.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pelaku usaha lanting desa Jetis Purworejo yang belum memiliki label sesuai dengan syarat yang ditentukan oleh peraturan pemerintah. Label sebagai identitas produk belum didesain dengan baik menyebabkan daya saing  lanting Jetis rendah. Pelaku usaha menjual secara curah dengan berat 5kg dan label hanya stiker atau kertas yang dimasukkan dalam kemasan, selanjutnya lanting dijual eceran oleh pedagang besar dengan merk baru. Akibatnya produsen lanting tidak bisa mempromosikan secara luas dan konsumen kesulitan mengenali produsen lanting Jetis. Permasalahan terjadi karena pelaku usaha belum memahami pentingnya label dan fokus pada strategi penjualan saja.Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat adalah memberikan pemahaman pelaku usaha lanting tentang labelling dan memberikan pendampingan pembuatan desain label produk lanting. Metode pengabdian masyarakt yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Jumlah Mitra adalah 5 pelaku usaha yang merupakan anggota klaster keluarga Bapak Sodikun. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa Mitra mendapatkan tambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang labelling, komponen yang harus ditulis dalam label, dan sangat antusias dengan adanya pendampingan desain label. Semua Mitra mendapatkan desain label yang baru dan 1 mitra mendapatkan desain kemasan baru yang marketable. Semua pelaku usaha mendapatkan pendampingan pengurusan legalitas usaha yang berguna untuk melengkapi komponen dalam labelling lanting. Mitra berharap ada pendampingan yang intensif agar wawasan dalam menjalankan usaha lebih baik dan bisa memperluas pasar. Kata kunci: labelling; lanting; UMKM ABSTRACTThis community service activity is motivated by the problem of lanting business actors in Jetis Purworejo village who do not yet have a label in accordance with the conditions determined by government regulations. The label as a product identity has not been designed properly, causing Jetis' lanting to have low competitiveness. Business actors sell in bulk with a weight of 5 kg and labels are only stickers or paper that are included in the packaging, then the lanting is sold at retail by wholesalers with new brands. As a result, lanting producers cannot promote widely and consumers have difficulty recognizing Jetis lanting producers. The problem occurs because business actors do not understand the importance of labels and focus on sales strategies only. The purpose of community service is to provide an understanding of lanting business actors about labeling and provide assistance in designing lanting product labels. The community service method used is counseling and mentoring. The number of partners is 5 business actors who are members of Mr. Sodikun's family cluster. The results of community service activities show that Partners gain additional insight and knowledge about labeling, the components that must be written in labels, and are very enthusiastic about label design assistance. All partners get a new label design and 1 partner gets a new marketable packaging design. All business actors get assistance in managing business legality which is useful to complete the components in lanting labeling. Partners hope that there will be intensive assistance so that they have better insight in running a business and expand the market. Keywords: labelling; lanting; SMEs

Abstract

Telur ayam mudah mengalami kerusakan, untuk menghambat keruskan telur dengan cara menutup pori pori kerabang telur. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui lama simpan telur ayam ras yang dikeas dalam plastic warp terhadap kualitas fisik. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL.  Kualitas fisik diamati pada hari ke 0, 7, 14, 21, 28, dan 35. Parameter kualitas fisik meliputi kualitas fisik eksternal dan kualitas fisik internal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat telur, panjang telur, lebar telur, dan indeks telur tidak berbeda nyata terhadap kulitas fisik eksternal telur yang dikemas pada kemasan plastic warp. Indeks putih telur dan indeks putih telur menurun dengan bertambahnya lama simpan. Nilai pH putih telur dan pH kuning telur  meningkat dengan bertambahnya lama simpan. Warna telur meningkat dengan meningkatnya umur simpan. Nilai Haugh Units meningkat dengan bertambahnya umur. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan bahwa kualitas ekternal telur ayam ras dalam kemasan plastic warp dalam suhu ruang tidak berbeda nyata, sedangkan kualitas internal dengan lama penyimpanan pada suhu ruang semakin menurun pada hari ke 14.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the total acid and organoleptic properties of yogurt added with cempedak fruit using the lactic acid bacteria Streptococcus thermophillus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, and Lactobacillus acidhophillus. The treatment given was the addition of cempedak fruit pulp with concentrations of 0% (P0), 5% (P1), 10% (P2), and 15% (P3). The research used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The data obtained were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test, and if there were differences then the Duncan New Range Test (DMRT) was continued. Organoleptic tests were carried out using 50 slightly trained panelists. Organoleptic tests consist of hendonic quality and preferences (hedonics). Hedonic quality consists of the quality of color, taste, aroma, texture. The parameters of the research were total acid and organoleptics properties. The results showed that the addition of cempedak fruit had a significant effect (P<0.05) on total acid and organoleptic properties. The organoleptic test of the yogurt that the panelists liked most was yogurt with the addition of cempedak fruit pulp at the 15% level.

