Abstract

The smooth process of manufacturing and production requires the operating machine in good condition. If the machine breakdown happened then the production process will be stopped, the production target was not achieved, due date can not be met. So that the costumer will become dissatisfied, and so on. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the work system of the injection department. Also reduce the waiting time for repair the broken machine at existing production system. This study propose the method of modeling and simulation for examine the working system object using the simulation software of Arena. Based on the experiment, it can be seen that the simulation model repair in scenario 1 give impact on the level of activity of technicians up to 20.2% without any reduction in processing time. From the simulation model, the scenario 2 give  impact of changes in the levels of technicians  activity decline by 5.56% and can decrease the processing time up to 8.33%.

Abstract

So that the costumer will become dissatisfied, and so on. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the work system of the injection department. Also reduce the waiting time for repair the broken machine at existing production system. Abstract

Various treatments were carried out to produce biodiesel optimally. This research was conducted to process used cooking oil (UCO) into biodiesel. UCO with high FFA has saponification in the transesterification reaction. Transesterification experiment UCO with % FFA 4.261 and acid number 8.42 mg-KOH/g produced saponification. This experiment was carried out at different temperatures, speeds, and times. It is necessary to carry out initial esterification treatment. Simultaneously the biodiesel synthesis process is carried out by esterification and transesterification processes. The esterification process with 3%wt H2SO4 catalyst, 1:6 molar ratio of oil and alcohol with temperature treatment of 50 °C, speed of 300 rpm for 60 minutes can reduce % FFA in UCO to 2.115 and acid number 4.208 mg-KOH/g. The transesterification process using a NaOH catalyst of 0.5% wt, the molar ratio of oil and alcohol 1:6 with a temperature treatment of 60°C, a speed of 400 rpm for 60 minutes, can produce biodiesel with an acid number of 0.28 mg-KOH/g and 0.141 of % FFA according to SNI 7182-2015 standard. These results after purification on biodiesel.

Abstract

Abstract In the industrial competition, the service field also the manufacturing field  has experienced rapid development.  Each company compete to win the competition to gain market share. The high level of product defects is a serious problem in the Meshindo Alloy Wheel Corporation. It is caused by the complexity of the types of defects that occur in the process. Therefore it is necessary for continuous improvement effort to reduce the rate  of defects that have occurred in the process. This research has implemented the method of QCC (Quality Control Circle) with eight steps to improve quality. The method of QCC used a tool called the seven tools. We propose an improvement plan within a matrix plan improvements through brainstorming process. Our research found that the biggest number of CTQ (Critical To Quality) is the  flaw leaked. Then we do a search the root cause of the problem through a process of brainstorming between QCC teams and the management of company.  We found that the most dominant cause of the defect is the low reliability of the machine,  the lack of rigor operator and low quality of material. In the Pareto diagram , it appears that the largest percentage of leak defect, approximately 45.9 %. The improvement is only performed on the  LT machine (machine of tester of leakage). After repair of the LT machine, the percentage of defects leaking down from 1.86 % to 1.09 %. So there is a decrease of 0.77 % defect rate.

Abstract

Pemerintah menganggap penting sektor usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Dukungan besar pemerintah terhadap sektor UMKM karena besarnya potensi dan kontribusi sektor UMKM bagi perekonomian Indonesia, khususnya pada salah satu UMKM sektor pemeliharaan peternakan susu sapi perah di Kabupaten Gresik. Namun, mayoritas UMKM tersebut hanya sebatas mengumpulkan (pengepul) susu sapi segar hasil pemerahan kemudian langsung dijual ke pabrik pengolahan susu sapi. Namun, tidak semua susu sapi perah yang dihasilkan oleh UMKM dapat dijual ke pabrik. Bahkan, susu sapi segar yang tidak terjual ke pabrik kadang dijual dengan harga murah bahkan sering terbuang. Apalagi, UMKM juga mengalami kendala masih rendahnya kapasitas produksi pengolahan susu sapi menjadi produk olahan susu sapi segar. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu rancangan spesifikasi teknis mesin pasteurisasi yang mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi produk olahan susu sapi segar bagi UMKM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana menghasilkan suatu rancangan spesifikasi mesin pasteurisasi susu sapi otomatis yang mampu meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan menghasikan produk yang higienis. Rancangan mesin pasteurisasi susu sapi otomatis yang sesuai untuk kebutuhan sektor UMKM ini masih jarang dilakukan. Oleh karena menjadi hal yang penting dan mendesak untuk merancang spesifikasi mesin pasteurisasi susu sapi otomatis menggunakan metode quality function deployment (QFD). Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan suatu alternatif rancangan spesifikasi mesin pasteurisasi susu sapi otomatis yang berkapasitas 7 liter per jam dan higienis. Dampaknya adalah sebuah rancangan spesifikasi mesin pasteurisasi susu sapi otomatis yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat mesin pasteurisasi susu sapi segar aneka rasa yang bermanfaat bagi UMKM Kata kunci: produktivitas, pasteurisasi susu sapi, quality function deployment, QFD

