Abstract

Kailan (Brassica alboglabra) are vegetables that beneficial to human health because it can help digestion, neutralize acidity and prevent disease. Kailan cultivation is closely related to fertilization and cultivation technical factors. One of fertilizers that can provide nutrients for plants kailan is a liquid fertilizer. Agricultural land is increasingly narrow lead farmers, especially those living in urban areas should make efficient use of land in order to achieve maximum production, one of the ways that can be done to address the problem of limited land is cultivated verticulture system. The research aims to determine the effect of paralon positions and provision of various concentrations of complementary liquid fertilizer and to know the paralon position combination with complementary liquid fertilizer concentration appropriate to plant growth kailan (Brassica alboglabra) with verticulture cultivation system. The experiment was conducted at the home screen experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau for 3 months, from August to October 2014. The experiment was conducted by using a split plot design (Split Plot Design). The main plot is a variety of positions paralon (P), which consists of three levels: P1:Position paralon top (height 120 cm), P2: paralon middle position (height 80 cm), P3: Position paralon under (height 40 cm). The subplots are complementary liquid fertilizer concentration (B) consists of 4 levels: B0: Without fertilizer(control), B1: Fertilizers liquid complementary 1 cc/l water, B2: Fertilizers liquid complementary 2cc/l, B3: Fertilizers complementary liquid 3cc /l. The results showed that the combination treatment paralon position as the main plots and complementary liquid fertilizer as subplots provide no real effect on all parameters. Single factor paralon top position (120 cm) as well as complementary liquid fertilizer at a dose of 3 cc / l water can increase plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, fresh weight, weight suitable for consumption and plant dry weight kailan. Abstract

The cultivation of plants melon in Riau based on condition growing is in line, but there were several obstacles such as the land in riau levels of fertility land which is low.This research aims to determine the combination of doses of an empty oil palm bunches of compost and fertilizer n, p, k the best against growth and melon crop production (Cucumis melo L.) in the trial gardenFaculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research was conducted on February 2015 until June 2015. The research has been carried out experimentally in the form of Randomized Completely Design Factorial 2 x 4. The first factor is the dose compost of  oil palm empty fruit bunches consist of two levels and the second factor is the dose of N (ZA) fertilizer, P (TSP) fertilizer and K (KCL) fertilizer consist of four levels. Data analyzed by ANOVA and further tested using by Duncan`s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%.parameter made were higher plants, diameter of stem, appears the male flowers and female flowers, diameter of fruits, weight of fruits per sampel and weightof fruits per plot. The results showed the treatment compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches and N, P, K fertilizer significantly affect on the plants height, diameter of stem, appears the male flowers and female flowers but not significant on the diameter of fruits, weight of fruits per sampel and weightof fruits per plot. The application compost of oil palm empty fruit bunches with dose of 20 tons/ha and ZA fertilizer 120 kg/ ha, TSP fertilizer 80 kg/ha, KCl 200 kg/ ha is the best dose in order to enchance growth and production of melon. Abstract

The research aims to determine the interaction between subsoil mixture with compost TKKS and watering volume and determine the exact interaction to provide the best growth in oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The reasearch was carried out for 5 months starting from october 2014 until february 2015. This reasearch was conducted in Greenhouse Agriculture Faculty University Of Riau Campus Bina Widya KM 12,5 Simpang Baru Tampan, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted experiments using completely randomized factorial design, which consisted of 2 factors with 3 replications. The first factor is a mixture of ultisol sub soil with compost TKKS (C) based on the volume that consists of 3 levels, were : C1 = (1:2), C2 = (1:1), C3 = (2:1), the second factor is the watering volume (A) consisting of 3 levels, were :A1= 2 liter,A2= 1,5 liter, A3= 1 liter. Thus there are 9 combined treatment and 27 units of trial and each experimental unit contained two plants so that overall there are 54 plans. Results of analysis of variance followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. The results showed that the interaction of a mixture of ultisol sub soil with compost TKKS the ratio of 1:2 and watering volume of 1.5 liter/day give the best effect on all parameters abserved.   Keywords :Oil palm, compost tkks, ultisol sub soil, watering volume.