Abstract

The Kacang goat was a goat native to Indonesia which has high adaptability to local natural conditions and has a very high reproductive power. Developing a livestock business was by studying the performance of goats. The aim of the research was to determine the performance of Kacang Goats, body weight and body size index of Kacang Goats. The research material was Kacang goats. The research variables were horn length, ear length, chest circumference, chest width, shoulder height, chest circumference, body length, tail length, leg height, body weight and body size index (IUT). The results showed that the horn length was 9 ± 1.35 cm (females), 6.25 ± 1.60 cm (males). Ear length 22.75 ± 0.85 (females), 21.00 ± 1.29 (males). Chest circumference 71.25 ± 2.72 cm (females) and 68.75 ± 1.97 cm (males). Chest width 19.5 ± 2.59 cm (females), 16.00 ± 1.08 cm (males). Tail length 22.75 ± 0.85 cm (females) 21.00 ± 1.29 cm (males). Leg length (females) 51 ± 3.18 cm, 46.25 ± 1.65 cm (males). The body weight of female livestock was 35.73 ± 3.16 kg, while for male livestock it was 30.04 ± 1.64 kg. The body size index for female goats was 0.99 ± 0.05 and for female males was 0.93 ± 0.04. The conclusion that the performance of female Kacang goats was greater than the performance of female Kacang goats includes: horn length, ear length, chest circumference, chest width, body length, tail length and leg length. The body weight and body size index of female goats are higher than male goats.

Abstract

Ayam KUB merupakan jenis ayam kampung dengan galur baru yang dihasilkan Badan Litbang Pertanian, Ciawi, Bogor. Ayam KUB mempunyai kelebihan yaitu tahanan terhadap flu burung, pada pemeliharaan intensif dengan diberi ransum komersil mampu menghasilkan daging secara cepat dalam waktu kurang dari 70 hari. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk transfer informasi tentang beternak ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak anggota Asosiai Pangan Industri Rumah Tangga (ASPIRTARI) Kec. Kemiri Kabupaten Purworejo. Metode kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan penyuluhan adalah: Pra pelaksaan penyuluhan, Pelaksanaan penyuluhan pemeliharaan ayam KUB dan Evaluasi penyuluhan. Hasil kagiatan ini adalah: Pra Pelaksaan Penyuluhan dilakukan koordinasi dengan ketua ASPIRTARI. Hasil koordinasi adalah direncanakan adanya penyuluhan tentang pemeliharaan ayam kampung unggul Balitnak. Pelaksanaan penyuluhan dilakukan presentasi selama 60 menit. Presentasi menyampaikan tentang: Penggenalan ayam KUB, Perkandangan ayam KUB, dan Pemberian pakan ayam KUB. Setelah dilakukan presentasi dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab. Berdasarkan kegiatan penyuluhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan menambah pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak. Saran dalam penyuluhan pemeliharaan ayam KUB dapat diterapkan dan diusahakan secara komersil. Agar kegiatan pelatihan yaitu pemeliharaan ayam KUB ini tetap berjalan perlu ada pendampingan.
