Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan rendahnya kegigihan (persistence) matematis siswa SMP dalam pelajaran matematika.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kegigihan (persistence) matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pendekatan PCL (Problem Centered Learning) dan pembelajaran konvensional.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok control non-equivalent design menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan mengambil subjek penelitian adalah siswa salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung.Sedangkan sampel penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas eskperimen dengan jumlah 34 siswa dan siswa kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 34 siswa.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan awal matematis, Angket kegigihan dan lembar observasi aktifitas guru dan siswa.Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata dan uji Anova dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kegigihan (persistence) matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran pendekatan PCL dan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Terdapat perbedaan kegigihan (persistence) matematis anatara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PCL ditinjau dari kemampuan awal (tinggi, sedang, rendah); (3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan (PCL, Konvensional dengan KAM (tinggi sedang, rendah) terhadap peningkatan kegigihan (persistence) matematis siswa.

Abstract

This research axamines about the influence of Quantum Learning model with presentation software media to students’ achievement on the integer multiplicationmaterial for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis, which the purpose to determine whether or not the influence of Quantum Learning model with presentation software media to students’ achievement in integer multiplication material for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis. This research was conducted in class V at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis in Academic Year 2018/2019.This research uses a quantitative approach with the “Pre Experimental design” method, and uses the design of One-Group Pretest-Posttes Design. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling. The population in this research were all students of fifth grade, while the sample of this research amounted to 24 students. The data collection techniques used in the form of tests consisting of 5 questions. The prerequisite test used is the Lillifors test in order to test the normality of the data. Based on the result of the Lillifors test it was found that the data were normally distributed. Based on the analysis of hypothesis test from the results of the T-test calculation with tcount>ttabel (18,06>2,05), it can be interpreted that Ha is accepted. So the result of this research show that there is a positive influence on the Quantum Learning model with presentation media to students’ achievement on the integer multiplicationmaterial for the fifth grade at SD Negeri 5 Simpangkatis.

Abstract

Abstract This research is about the first description of the quantity of competency testing of mathematics teachers at school level in Central Bangka district. The purpose of this study is to find out. (1) Description of teacher competency, especially pedagogical competence and professional competence of junior high school mathematics teachers in middle bangka kabutan who have taken UKG; (2) constraints of junior high school math teachers in taking UKG. This research method uses quantitative descriptive methods. Data sources are primary data sources in the form of informant words and secondary data sources in the form of UKG 2015 documentation and archives. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use documentation, questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study can be concluded that: (1) Pedagogical and professional competence of junior high school mathematics teachers in Bangka Tengah district itself is good but still needs to be improved. This can be seen from the results of (a) pedagogical and professional competencies have been implemented as indicators of Minister of Education Regulation No. 16 of 2007 (b) the average value of UKG on pedagogic competence is 66.29 and professional competence is 66.04 (2) The obstacles faced in taking UKG are the material tested on his professional competence is too broad, lack of mastery of pedagogical competencies, lack of some teachers have mastery of computers.
