Abstract

Pengelolaan perusahaan dapat dilakukan dengan baik melalui peningkatan produktivitas kerja terutama untuk perusahaan yang proses produksinya dilakukan secara manual. Perusahaan rokok Sumber Rejeki adalah salah satu perusahaan yang proses produksinya dilakukan secara manual. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah perusahaan hanya bisa memenuhi 75% target produksi yang ada. Perbaikan metode kerja di bagian pelintingan rokok dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Perbaikan metode kerja ini bisa dilakukan melalui studi gerak dan waktu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan efisiensi kerja melalui perbaikan metode kerja pada bagian pelintingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari perbaikan metode kerja pada proses pelintingan rokok di P.R. Sumber Rejeki yang dilakukan dengan merubah tata letak, menggabungkan gerakan tangan kiri dan tangan kanan, serta mengeliminasi gerakan menunggu (unavoidable delay) dan memegang untuk memakai (hold). Perbaikan ini dapat mempercepat waktu siklus dan waktu standar serta meningkatkan output aktual, output standar dan efisiensi kerja.   Kata kunci: perbaikan metode kerja, waktu standar, efisiensi kerja

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop master production schedule (MPS) to meet all consumers’ demand by means of disaggregation process method. The method was applied on a small scale industry producing a several instant powder drinks of the following raw materials: ginger, “kunyit putih” (white turmeric); “temulawak” (kind of wild ginger); turmeric and tamarind; “kunci sirih” (bettle vine with finger-roots), “beras kencur” (lesser galangal and rice), and aloe. The products are packed in two sizes i.e. a sachet of 100 gram (a small sachet) and 250 gram (a big sachet) respectively. Initially, the demand was forecasted using an additive decomposition method, then followed by an aggregated planning based on a work force method and finally, to run a disaggregation process using The Hax and Meal method. The results suggested that for the coming 3 months ought to produce an instant powder of ginger drinks as many as 4,710 small sachets and 1,530 big ones; 4,330 small sachets and 1,416 big ones of white turmeric (Curcuma saffron) instant powder; 3,660 small sachets and 1,100 big sachets of wild ginger (Curcuma xananthorrhiza) instant powder; 2,940 small sachets and 964 big ones of white turmeric-tamarind mixture;  1,980 small sachets and 648 big sachets of bettle vine-finger-roots mixture; 2,080 small sachets and 648 big sachets of a lesser galangal-rice mixture; and 2,150 small sachets and 704 big sachets of  aloe powder respectively.   Key Words: hax and meal method, disaggregation, master production schedule

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to develop an  - R control chart of the filling process in a particular pasteurized milk industry in order to improve the performance of the process. Based on the data of the milk volume filled in the container, the  - R control chart of the filling process was developed. It was found that an average volume ( ) was 143.88 ml; and the respective values of UCL and LCL  were 147.74 ml and 140.52ml, with an average volume range (R) of 5.83 ml; UCLR = 12.30 ml; and LCLR = 0. The chart showed that the center line and limits of the X control exceeded the predetermined value of 140 ± 5 ml, with the average volume of 143.88 ml, which was above the set value of volume 140 ml.  The value of Cp was 0.66 (less than 1,00) and the Kane performance index, CPK = 0,15 which was equal to the CPU. It means that the operation of the filling process was under its capacity. Since the filling machine used was a semi automatic one, to reduce the excessive filling may be carried out either by upgrading operator or machinery performances.Key word:  control chart, filling process, pasteurized milk

Abstract

The cassava husk is solid waste of production process of cassava, the cassava husk have big enough potency of amount side. This study aimed to exploit the solid waste of cassava husk become compost, so that can improve economic value of the waste and to know the starter concentration of Aspergillus niger sp and the appropriate time of incubation so that get quality compost of cassava husk, and for the eligibility of small industrial scale cassava husk compostThe process of composting Windrow open system uses starter of Aspergillus niger sp 10, 20 and 30 % with time of incubation during 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30 days. Elections of the best treatment pursuant to compost parameter standard show that treatment of K7 that is addition of starter rate 0% with time of incubation 24 days are the best treatment. The best treatment result have rate of C 22.87%, Total N 11.23%, C/N 18.60%, P2O5 0.82%, K2O 0.92%, KA 18.50%, pH 7.05, yield 41.04%, temperature 27 0C and amount of spores 144.543 (x104)/g. From the result analyses eligibility of effort making of competent cassava husk compost to be run calculation of criterion eligibility of effort, mount advantage of investment is competent.
