Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership variables , variable compensation and working environment variable to variable performance of employees of Marketing PT . Nyonya Meneer Semarang . This type of research is explanatory . In this study population there were 40 employees of the marketing department of PT . Nyonya Meneer Semarang and all were sampled by sampling saturated . Data were collected through questionnaires . Measurement scale using a Likert scale . Data analysis method used is correlation , simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS 16.0.The study concluded that : ( a) leadership in PT . Nyonya Meneer Semarang is good , so is the compensation available in PT . Nyonya Meneer Semarang is good and working environment in the PT . Nyonya Meneer Semarang is good ; ( b ) the effect of leadership on employee performance is strong at 0.639 , (c ) the effect of compensation on employee performance is stronger by 0.657 ; ( d ) the influence of the work environment on employee performance is quite strong at 0.473 , ( d ) simultaneously results demonstrate leadership , compensation and work environment has a strong influence on the performance of employees is 0.704 . Leadership and compensation variables have a greater influence than the work environment variables .

Abstract

Batik is one of the product of fashion industry originated from Indonesia which has already been recognized by the world. It is one of the form of Indonesia’s indigenous culture with big potential to contribute in increasing national economy on creative industry sector. One of the innovation of batik is natural indigo dyed batik, which uses the fermentation of Indigofera tinctoria plant in the coloring process, and The Bluesville is one of the local brand that’s producing this kind of batik. In the last three years, the sales of The Bluesville continue to increase, eventhough it has not reached the company’s sales target. This matter is caused by the lack of awareness from the consumer about the excellence of the natural indigo dyed batik fabrication. Higher competition require the company to set a strategy to keep innovating and improving the product quality that they produce.The type of this study is an explanatory research, with population of 100 respondents that use natural indigo dyed batik from The Bluesville. The sampling used in this study is a non-probability sampling, and the sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data is collected with a questionnaire. Data analysis method used in this study are correlation, simple regression, multiple regression, and classic assumption test all using SPSS.This study concludes that the quality of a product as well as brand awareness effect on the consumer’s purchasing decision, both partial and simultants. Brand awareness variable has a higher effect than product quality variable.Based on those results, we suggest The Bluesville to improve the brand awareness level, so that the consumer will be more aware of the product and eventually increasing the purchasing decision of the natural indigo dyed batik from their company.

Abstract

Pondok Serrata Hotel survive in the midst competition by understand the wants and needs of consumers. Consumers have the factors in deciding which hotel that will be a choice, such as service quality and pricing. Existing problems  is the competition among hotels in Semarang are very tight caused Pondok Serrata Hotel’s room occupancy rate wasn’t able to achieve the target. Type of research is explanatory research. Collecting data using questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who are the dicided visitors to stay in. Selection respondents using purposive sampling with accidental method. Data analysis consisted of validity, reliability, crosstabulation, correlation, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple linear regression, t test, F test using SPSS for Windows 16.0. This study concludes, service quality of Serrata Hotel perceived good, the price was quite attractive and the consumer's decision to stay in was high. Service quality and price have positive, significant influence to the consumer’s decision to stay in either partially or simultaneously. Price gives bigger influence to the consumer’s decision to stay in rather than service quality. Suggestions can be submitted are need to regulate the strategies of parking area, increase the variety of restaurant menus, reevaluating pricing policy (discounts) so can attract consumers.

Abstract

In conducting its operational activities, Nyonya Meneer Semarang would want a good performance of the workers, especially the marketing. However this is not easy because the employees performance is affected by many factors. These factors include career development programs such as training and job mutation and other factors such as motivation.          The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of career development program in the form of training and mutation of work and motivation on employee performance of marketing Nyonya Meneer Semarang. This type of research is an explanatory research, with questionnaires, the study of literature and interviews. Tests carried out to employees of marketing with a population of 38 people using census method. This study used a qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Quantitative analysis using validity test, reliability test, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, the significance test (t test and F test) with SPSS version 20.0 software for .          The results showed that the career development program through training and job mutation (X1), and motivation (X2), partially or simultaneously affect employee performance (Y) marketing. Motivation has a greater impact in influencing the performance of employees compared to the career development program.          Based on the results of this study, researchers gave advice to the Nyonya Meneer Semarang to pay more attention to theaspects of justice when providing employment mutation, and appreciation to the employees have the achievements that the performance of employees in marketing could be better.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the rise of a variety of trade centers such as department stores, supermarkets, hypermart, etc. in Indonesia marks a change in consumer shopping behavior from traditional markets to modern market. Matahari Department Store is one of the largest department stores and always visited by most of people in Indonesia, because it has a good shop attributes. This study aimed to determine the effect of stores attribute and fashion involvement on consumer purchasing decisions in Matahari Department Store Paragon Mall Semarang.This type of research is explanatory research by data collection questionnaires. This study uses the 100 respondents who made a purchase at the Matahari Department Store Paragon Mall Semarang. The sampling technique of this study was accidental sampling and sampling is done through purposive sampling method. Test analysis tools used are validity and reliability testing. Analysis of the data used is the correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple linear regression, t test, multiple linear regression, and F test.Based on the results of analysis show that in partial stores attribute contributed the influence on purchasing decisions by 15.3%, fashion variable involvement contributes influence on purchasing decisions by 43.5%. Simultaneously stores attribute and fashion involvement contributes influence on purchasing decisions by 43.6%.Conclusion this study shows attributes and fashion stores involvement partially and simultaneously influence consumer purchasing decisions in Matahari Department Store Paragon Mall Semarang. Based on these results, Matahari Department Store Paragon Mall Semarang should be able to maintain and continuously improve the attributes of existing stores, and fashion involvement of each consumer should be able to continue to influence the purchasing decisions of consumers, as well as the need for continued research by companies and others to determine the effect of variable other.

