Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan e-book kepedulian sosial sebagai media pendidikan karakter di STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun; dan (2) mengetahui keefektifan e-book  kepe- dulian sosial sebagai media pendidikan karakter di STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun. Metode penelitian ini mengadopsi tiga langkah pengembangan yang diformulasikan oleh Borg Gall, Dick, Carey, Carey, dan Alessi Trollip. Langkah pengembangan dikelompokkan menjadi empat tahap, yaitu studi  pendahuluan,  desain instruksional,  pengembangan multimedia, dan evaluasi.  Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk e-book kepedulian sosial dalam bentuk DVD dan buku petunjuk penggunaan. E-book kepedulian sosial dinilai sangat layak berdasarkan perolehan rerata hasil penilaian uji alpha pada ahli media sebesar 3,70 dan dari ahli materi sebesar 3,60. Sedangkan pada uji beta diperoleh skor 3,41 dengan kriteria sangat layak. Keefektifan e-book kepedulian sosial sebagai media pendidikan karakter dinilai dari aspek pengetahuan dan aspek sikap.  Dari aspek pengetahuan dapat diketahui hasil rerata pretest 59,03 dan meningkat pada saat posttest 81,77. Aspek sikap ditunjukkan dengan adanya kegiatan aksi kepedulian sosial secara nyata dan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun. Kata Kunci: e-book, kepedulian sosial, media pendidikan karakter  DEVELOPING  SOCIAL CARE E-BOOK  AS A MEDIA OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN STKIP WIDYA YUWANA MADIUN  Abstract: This research aimed to: (1) develop an social care e-book as a character education media in STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun; and (2) reveal e-book effectiveness of social care as a character edu- cation media in STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun. This development research adopted a three-step deve- lopment model formulated by Borg Gall, Dick, Carey Carey, and Alessi Trollip. Development steps were grouped into four stages: preliminary study, instructional design, multimedia develop- ment, and evaluation. The result of this development research was in the form of social care e-book that was packaged in the form of DVD along with user manual. Social care e-book was highly feasible based on the results of the alpha test scores with a feasibility score of 3.70 from media experts and a score of 3.60 from material experts. Based on the results of feasibility in the beta test obtained a score of 3.41 with criteria was very feasible. The effectiveness of social care e-book as a medium of character education is assessed from aspects of knowledge and attitude aspects. From the aspect of knowledge can be known from the results of pretest rail of 59.03 and increase at posttest 81.77. Abstract

Peran guru dalam pendidikan karakter sangat penting. Melalui pendidikan karakter, guru diharapkan menjadi pribadi yang membuka alam dan pikir serta jiwa, mampu mencerahkan, memupuk nilai-nilai keteladanan, nilai-nilai perilaku, nilai-nilai kasih sayang, nilai-nilai moralitas, serta nilai-nilai kebhinekaan. Mengingat guru menjadi kunci sukses pendidikan karakter, maka perlu dipikirkan bagaimana menyiapkan atau mendidik calon guru yang berkarakter unggul. Melalui Program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter, terdapat 5 nilai karakter yang bersumber dari Pancasila yang dapat dikembangkan dalam pendidikan calon guru agama katolik, yaitu nilai karakter religius, nasionalisme, integritas, mandiri dan gotong-royong. Pendidikan karakter bagi calon guru, khususnya guru agama katolik tidak cukup hanya melalui pembiasaan. Perlu upaya internalisasi juga, salah satunya melalui kegiatan meditasi. Terdapat tiga metode meditasi yang sering digunakan dalam pembinaan calon guru agama katolik, yaitu metode kitab suci, metode Ignatius Loyola dan metode Teresia Avila. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan responden adalah mahasiswa calon guru agama katolik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode yang paling banyak digunakan dalam kegiatan meditasi adalah metode kitab suci. Penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan meditasi dapat mengembangkan karakter religius, nasionalisme, integritas, mandiri dan gotong-royong bagi calon guru agama katolik.

Abstract

Education is one of the elements of character building and human self-development. Education is expected to provide learning so that learners are able to understand themselves, others, the community environment and all the differences that exist in the environment and be tolerant to all the differences that exist in society. Multicultural education is expected to be one of the ways in which learners develop tolerant attitudes toward different racial, ethnic, social and cultural groups, religions, etc. According to UU No. 20 Year 2003 about the National Education System mentions "Education is conducted in a democratic and fair and non-discriminatory way by upholding human rights, religious values, cultural values, and national pluralism". From article 4 it can be concluded that multicultural education becomes one of the attention in the national education system in Indonesia. Through a multicultural education, learners are able to appreciate the diversity of cultural diversity that exists in Indonesia, increasing the spirit of tolerance to the differences given that the culture of Indonesian society is very diverse. Multicultural education is given to learners in the hope that they have the knowledge and understanding that in the country Indonesia is synonymous with plurality and prone to conflict. Multicultural education is expected to reduce the potential for conflict caused by various pluralism. Through the integration of curriculum and approaches in the learning process. In this case the school has a significant role in supporting the formation of a multicultural education society culture while the teacher also has a role in integrating and linking materials that lead to understanding and awareness of multiculturalism in Indonesia. Through multicultural education, learners are expected to have good competence, to behave and apply democratic values, humanism and pluralism in school and out of school. Thus, multicultural education system will be very possible to held with the cooperation of various parties that support the education process in Indonesia.

