Abstract

Environmental issues have become the attention of many world countries, especially member countries of the European Union, where the European Union has policies and targets for its region. This agreement binds 27 European countries, making these policies the region's primary law. Member countries, one of which is Denmark, will be discussed in this study. Unlike other European countries, Denmark has a long-term and is committed to protecting the environment. This study aims to analyze Denmark's environmental policy in overcoming environmental damage and its commitment to using renewable resources. It can be seen from the available data that Denmark occupied country number 1 for three years, namely 2020-2022, as the one with the highest score in protecting the environment, of course with active, comprehensive policies and high public awareness to protect the environment.

Abstract

Globalization encourages mobility and human reach. New challenges emerge to test the community's readiness. Based on the Global Talent Competitiveness Index, Indonesia is ranked 65th out of 132 countries. Research International Labor Organization indicates that nearly 20% of the Indonesian workforce does not qualify for the work they are doing. This data shows the low quality of education in Indonesia, especially the level of higher education. This journal examines Australia-Indonesia's efforts to meet the need to improve the quality of human resources through the Australian Awards program. Based on data from the final report of the AAI program, although 26% of scholarship participants came from Indonesia, it did not adequately represent the entire population of undergraduate graduates. This has been constrained by budget cuts, a change in Australian policy direction and successful promotions. This scholarship is known to be prestigious, but unfortunately the impact is not so significant on the development of the quality of human resources in Indonesia.

Abstract

Jakarta’s widespread internal migration also complicate efforts to provide its citizens with the care they needed. Pandemic exacerbates the social vulnerabilities of the urban people and increasingly shows the inequality that exists in the city. The question that this paper tried to answer is “To what extent the urban poor could access their entitlements to sustainable livelihood?”. To help enhance our understanding on how urban poor access their rights and entitlements to sustainable livelihoods, sustainable livelihood framework is to be combined with demographic analysis approaches. Data collecting and field research was the elements of analytical methods that’s used to understand the dynamic of the urban people livelihood. Poor people stood at the centre and were seen to build their livelihood strategies on a set of vital resources. People found ways to make ends meet and got on with their lives. In the case of urban poor in Jakarta, it is important to note, that while the sustainable livelihood model stresses that poor people are the experts on their own conditions, it is condescending to assume that all of the people’s livelihood strategies are inherently right. Many urban poor households lack access to information, broader overviews, and a knowledge of prior experiences outside their own area which mean that they may make mistakes and adopt livelihood strategies which are unsatisfactory at best or doomed to failure at worse.