Abstract

Madura Island besides producing salt, it turns out that it is also the producer of the craft written batik. One of the regions that have batik-producing SMEs is in Tanjung Bumi Bangkalan Madura District. In Tanjung Bumi Subdistrict there are very many batik craftsmen with a distinctive bird motif. However, although there are many batik SMEs, there are also many craftsmen who close their businesses due to having several problems in their business. One of the problems is not having a good marketing concept and not being able to utilize information technology through the internet in marketing activities. This can be seen from the sales activities that still rely on shops and also just waiting for suppliers or buyers from outside the city such as from Surabaya. With the competition of batik sales outside the city, such as Surabaya, causing the number of buyers from Surabaya is currently decreasing. The decline finally drastically impacted the decline in sales of Tanjung Bumi written batik. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and insight into designing 4P marketing mix concepts (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) and determining STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) and making SME partners begin to take advantage of internet technology for online advertising. The method used in this activity is to train to create marketing concepts and train the use of online media and social media to advertise. The result of this activity is that partners have the knowledge of designing marketing concepts and are able to innovate in marketing activities using information technology with the internet on social media

Abstract

This activity program aims to increase the efficiency of marketing business management SMEs batik Tulis in Sidoklumpuk village, Jetis Lemahputro, Sidoarjo District. The targets to be achieved for this program, include: 1) creating online commercial sales system to expand access marketing batik product to foreign countries, as well as providing convenience for customers as well as SMEs in conducting business transactions. 2) Creating logo design for the product packaging common local wisdom of kampong batik Jetis to strengthen the brand. So that SMEs are expected to develop into business to meet customer demand and survive in a competitive business climate. The utilization of e-commerce web for SMEs batik around Jetis. Jetis Batik can be a characteristic of great micro business in Jetis Village. The local government is expected to provide support for the success of the SMEs independently initiated programs collectively.

Abstract

UKM Kue Pudak Kelurahan Lumpur Kecamatan Lumpur merupakan salah satu lokasi penjualan kue pudak yang terkenal di Gresik. UKM tersebut berproduksi selama pulah tahun. Walaupun beroperasi lama tetapi masih memiliki permasalahan. Pemasalahan produksi tidak adanya proses yang menggunakan mesin Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) sehingga waktu proses produksi kurang efisien terutama pada proses pengadukan bahan baku menjadi adonan. Hasil produk masih belum memiliki variasi ukuran isi yang sesuai selera konsumen. Pada aspek manajemen yaitu manajemen pemasaran yang masih belum terkonsep dengan baik sehingga belum memetakan segmentasi, taget, dan posisi produk terhadap produk pesaing. Terkait manajemen mutu dimana saat ini mitra belum sepenuhnya memperhatikan mutu produk dari segi higienis. Solusi yang kami tawarkan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu membantu merancang desain mesin TTG pada proses pengadukan bahan baku menjadi adonan agar lebih waktu produksi efisien. Kemudian juga dilatih membuat variasi produk dengan ukuran sesuai selera konsumen dan sesuai segmentasi konsumennya. Terkait aspek manajemen dilatih merancang konsep marketing dengan menentukan marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) dan Segmentasi, Target, Positioning (STP). Sedangkan pada manajemen mutu, mitra akan dilatih menggunakan peralatan sarung tangan, masker, dan menjaga kebersihan dalam produksinya dan juga akan dibuatkan standar operation procedure (SOP) produksi yang bersih agar mutu produk menjadi higienis.

Abstract

Mitra kegiatan PPM ini yaitu UMKM krupuk Puli terletak di Dusun Kaliwaru Desa Kedung Rejo Kecamatan Jabon Kabupaten Sidoarjo. UMKM Krupuk Puli memiliki beberapa permasalahan yaitu sulitnya menjemur krupuk saat musim hujan sehingga produksi turun. Masalah berikutnya yaitu pengadaan bahan baku tanpa rencana sehingga pembelian seringkali mendadak. Kemudian pada manajemen pemasaran mitra tidak memiliki alternatif memasarkan produk karena selalu mengandalkan pesanan dari para tengkulak yang datang ke rumah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu meningkatkan efektivitas produksi dan perbaikan manajemen usaha.Metode penyelesaian masalah yang diberikan pada mitra yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan dan pendampingan yang diberikan yaitu terkait pembuatan perencanaan bahan baku yaitu membuatkan daftar rencana kebutuhan bahan baku per 6 bulan. kemudian untuk manajemen pemasaran yaitu membuatkan konsep pemasaran dengan marketing mix 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) & STP (Segmentation, Targetting, Positioning). Selain itu dibuatkan iklan online melalui akun media sosial untuk memperluas jangkauan pemasaran dan sebagai alternatif pemasaran selain melalui tengkulak. Kemudian mitra dibuatkan desain mesin oven pengering krupuk saat terjadi musim hujan. Hasil dari kegiatan yaitu mitra sudah mampu membuat perencanaan bahan baku yang sistematis, mampu membuat konsep marketing offline maupun online. Kemudian mitra telah memiliki desain mesin oven pengering krupuk yang dapat diaplikasikan saat musim hujan.