Abstract

The research aims to know the interaction and get the best dose of water hyacinth compost andphosphorus fertilizer to the growth and yieldof mung bean. This research conducted in UPT area of research farm in faculty of agriculture, Riau Universityfrom March 2015 until June 2015.This research used a randomized block design with 2 factors and three replications. The first factor is the dose of water hyacinth compostconsist of 4 levels (K0= 0 ton/ha, K1= 5 ton/ha, K3= 10 ton/ha, K4=15 ton/ha). The second factor is the dose of phosphorus fertilizer that consist of 5 level: (P0= 0 kg TSP/ha, P1= 25 kg TSP/ha, P2= 50 kg TSP/ha. P3= 75 kg TSP/ha, P4= 100 kg TSP/ha).Parameters measured were plant height, number of branch, flowering time, pods number per plot, the percentage of pithy pods, weight of 100 seeds and production per plot. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and followed with DNMRT at level of 5%. The result showed the interaction between giving water hyacinth compost and the phosphorus fertilizer increasedpods number per plot, weight of 100 seeds and production per plot. Water hyacinth compost dose 15 ton/ha and phosphorus fertilizer dose 75 and 100 kg TSP/ha showed the best result inrate ofplant height, number of branch, pods number per plot, weight of 100 seeds and production per plot (1,5 m2) which is the best production per plot is 469,73 g/plot (3,1 ton/ha).   Keywords : Mungbean, water hyacinth compost, phosphorus fertilizer, growth and yield.

Abstract

This research aimed to know giving influence of formulations trichokompos TKKS with NPK fertilizerand get the best treatment of formulation for the growth of oil palm seeds (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)which derived of multy embrio. This  research has  been  conducted  in  the Agriculture  Experimental  Station  Faculty  of  Agriculture,  University  of  Riau, District of Tampan, the research was  carried out for 4 months starting in April 2015  to  the  month  of Agustus 2015. This research arranged experimentaly using Completely Randomized Design (CRD)arranged in non-factorial, which consist of 5 treatment and 3 restating, so that entirely 15 attempt units. Every attempt unit consisted of 2 polybag crop and both as a sample, P0: Without fertilizer, P1:Trichokompos TKKS 10 ton/Ha (74,5 g/polybag) + NPK 2 tablet equel to 23,738 g/polybag. P2:Trichokompos TKKS ton/Ha (74,5 g/polybag) + NPK          4 tablet equel to 47,476 g/polybag. P3:Trichokompos TKKS ton/Ha (124,5 g/polybag) + NPK 2 tablet equel to 23,738 g/polybag. P4: Trichokompos TKKS ton/Ha (124,5 g/polybag) + NPK 2 tablet equel to 47,476 g/polybag. Analysis of variance result showing existence of reality difference, continued with tested to be continuation with deep experiment Duncans New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT)at level 5%. Based on research result which has been done indicates that giving various doses of formulations trichokompos TKKS with NPK fertilizer give an significantly effect on all parameters observed. From this research giving best influence at dose 124,5 g and 74,5 richokompos TKKS + 4 Tablet NPK on all parameter observed. The final results of observations to show that the average of high, number of leaves and cusps diameter on oil palm seeds origin multy embrio which aged 12 months has exceeded the growth standards issued by PPKS. Abstract

The research aims to look at the giving of various dose combinations Palm Empty Fruit Bunch compost (PEFB) and spacing on the growth and yield of edamame soybean and to get the best treatment combination between compost PEFB and planting distance of the growth and production of edamame soybean. Research conducted in the experimental field Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau. Research period on June until August 2014. Experiments with 4 x 3 factorial using a randomized block design (RBD). The first factor is composting palm empty fruit bunch consisting of 4 levels (5, 10, 15 and 20 ton / ha). The second factor is planting distance consists of 3 levels (10 × 20, 15 × 20 and 20 × 20 cm), combination is repeated three times respectively. The efect of each treatment combination known through Duncan multiple test 5% level. Parameters measured were leaf area, root nodule effective, flowering time, the percentage of pods pithy, pithy number of pods per plant and yield per plot. The results showed that the combination of composting palm empty fruit bunch with planting distance effect on the effective root nodules, number of pods pithy planting, production per plot but did not affect the leaf area, flowering time, the percentage of pods pithy. The highest production was found in compost treatment of palm empty fruit bunches of 20 ton / ha and distance of (15 × 20) cm with a production that is 1717.2 g / plot.   Keyword : edamame soybeans, composting palm empty fruit bunch, spacing on