Abstract

Catechetic is the coaching of children, youth and adults in the faith, which is specific to the delivery of the Christian movement, which is basically given organically and systematically, The Catholic Religion teacher deeply embraces her duties and mission through her work at school. This work is the duty and mission that comes from God himself. The Catholic Religion teacher is expected to earnestly live his vocation as a religious teacher. A Catholic teacher is an educator as well as a journalist. An educator or reporter will be able to carry out his duties well if he has a clear and correct understanding of what is actually the purpose of teaching Catholicism as a means of preaching the love of Jesus. A Religion Teacher is a person whose job is to teach another person or an emulated and imitated person. It means that the word is imitated and imitated by faith and deeds by dodging the Christian life. STKIP Widya Yuwana is an institution owned by the diocese of Surabaya aimed at educating prospective catechists and religious teachers. The institute was originally founded by Paul Janssen, CM under the name AKI (Indonesian Catechetical Academy) which aims to produce a militant and powerful catechist. According to the times, AKI has changed into STKIP Widya Yuwana. As the name implies, this institution is then identified as a producer of religious teachers, and even the impression that this institution no longer exists on the path of Jansen's romance as a catechist producer, and turned into a producer of Catholic religious teachers. This research is needed to photograph what really happened to the students. Is it true that the outward impression that graduates and students are more likely to be teachers? If so, what is the motivation behind it? Is it really a catechist profession is not promising, or indeed STKIP Widya Yuwana who had already lost the spirit of the founder of its predecessor?

Abstract

Universal Church concerns deeply to social-economic problem of human race. Social Doctrine of The Church then appears as a way to solve social-economic problems of human race. That is why, the Indonesian apostolates attends in a ocial-economic Development (PSE) where it has been depeloped at all dioceses. Although, the development of socio-economic program is not supported well, but nowdays, Klepu-Ponorogo St. Hilary Parish has been traying to develope this program. They have some kinds of social-economic developments program such as: farming training school, home industry, organic rice farming, barns, mushrooms cultivation, urine liquid fertilizer. Eventhough, practically, they find some problems different interests on PSE program. It is actually influenced by the ineffectiveness of the program socialization to the whole people. Another factor is that, the people has not been yet interested to join in the program.

Abstract

Parents totally have crucial role on growing up the character education in family life. From parents, the children learn the way of respecting others, loving to the diversity, respecting differences in point of view and being humble. The Catholic family is a “ecclesia domestica” (family church), the smallest part of the church. Therefore, it is not only a place of the growth and development of the Catholic faith, but also a place of strengthening the values ​​of love according to Jesus ways the eternal Teacher. Character education grows in a family life. From and within the family environment, children learn ethical values, manners, and things that are not desirable in the social environment. Along the times, the challenges of families in educating children increasingly grave. The technology advances have disrupted many dimensions of life, including the warmth in a family life.

Abstract

The figure of Jesus as a teacher is clearly different from the average teacher. Jesus was recognized as a teacher not only by His disciples, but by many who heard His teachings. Jesus is called the Teacher because Jesus' teacher training is based on "teaching" activities. The uniqueness of his teaching was different from that of the Rabbis of his day. Jesus is truly a teacher who has the competence to teach from the side of His personality. In His teaching Jesus had clear goals and directions, to achieve His learning goals Jesus used strategies such as learning and was supported by the use of approaches that were easy for his students to understand. This paper aims to (1) show Jesus as a teacher, (2) the uniqueness of Jesus' teaching (3) the teaching techniques practiced by Jesus (4) and its relevance for Catholic religious teachers. The important point of the results of this study is that Catholic religion teachers must have Jesus-like character and skills to teach well according to Jesus' example. These teaching skills have a big influence on students' attention to learning. This research will use descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches

Abstract

The family is a domestic ecclesia that is called to cultivate seeds of faith and joyful love for its members and for other families. As ecclesia domestica, families need to be aware of their unique calling in the midst of the complex challenges faced today, namely to become a sign of real love in the life of the world. The family becomes the first and vital cell for society and a deeper humanitarian school. The Covid-19 pandemic period can be an opportunity to turn families into humanitarian schools, where human values ​​grow and develop, a house of holiness, where the virtues of the gospel grow, and the community of mercy is in accordance with the ideals of Christian marriage. The period of the Covid-19 pandemic should be a momentum for reflection to increase family dialogue, harmony, and assistance for children.

Abstract

In the world of education, learning media has a very important role. The position of learning media as a tool or means of conveying messages from teachers to students. In learning activities, the media has the function of attention, cognitive function, afective function and compensatory function. One of the media learning that can be used is the Kahoot application. Media learning in the form of visuals has the benefit of being able to attract students' attention and motivate students to learn. Kahoot is a game-based visual media that is easily accessed and used by teachers and students. Game-based learning media is favored by the digital generation. Kahoot can be used as a teaching medium for Catholic religion education. In its utilization, it can be used for brainstorming, pretest-posttest, to find out understanding regarding the presented subject matter.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain how to design Catholic religious education learning activities using the Hybrid Learning method. The importance of learning design is first to improve the quality of education and make it easier for students to learn. When you want to improve the quality of Catholic religious education, what needs to be considered is the quality of learning. During the COVID-19 pandemic situation, to overcome the learning loss dilemma that occurs at the education level, hybrid learning is one method that can be taken to carry out learning activities. Hybrid/mixed learning refers to a combination of online learning and conventional (face-to-face) learning. Innovations that can be made in Hybrid Learning combine several forms, for example, Flipped classroom, flex model, rotation model, enriched model, anchor model. This innovation needs to be done to learn. Catholic religious education is more fun to motivate and facilitate students in learning. Determine the form of hybrid learning can be done by following the steps of learning development with the ADDIE model. The development procedure goes through the steps of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The development of hybrid learning using the ADDIE model is expected to be able to produce a hybrid learning design that is per the learning objectives and characteristics of the students.
