Abstract

Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana Willd) is one of the industrial plants which has economic value and it can be developed in Indonesia. The development of candlenut plants in Indonesia needs to get attention because until now the technology of candlenut cultivation is still very simple and still lack high-quality seeds. Therefore, a study was conducted to find out the effect on the growth of candlenut seedling toward soil comparisons and shell charcoal powder with some comparisons of growing seedling. This study used Completely Randomized Design (RAL), which consists of 6 comparative treatments are (P0) 100% soil and 0% charcoal/control, (P1) 90% soil and 10% charcoal, (P2) 80% soil and 20% charcoal, (P3) 70% soil and 30% charcoal, (P4) 60% soil and 40% charcoal, (P5) 50% soil and 50% charcoal with 5 replications so that overall there are 30 samples of plant experiment. Parameters that is observed include high growth, stem diameter increased, number of leaves, dry weight of roots and canopy, and seed quality index. The result showed that the treatment of soil comparative and shell charcoal powder as growing media on the growth of candlenut seedling (Aleurites molucana Willd) gives very significant effect of high growth, stem diameter, number of leaves, canopy dry weight, root dry weight, and quality index of candlenut seedling compared with the control one. The best treatments are (P3) comparison of 70%  soil and 30% charcoal..Keywords: level of comparisons, Soil, Shell Charcoal Powder Of Candlenut, Candlenut Seedling.

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of cognitive conflict strategy assisted by PhET Simulation to remediate students’ misconception on DC electric circuits. A total 35 students were selected from class XI IPA 1 SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat by using intact group random sampling technique. The research design in this study using one group pretest-posttest design. Data was collected by using the diagnostic tests in the form of multiple-choice with open reasoning comprised of 18 questions by representing three concepts related to DC electric circuits. The result shows that average of decrease in number of students’ who have misconceptions for each concepts were 53,33% with a significance of decrease by McNemar test is (47,27) > (3,84). Therefore, it can be conclude that the decrease in number of students’ who have misconception before and after remediation is significant. The effectiveness of remediation by using cognitive conflict strategy assisted by PhET Simulation is 0.67 (medium). This research is expected to be used as reference for teachers to remediate students’ misconception. Keywords: Remediation, Conflict Cognitive, PhET Simulation

Abstract

Saluran transmisi daya listrik merupakan bagian dari sistem ketenagalistrikan yang memiliki peran vital untuk menyalurkan daya yang dihasilkan oleh pembangkit-pembangkit listrik. Saluran transmisi ini adakalanya tidak dapat menghindari untuk melintasi wilayah pemukiman penduduk. Kondisi demikian sesungguhnya memiliki potensi dampak negatif yang harus diketahui secara baik dan benar oleh masyarakat. Hal tersebut tentunya membutuhkan program edukasi yang membahas tentang potensi dampak negatif yang dapat terjadi serta solusi yang ditawarkan. Salahsatu model edukasi yang dapat ditempuh berupa sosialisasi dialogis dengan menggunakan materi yang disusun berdasarkan referensi ilmiah yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Materi sosialisasi membahas tentang potensi dampak berupa radiasi medan elektromagnetik, gejala korona, bagian metal bangunan yang bertegangan listrik serta terjadinya gangguan petir. Materi sosialisasi tersebut diharapkan dapat membangun pemahaman memadai bagi masyarakat agar dapat hidup secara bijaksana di bawah saluran transmisi. Kata kunci: saluran transmisi, listrik, potensi dampak negatif, edukasi, pemukiman penduduk.
