The existence of a school library is a must. Based on the National Education Standards, eachschool is required to have a library. In its management, the library must be managed byappropriate management personnel and competent in their fields. In line with thedevelopment of science and technology that continues to develop school libraries need to bemanaged and utilized for the benefit of education through an appropriate forum, namely theschool library. Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Collecting datathrough observation, interviews and document analysis. Subjects in this study were schoolprincipals, library heads, library staff, visitors, events, facts, documents and various forms ofefforts, school library programs or activities. The object in this study is the development of aschool library based on information technology carried out in SMAN 2 and SMA 3 KotaPadang. The results showed that the factors influencing the development of informationÂ technology-based school libraries in State High School 2 and State 3 High School in PadangCity could be identified into four, namely human resources, information resources, funding,and infrastructure in the school library.Â

ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this research is to description of the following. First, describe the mastery level of instrinsik element of grade IX SMP Negeri 20 Padang. Second, describing the skill level of writing short story students in class IX SMP Negeri 20 Padang. Thirdly, it describes the contribution of Instrinsik element mastery to the short story writing skills of class IX SMP Negeri 20 Padang. This type of research is quantitative using a descriptive method with a correlation approach. The population amounted to 285 people and was spread in nine classrooms. This research sample amounted to 57 people. The research Data is a result of the objective test of multiple-choice for an Instrinsik element mastery test consisting of 42 grains. Student short story writing skills Data is obtained by conducting a performance test. The collected Data is analyzed according to the indicators to get student scores and grades. Based on the results of the study, three sympultants were obtained. First, the skills of short story writing students IX SMP Negeri 20 Padang Panjang in general are on the qualification more than enough with an average value of 72.15.Â Secondly, the mastery of instrinsik element of grade XI SMP Negeri 20 Padang is being qualified more than enough with the average value of 69.76 count. Thirdly, the mastery of language style contributes to the short story writing skills of class IX SMP Negeri 20 Padang by 32.49%, while the rest is influenced by other factors that are not researched in this study.Â Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, Unsur Instrinsik, Menulis Cerita Pendek

ABSTRACTÂ This article reveals the contribution of skills reading comprehension to writing skills text exposition grade students VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13. The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension Â grade VIII SMP Negeri 13Padang. Second, it describes the writing skills text eksposition grade VIII SMP Negeri 13Padang. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate reading comprehension against writing skills text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri 13 Padang. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The Â desain used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang are registered on the 13th school year 2019/2020, i.e. as many as 288 students. The sample in this Â research are determined by propotional random sampling of 20% of the populations, i.e. 54 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate reading comprehension and score the writing skills test result text exposition. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of reading comprehension text eksposition and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text eksposition. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of reading comprehension grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 75.41. Second, the skills of writing text exposition grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.37. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in the exposition of text to the skills of writing exposition texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 13 at 62.77%.Â Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis,Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Teks Eksposisi.

ABSTRACTÂ This study aims to describe students short story writing skills using the master copy technique and mind mapping techniques. This type of research is quantitative with analytical descriptive method. Research sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to collect data in this study is the performance test, which is writing short story texts. The research data ini the form of short story writing skills using the master copy technique and mind mapping technique. The research data collection technique is by analyzing students short story writing skills by apllying the master copy technique and mind mapping technique. Indicators used to assess short story writing skills, namely structure, instrinsic elements, and linguistic elements.Â Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that. First, short story writing skills using the master copy the technique of the eleventh grade students of Padang Panjang public high school 2 are in good qualification because the average value of short story text writing skills using the master copy technique is 82.07. Second, short story writing skills using mind mapping techniques of the eleventh grade students of Padang Panjang 2 high school are in excellent qualifications because the average value of short story writing skills using mind mapping technique is 88.26. Third, based on the calculated average values for the two texts, there is a significant different between the short story writing skills using the master copy technique of the eleventh grade students of Padang Panjang 2 high school.Kata kunciÂ : keterampilan menulis, teks cerpen, copy the master, mind mapping

ABSTRACTThis article aims to describe the effect of the problem based leaerning model on explanatory text writing as found on eight grade at SMP Negeri 4 Solok Selatan.The type the research is quantitative with the experimental method. There are three results found from the research, these are (1) eight grade students expansive writing skills as found at SMP Negeri 4 Solok Selatan before they were tought using the problem based learning model it were already in a qualitied stage with the average valve is 70,67, (2) eight grade students explanatory writing skills of SMP Negeri 4 Solok Selatan after being tought using the problem based learning model is in a better qualified stage with the average valve is 86,86, and (3) eight grade student explanatory writing skills of SMP Negeri 4 Solok Selatan using the problem based learning model have been in a good stage even without using the problem based learning model.Â Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Model Problem Based Learning, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksplanasi

