Abstract

This study attempts to uncover the influence of Islamic work ethic (IWE) on employee voice, which has never been explored before. The model was developed by placing IWE as an antecedent of voice behavior, and affective commitment was tested as a mediator. Data were collected using a purposive sample of 100 respondents, and PLS-SEM analyzed the data. The analysis results show that IWE positively and significantly impacts affective commitment and employee voice behavior. Affective commitment is positively related to voice behavior and may mediate the relationship between IWE and voice behavior. The results of this study are preliminary, so further research is needed to retest the resulting model.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of fear of missing out (FoMO) on impulse buying and the mediation effect of price sensitivity, and the moderator effect of scarcity cues in these relations. Three hundred and eighty-four students from two universities in Jakarta were involved in the study by completing a two-phase online questionnaire. Moderation and mediation procedure (MODMED) was applied to test the hypothesis with Macro Process 4.0. The empirical findings of this study demonstrate that fear of missing is negatively related to price sensitivity and positively related to impulse buying. Fear of missing out has also been confirmed to affect impulse buying through price sensitivity indirectly. Furthermore, according to expectations, scarcity cues were also verified to strengthen the effect of fear of missing out and price sensitivity on impulse buying.

Abstract

This research project seeks to analyze and gather evidence about regional income and whether the Covid-19 pandemic has caused fiscal stress in all provinces of Indonesia. The data used includes the budgets for all provinces in Indonesia for 2018 and 2019 prior to the pandemic, and for 2020 and 2021 during the pandemic, with a total of 34 provinces included in the study. The sampling method utilized was saturated sampling, while data processing was done through the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with SPSS 26. The findings indicate that there were notable differences in regional income, transfers to regions, and village funds before and during the pandemic, leading to fiscal stress. This component is crucial to regional income, as it directly involves the central government, and thus the pandemic has had a significant impact on the provinces. However, there were no differences in regional original income or other income before and during the pandemic, indicating that there was no fiscal stress.
