Abstract

The successful of pineapple based agro-industry business is influenced by the perception and the group dynamics of the agro-industry enterprises. This study aimed to determine the perceptions and dynamics of craftsmen group and also to determine pineapple based agro-industry business development for individual and group in Kualu Nenas Village Tambang District of Kampar Regency Riau Province. This research was conducted on October 2012 to September 2013 by using saturated sampling (census) and a sample of 11 pineapple chips of craftsmen.The results showed that the craftsman perception of effort is good enough, with a score of 3.39. Group dynamism as measured from 9 variables with a score of 2.27 which states that the craftsmen group are not dynamic. Development of pineapple based agro-industry business when viewed from an individual business is pretty good enough with a score of 3.02. On the other hand, when viewed as a group of businesses, such efforts have not been further developed as indicated by a score of 1.80.   Keywords: Perception, dynamics of group, agro-industry, pineapple

Abstract

The purpose of this research was (1) the characteristic of KKPA member toward cooperative unit village (KUD) Sumber Rezeki, (2) the participation of KKPA  member toward KUD, (3) the relationship of characteristic and participation of KKPA member toward cooperative unit village (KUD) in Buluh Rampai Seberida district of Indragiri Hulu regency. The method used was survey method where the population of this research was the members of cooperative at Buluh Rampai the total of KKPA member 597 which classified into 32 groups. The technique of collecting data used simple random sampling system which taken one of 32 respondents with criteria included the member of KKPA . The result of this research was the significant relationship of characteristic and participation of KKPA member toward the cooperative unit village (KUD) in Buluh Rampai Seberida district of Indragiri Hulu regency.   Keyword : characterstic, participation, significant, unit coperatives village, KKPA

Abstract

This research aims: analyze social capital in community development programs and to know the context of social capital in community development programs. This research uses a purposive sampling method with respondents consisting of 24 members of SPP PNPM Sungai Pinang. Data collection method in this research is primary data and secondary data. To determine the social capital in this research using a quantitative method using a questionnaire in the form of Likert Scale.  From the research data showed that social capital in community development The results show that social capital in community development programs PNPM Mandiri is high with an average score 3.41 views from participation in networks, reciprocity, trust, social norms, values​​, and proactive action.Problems of social capital in community development programs is reciprocity, social norms, and actions that are proactive members. This is because most of the members of the SPP is still breaking the rules and less participate in group activities. Keywords: Community Empowerment Program, Social Capital

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the degree participant of members Milik Bersama cooperation in Bukit Lingkar, Batang Cenaku in indragiri hulu regency. This research used survey method. The total of sample this research was 42 people who gain by using formula slovin. This research was using random sampling. The sample found randomly from 889 members Milik Bersama cooperation. The collecting data of this research was using primary data and secondary data. To analyze the degree and the problems at participation of this research was using descriptive method. To obtain the degree of participation of getting result at meeting, implementation of participant in cooperation activities, participant to gain the function of service, and evaluation of programs cooperation. The degree of members participation measured by using quesioner of Likert Scale. The degree participant  of members Milik Bersama cooperation in Bukit Lingkar, Batang Cenaku, Indragiri Hulu Regency was high with score 3,64. High of the degree participant on members Milik Bersama Cooperation support by high participant members on meeting, implementation, service, also evaluation programs of cooperation. In another side, the programs Milik Bersama Cooperation in Bukit Lingkar, Batang Cenaku, Indragiri Hulu Regency had some problems that related by the degree of participant were pasif on cooperation activities, attendance, lack gave ideas on meeting, less armada dum truck, and participant on activity and evaluation of programs Milik Bersama Cooperation.   Key Words: The Degree of Participant, Cooperation, KUD Milik Bersama.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: (1) To identify the role of extension on independent small holder farmers of oilpalm; (2) To know empowerment level of the farmers; (3) To analyze the purpose of extension; (4) To analyze influence the role of extension toward empowerment and influence empowerment toward the extensionpurposes. This research was conducted at Harapan BaruVillage and Sebangar Village in Mandau Sub District Bengkalis District. Research’s respondent was determined by purposive sampling methods with number of respondent were 125. The consideration to choose the location is the location that has active extension activities and has farmer group. Validity, reliability, outliers, normality and multicolinearity analysis has been done on the measuring instruments. To answer the first, second, and third purpose of this research using likert’s scale summated rating (SLR). To answer the fourth research purpose was using structural equation modeling (SEM) with the AMOS program version 21. The result shows (1) Therole of extension on independent small holder farmer of oil palm activity in Mandau Sub District is categorized enough. (2)The empowerment of independent small holder farmers of oil palm in Mandau Sub District is categorized enough. (3) The purpose of extension has worked in Mandau Sub District is categorized reach. Abstract

