Abstract

The purposes of the study are (1) studying the characteristics of the landslide hazard level, vulnerability, and capacity dealing with the seasonal plant farmland, and (2) developing the conceptual model disaster risk of landslide for the seasonal plant farmland at the stato volcano area. Sampling of the land factor was carried out in a purposive way and the sampling of the people was carried out accidentally. The analysis was conducted descriptively, parametric and non-parametric statistics, and spatial analysis of ecological map, land shape, slope, soil and land use. The findings showed that the extremely high landslide risk occurred at the cone shape of the incised volcano and the slope of the incised volcano. The economic vulnerability of one-seasonal crop farmland was about Rp. 8,879,310 ha/year-Rp. 44,036,061 ha/year. While, the socio-economic factor of the farmers was generally characterized by a transition into a periurban area. The conceptual model tated that the resources of seasonal plant farmland with the high risk of landslide can be cultivated with the acceptable risk if the vulnerability of agricultural commodity is low in economic value and the capacity of farmers cultivating it is high.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the TASC learning model on students' ability to solve problems in natural resource management material. This study uses an experimental method with the design of Non-equivalent Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The results of this study indicate that the TASC learning model has an effect on students' problem solving abilities in natural resource management materials, where experimental class students who use the TASC learning model have better problem solving skills than the control class that uses the class discussion model. in natural resource management material. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it was concluded that there were significant differences between students learning using the TASC learning model (Active Thinking in Social Context) with students learning to use cooperative type class discussion learning models to solve problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models on student learning outcomes. This study is Nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was class VII which was determined randomly. The material used is the potential and utilization of natural resources. The data obtained are then tested differently using the independent sample t-test. The results showed that the two research classes experienced positive changes regarding student learning outcomes. In the experimental class the problem-based learning model shows learning outcomes that are better than class controls. Calculation of the independent sample t-test posttest shows that students with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.019, where 0.019 <0.05 means that there is a significant difference. The existence of significant differences indicates that there is an influence of problem-based learning models on student learning outcomes.

While the benefits of this research are to increase the repertoire of research on phenomena in Sufism and as a reference material for nationalism education in Indonesia in the modern era. The results of the study are the Shiddiqiyyah teaches the value of nationality, nationalism and Pancasila because it is a manifestation of the practice of "Hubbul Wathon Minal Faith". Based on these traditions, Shiddiqiyyah teaches the value of Pancasila and Nationalism to its membersWhile the meaning of these monuments is a manifestation of the spirit of nationalism and the love of Pancasila from members of the Shiddiqiyyah Tarekat to unite faith and humanity.

Abstract

Since 1960's the government of Indonesia has intensively built structural mitigation infrastructure on the slopes of Merapi before it erupted in 2010. In the other hand, the community has been introduced cultural mitigation inherited by their ancestors. The problem is the way how they understand both mitigation models. This study aims to determine people's interpretation towards cultural and structural mitigation before and after the eruption of Merapi volcano in 2010. The study used in-depth interviews method to victims of Merapi eruption in 2010, who live in disaster prone areas (KRB) II and III on the southern slope of Kepuharjo and Umbulharjo village, Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The hermeneutic analysis is applied to interpretative ideas associated with an analog understood from the oral and textual data. The analysis is supported by the historical literature, which gives an overview of Merapi for its community in the past. The study results that people’s interpretation of cultural and structural mitigation in Merapi society can be divided into two based on time before and after its eruption in 2010. The first groups or ones with ideas before the eruption, cultural mitigation is more meaningful for them and after eruption they combine it as an integrated cultural and structural mitigation. While the second community, before and after eruption, they have already made sense of integrated cultural and structural mitigation. In cultural mitigation, in interacting with nature, they understand about the fate of life that comes from the Javanese philosophy and beliefs of the Merapi volcano. In structural mitigation, the government constructs people to make sense that based on scientific rationality their life with nature on the slopes of Merapi volcano can emerge a risk of disaster anytime. Keywords: interpretation, mitigation, cultural, structural.

Abstract

Land use is an important variable in determining the incidence of landslide. Whereas the use of agricultural land crops are vital assets socio-economic life of small farmers in the rural areas on land in the area of complex quarter Arjuno volcano in East Java. This makes the direction of conservation of farmland crops indispensable as an effort to suppress landslide disaster risk. This study aims to determine the direction of agricultural land use crops to reduce disaster risk landslide. Survey method based Disaster Risk Level Map Landslide the basis for this study. Referrals are based on landform conservation, land use, and spatial variation landslide disaster risk with regard to geographical location. Analysis is conducted visually descriptive and to the table. The results show that the direction of agricultural land use crops against landslide disaster risk level should pay attention landform, slope, and rainfall. Urbnisasi region rural farming communities change of socio-economic and cultural aspects due to the ease of access to the interaction with urban areas. This has an impact on the orientation of their lives are no longer entirely dependent on land resources so often ignored aspects of land conservation.

Abstract

Education as a process of learning and channeling knowledge, changing behavior and shaping personal character must be done well. Teachers have an important influence on the keys to success and success of the learning process based on national education goals. In learning, an ideal set of learning tools is needed so that students are able to understand the material being taught well. Ideal education as the suitability that is aspired, expected and desired. The ideal learning process through learning tools is characterized by the nature of students becoming active. This research method uses content analysis, descriptive research types and qualitative approaches. The results of the study, from 10 schools that were sampled as many as 6 schools with complete categories that have a match between 8-11 components and 4 schools have a very complete category that has a compatibility between 12-13 components.

Abstract

Social studies learning by utilizing laboratories will make it easier for students to construct concepts and understand the material being taught. The existence of a relatively recently developed social studies laboratory is interesting to study so that it can become a reference for the next development stage. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that the role of social studies laboratories has been used by teachers in improving the quality of learning in schools. Data retrieval is done by interviews, questionnaires and observations Data analysis techniques in research using qualitative analysis is done by reflecting the results of observations of the learning process carried out. Data in the form of words from field notes are processed into meaningful sentences and analyzed qualitatively. IPS Laboratory is able to facilitate understanding, increase students' curiosity. However, this has not been optimal due to several things such as the unavailability of laboratory rooms, the systematic use of social studies laboratories, the lack of procedures for the use of complete IPS laboratories, and problems with facilities and infrastructure that have not been supported.