ABSTRACT Â This article was written to describe the correlationÂ ofÂ reading comprehensionÂ andÂ writingÂ aÂ expositionÂ textÂ seventh gradeÂ studentsÂ ofÂ SMA Negeri 3Â Padang. TipeÂ of thisÂ research isÂ quantitative researchÂ withÂ descriptive methodÂ andÂ used a correlationalÂ researchÂ schema.Â The populationÂ and sample of thisÂ researchÂ isÂ the seventh gradeÂ studentsÂ ofÂ SMAÂ Negeri 3Â PadangÂ inÂ theÂ year of 2019/2020.Â TheÂ sample ofÂ thisÂ researchÂ isÂ 40Â students.Â The samplingÂ technique usedÂ isÂ randomÂ sampling.Â FromÂ thisÂ research,Â itÂ canÂ beÂ concluded thatÂ thereÂ isÂ significantÂ correlationÂ betweenÂ readingÂ comprehentionÂ withÂ writing expositionÂ textÂ seventh gradeÂ studentsÂ ofÂ SMAÂ Negeri 3Â PadangÂ by freedomÂ degreeÂ n-1Â withÂ significantsÂ rateÂ 95%Â andÂ tobservation Â isÂ biggerÂ thanÂ ttabel thatÂ isÂ 3,78Â > 1,68.Â ItÂ means,Â the studentsÂ who have a higherÂ abilityÂ inÂ reading comprehensionÂ soÂ they alsoÂ haveÂ aÂ goodÂ ability inÂ writeÂ aÂ expositionÂ text.Â In contrast,Â ifÂ theirÂ ability inÂ readingÂ comprehensionÂ isÂ low,Â theirÂ ability inÂ writeÂ a expositionÂ textÂ is too low. ABSTRACTÂ The purpose of this study is to describe the sentences in the student explanation text in terms of four things. First, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of language accuracy, there are 175 (62.94%) errors. Ineffectiveness of the sentence based on elements of syntactic functions (28 errors), missing sentence elements (13 errors), redundant sentence elements (134 errors). Second, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of word accuracy has 18 (06.47%) errors. Ineffectiveness of the sentence lies in the accuracy of the concept (5 errors) and the accuracy of the usage context (13 errors). Third, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of spelling accuracy is 165 (58.63%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence is in the use of capital letters (72 errors), the use of periods (5 errors), the use of commas (40 errors), and writing words (46 errors). Based on these results it can be concluded that the sentences in the news text of class VIII students at SMP Pembangunan Laboratory Laboratory are not effective. This is evidenced from the 278 sentences studied, there were 76 (27.33%) effective sentences and 202 (72.66%) ineffective sentences with 356 errors.Â Kata kunci: Keefektifan Kalimat, Teks Berita

ABSTRACTÂ This study aims to (1) describe the structure of the report text observation of the work of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan (2) illustrates the linguistic characteristics of the observation report text by class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan. The results of this study are as follows. First, in writing the report text of observations of Grade VII students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan, they have used the three text structures of the observation report results. The structure of the report's observational text is a general definition, section description, and description of benefits. This is evident from the 20 observational report texts that have been analyzed throughout the observation report text of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan complete using general definitions, section descriptions, and benefits descriptions. Second, in writing the report text of observations generally in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Solok Selatan have used the four text structures of the observation report. The Fourth linguistic characteristics of the text of the observation report are repetition, pronoun, conjunction, and description sentences. This is evident from the 20 text reports on observations that have been analyzed, there are 16 text reports on observations that are complete using the linguistic characteristics of repetition, pronouns, conjunctions, and sentence definitions. ABSTRACTÂ This article is written to discuss the results of research on contribution of skills listening rhyme to writing skills rhyme grade strudents VII SMP Negeri 34 Padang. Â The purpose of this research thereÂ areÂ three. First, describe the skillsÂ of listening rhyme.Â Second, describe the skils of writing rhyme.Â Third, describe the contributing skillsÂ of listening rhymeÂ for the writing skill of theÂ rhyme grade students VII SMP Negeri 34 Padang. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, i.e. 45Â students. Research data is a score test results intermediate listening rhyme and score the writing skills test result text rhyme. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the skills of listening rhymeÂ and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text rhyme.Â The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of listening rhymeÂ grade VII SMP NegeriÂ 34Â Padang are on good qualifications (B) by the value of the average 77,67. Second, the skills of writing rhymeÂ grade VII SMP Negeri 34 Padang are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 82,31. ABSTRACTÂ The aimed of this researchwas to describe the studentâ€™s correlation of comprehension skill on short story text with skil of writing the short story text at class XI SMA Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung. The subject of this research was the second grade students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung with sample of 34 people. The kind of this research is the quantitative with descriptive method. The data of this research are gotten by two kind of test. The test are multiple choice test in order to collectÂ the data of comprehension skill on short story text, the second is the studentâ€™s woerksheet test in order to collect the data of writing the short story text. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that; first, the studentâ€™s comprehension skill on comprehend the text are in good qualifying (85.06). Second, the studentâ€™s writing skill in writing the short story text class XI student of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung are in good qualifying (77.33). Third, there is a significant correlation between studentâ€™s comprehension skill an writing skillin comprehending and witing short story text of the second grade students at class XI SMA Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung that is 0.784 itÂ can be proved by the t-count > t table (7.15> 1.70) in level 95%.Â Kata kunci: korelasi, memahami teks cerpen, menulis teks cerpen
