Abstract

The concept of the nature of Islamic education in the perspective of the Koran and Hadith from the literature review that was carried out, there were several findings in the research including; First, etymologically, Fitrah means al-khilqah (instinct, nature) and al-thabī'ah (nature, character, character) which Allah swt created in humans. Fitrah is also taken from the word al-fathr which means shaq (split). From this meaning, other meanings are born, including creator or event. Second, all human nature in the form of the potential for piety, apart from trying to grow and develop, must and need to be educated and directed. Because the influence of parents (representing the environment in the form of association, reading, education, and so on) can affect humans to be bad, evil and so on. Third, if the child has a basic nature that is seen as an evil trait, educational efforts are to educate, direct and focus on eliminating and replacing or at least reducing the elements of the crime. Fourth, humans are blessed with two extraordinary potentials, namely reason ('aql) and free will (nafs). It turns out that these two potentials can be the cause of an advantage that is difficult to imagine, but at the same time can be a very fatal weakness as well.

The study of this research is literature, where the author concludes that a safe heart is a heart that is clean from the filling of other gods besides Allah with lots of istighfar, so that there is no defilement of the heart because of greed that is born to glorify Allah's creation, and to deify it. Teachers in the perspective of Islamic education are people who are responsible for the development of all potential students. If we look functionally the word teacher can be interpreted as a giver or distributor of knowledge, skills. A teacher has a sense of responsibility towards his duties as a teacher. As said by Imam Ghazali that "the task of educators is to perfect, clean, perfect and bring the human heart to Taqarrub to Allah SWT. While students are creatures who are in the process of development and growth according to their respective natures, where they really need consistent guidance and direction towards the optimal point of their natural abilities. Abstract

The Panji Salatin manuscript is one of the most important cultural heritages in the history of the Kutai Kartanegara sultanate. The manuscript, which was born during the reign of Prince Aji Sinum Panji Mendapa (1635-1650), contains the sultanate laws and became the most decisive beginning in the administration of the next government system. This study aims to describe and explain the value of local wisdom contained in the Panji Salatin manuscript. This research is based on philological reflection with a phenomenological, historical approach to interpreting the text. The source of the data used is a copy of the Manuscript Law on the Banner of Salatin, which is stored in the Mulawarman Tenggarong Museum, Kutai Kartanegara. The results of the analysis of the text units contained in the Panji Salatin manuscript show that: 1). religion and culture become sources of norms and ethics that coexist (syariat menaiki-adat menuruni), then the style of religion becomes open to culture 2). The king/Sultan must be a symbol of protection for the people, and the people must be loyal to the king/Sultan, then the rule of “people’s religion is the king’s religion” 3). The king/sultan and his subordinates are both subject to a system of deliberation and consensus with the ulama. All have equal standing before the law. This principle of unity and togetherness contains a very strong relationship with traditional cultural ceremonies, namely “erau” as a party, not only for the people but even as a symbol of justification for the power of the sultan/king.

Abstract

Democratic character is one of the characters proclaimed by the ministry of national education in order to form generation that is inclusive, respects differences and communicative in order to live the life in a dignified manner. In line with this, democratic attitude is an attitude that is upheld by Islam. The term democratic is indeed not textually contained in Qur'an, however, democratic values are implied in verses of dialogues that are built between parents and children. The democratic values in the parent-child dialogue verses are reflected in communicative attitudes between individuals, the right to express opinions, openness to differences and equality. This research is a type of library research with thematic approach. Using documentation technique to collect data, the collected data then analyzed using the content analysis method. Then, the data is verified using the source triangulation method. Based on the research, sixteen verses were included in the criteria for parent-child dialogue in Qur'an. And the dialogue in these verses is built on democratic principles which are reflected in communicative attitudes between individuals, the right to express opinions, openness to differences and equality. This confirms that Qur'an accommodates the principles of democratic character education through the media of parent-child dialogue.