Poverty is one of the most important issue in the development of economy of Indonesia. The village empowerment program (Program Pemberdayaan Desa) through Usaha Ekonomi Desa Simpan Pinjam has been established to reduce poverty in the village. The aim of this study is to analyse social performance, economic performance, and to formulate strategy of LKM UED-SP Sejahtera. This research uses outreached analysis to asses social performance, and PEARLS analysis to assess financial performance. The results show that the social performance measured by social objective and mission, dimension activities and internal system, and the output & outcome of the mission has improved significantly. Financial performance that measured through six indicators is ideal while using eleven indicators shows that it is not ideal. The social performance improvement is shown through the improvement of saving volume, development of product innovation, and staff incentives while financial performance imply in asset improvement, risked reserve fund, and saving improvement.  Keywords: UED-SP, Microfinance, Social Performance, Economic Performance

Abstract

Food security program is one of the important issues related to improve people welfare in villages. The objective of this study is analyse food security of participant households on food self-sufficency village programm in Sei Simpang Dua Village. The study uses both primary and secondary data using a survey method. Data were collected from 38 households participated in the program that taken by doing census and 30 traders related to the program using purposive sampling. The data were analyse to access the availability of food, household income, and household expenditure in the village. The results show that majority of food are available in the local market but were originated from outside the village. The households income on average are Rp 1.732.237,- while households expenditures are Rp 1.005.807.-. The low income level has provoked the average amount of calorie consumption only 1.266,10 kcal/capita/day. Keywords : food security, food availability, food access, income

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) besar curahan waktu wanita pada kegiatanekonomi dan non ekonomi 2) faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi curahan waktu wanita tani, dan3) kontribusi pendapatan wanita terhadap pendapatan rumahtangga di Kecamatan TapungKabupaten Kampar, sebagai lahan terluas dan produksi kelapa sawit terbesar yang dikembangkandengan pola swadaya dan plasma. Penelitian dengan metode survei mengambil sampel denganteknik purposive, pada aspek mata pencaharian utama kepala keluarga dan pendapatan wanitauntuk membantu keluarga. Sampel penelitian 64 orang. Hasil penelitian menemukan curahan waktuwanita lebih banyak digunakan untuk kegiatan produktif sebesar 56,96 jam/minggu dibanding dengankegiatan rumahtangga yang hanya 23,69 jam/minggu. Jumlah balita berpengaruh signifikan terhadapvariabel curahan waktu kerja wanita tani. Rata-rata pendapatan wanita sebesar Rp 4.003.097,-memberikan kontribusi sebesar 47,82% dari total pendapatan keluarga rata-rata sebesar Rp 8.371.179,-Kata Kunci: wanita, curahan waktu, pendapatan, perkebunan kelapa sawit

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the dynamics of a rubber farmer groups in XIII Koto Kampar. The method used in this study was a stratified random sampling method. The sampling was done by purposive, the research area intentionally was determined by the consideration that in XIII Koto Kampar have many rubber farmer groups or a direct appointment of farmers belonging to the largest and smallest farmer groups. Data analysis was performed using a Likert scale. Data collected consist of primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews and from relevant agencies. These results indicated that the dynamics of rubber farmer group in XIII Koto Kampar which was seen from the purposes of the group, the group structures, the group functions, the development and the maintenance of the group, the group atmosphere and the pressure groups were included in the criteria of "average" which was shown by the average score 3.28.