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research aimed to determine the effect of interaction giving of vermicompost fertilizer and cow urine to the growth of oil palm seeds (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) and get a suitable combination for the growth of oil palm seedlings in main nursery. The research was conducted from April to July 2015. The research used to completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors . The first factor is vermicompost fertilizer consists of 4 levels: vermicompost fertilizer dose of 0 g/plant, vermicompost fertilizer dose of 25 g/plant, vermicompost fertilizer dose of 50 g/plant and vermicompost fertilizer dose of 75 g/plant. The second factor is the concentration of cow urine consists of 4 levels: cow urine concentrations of 0%, cow urine concentration of 20%, cow urine concentration of 30%/ and cow urine concentration of 40%. From two factors then obtained 16 combined treatment with 3 replications. Parameters measured were increase of seed high, increase of midrib number, increase of hump circumference, root volume, root crown ratio and dry seeds weight. The data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan further test at 5% level. The results of the research showed that application vermicompost fertilizer and cow urine on oil palm seed there is interaction between giving of vermicompost fertilizer and cow urine on increase of seed high and increase of hump circumference. Combination treatment of vermicompost fertilizer dose with 125 g/plant and cow urine concentration of 40 % showed the best results of all observed parameters.   Keywords: vermicompost fertilizer, cow urine, oil palm, main nursery

Abstract

The objectives of this study was to determine the provision of human urine and get the best result for the growth of oil palm seedlings stage of pre nursery. Study has been carried out in the land of Plant Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty,University of Riau from June to October 2015. This study arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consist of 5 treatments and each treatment was repeated 4 times then obtained 20 experimental units. The treatment given is P0: Without giving human urine, P1: provision of human urine with a volume of 50 ml/polybag, P2: giving human urine with a volume of 100 ml/polybag, P3: giving human urine with a volume of 150 ml/polybag and P4: Giving human urine with a volume of 200 ml/polybag.Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root volume, crown root ratio and seeds dry weight. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further test followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. From the study that has been carried out,showed that giving of human urine on the growth of plant seedlings of palm oil (Elaeis guineensis jacq) at the stage of pre nursery significant affected on seedling height and number of leaves.The best treatment in the giving of human urine on the growth of seedlings of palm oil trees obtained in a volume of 200 ml/polybag and not significant with the treatment of 100 and 150 ml/polybag. Abstract

This research is held at the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru starts in  March to August 2016. The trial uses the factorial of Complete Random Program (RAL). The first factor of the water tension comprises of three levels, they are : (pF 1 - 1,97), (pF 2,29 - 2,54) and (pF 2,70 - 3) and the second factor of the fertilization dosage of  N, P, and K which comprises of four levels without fertilization of N, P, and K, given ½ x recommended dosage, given recommended dosage, and given 1½ x recommended dosage. The process is repeated three times. The data of observation result could be statistically analysed with ANOVA and followed by Duncan test at 5% level. The observed parametre are nutrients uptake of N, P and K, the efficiency of absorption of N, P, and K, height of plants, phase of malai's appearances, number of productive tiller, ratio of stem and root,  period of harvest, weight of 1000 paddy seeds and product efficiency. The result of this research shows the interaction of water tension and fertilisation dosage of N, P, and K visibly influnce the nutrients of N, P, and K, height of plants,  ratio of stem and root, and weight of 1000 paddy seeds. Invisibly influence to the phase of malai's appearances, period of harvest, and number of productive tiller. Combination of  water tension  pF 1 - 1,97 and fertilization dosage 1 ½ x recommeded dosage are the best combinations.Keywords: N P and K fertilizer, efficient fertilization, gogo local rice, water  tension, Ultisol

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of interaction between goat’s urine and bokashi fertilizer, and to get the decent dosagein the growth of cocoa seeds. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Agriculture Faculty of Riau University, from september 2016 to january 2017, factorial by using completely randomized design (CRD) method, 3 replicarions, which consist of two factors. The first factor, goat’s urine dosage consisted of 3 levels (0, 50, and 100 ml/polybag) and the second factor, bokashi fertilizer dosage, consisted 3 levels (0, 50 and 100 g/polybag).The parameters observed were seedling height, leaf number, stem diameter, root volume, leaf area, plants dry weight, and  the shoot to root ratio. Observationts of each parameter were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and Duncan's new multiple range test (DNMRT) level of 5%. The results show that the interactionbetween goat’s urine and bokashi fertilizer has no significant effect on all parameters, and the goat’s urine dosage of (50-100) ml/polybag and bokashi fertilizer dosage of(50-100) g/polybag is thedecent dosage to increase the all parameters.