Abstract

HSE implementation and compensation are the factors that may increase employees performance. Based on preface survey in PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR IV there are some problems about HSE and compensation that unsuitable with occupation responsibility.The purpose of study was to know HSE and compensation had influence to employees performance partially and simultaneously. The analysis used qualitatif analysis and quantity analysis that were including data quality test, crosstab, corelation test, regression test, and significant test by SPSS 20.0 software. The test results demonstrate that HSE and compensation had influence to employees performance partially and simultaneously. Based on double regression test with signification 0.020, that means HSE had influence more significant than compensation to employees performance at PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR IV. PT PERTAMINA (Persero) MOR IV should to equip the HSE tools completesly by adding masker and adjust the employees allowance with job result for increasing employees performance too.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the increasing of competition among the competitors on the notebook industry. Specifically, this research discusses the Toshiba brand notebook which is included in the top three notebook vendors in Indonesia. Toshiba notebook was experiencing decline in sales volume (2012-2013), followed by decreasing in the percentage of Top Brand Index (2010-2014). The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of customer value and brand image towards brand loyalty through brand trust in Toshiba Notebook. The type of this research is explanatory. The method of collecting data using questionnaire and interview. The technique of sampling using purposive sampling. The sample in this research is 100 respondents. Measurement scale using Likert Scale. Linear regression analysis and path anlysis were used to test the hypotheses using SPSS 16.0. The study results indicate that both simultaneously and partially, customer value and brand image have positive influence towards dependent variable, namely brand trust and brand loyalty. However, descriptive analysis of the perception of the respondents indicate that customer value, brand image, and brand loyalty still were perceived less by a few respondents. Based on the results of path analysis, the direct infulence of customer value and brand image towards brand loyalty is greater than the indirect influence of customer value and brand image towards brand loyalty through brand trust.

Abstract

This research is motivated by competition brand in Low car segment MPV. Suzuki brand car sales in 2013 based Gaikindo be in the top four nationally and has yet to reach a specified target. In particular, this study discusses the Low MPV Suzuki APV cars at PT . Arindo gedong Jembar Tegal that sales decreased in the last two years.    The purpose of research to determine the influence of brand image and promotion on purchase decisions Suzuki APV (Studies in PT. Arindo Gedong Jembar Tegal). This research method is explanatory, data collection techniques by questionnaires, observation, and literature study. Purposive sampling technique is used with a sample of 78 people. The analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative using validity, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, cross tabulation, and the significance test ( t test and F test ).    Results and discussion showed a positive influence on the brand image on purchasing decisions. Promotion positive influence on purchase decisions. Brand image and promotion jointly positive influence on purchasing decisions.    Suggestions in this study ,PT. Arindo Gedong Jembar should enhance the brand image of Suzuki APVby improve after-sales service, increase understanding of the explanation of product knowledge Suzuki APV, and also increases the intensity of the promotion through social media, outdoor media, sponsorship and giving special training about technique of delivering information for salesman and verbally skills in conveying information in order to increase the purchase of Suzuki APV cars.

Abstract

This study aimed to test the influence of Interest Rate (SBI), Exchange Rate of Rupiah, Inflation, and International Exchange Index (Nikkei 225 Index and Hang Seng Index) on Composite Stock Price Index in The Period 2008-2012. Analytical techniques used were linear regression, while hypothesis test used t - test and F - test with significance level of 5%. The classical assumptions test used in this study include normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation test. The research prove that Interest Rate (SBI) and Exchange Rate of Rupiah had a negative effect and significant to Composite Stock Price Index, Inflation had a negative effect and not significant to Composite Stock Price Index Meanwhile, Nikkei 225 Index and Hang Seng Index had a positive and significant effect to Composite Stock Price Index.

Abstract

Employee performance is a benchmark in the business of a company to achieve its objectives.Employees play a role in running the various operations of the company which will affect the company'ssuccess in achieving its objectives. Organizational culture and compensation have a role in improving theperformance of employees. Therefore, two things need to be considered in improving the performance ofemployees of PT. Textile World Merlin Delta IV. Organizational culture and compensation have an influenceeither directly or indirectly in improving employee performance. This study aims to determine the influenceof organizational culture on employee performance and compensation of the production of PT. Delta MerlinTextile World. This type of research is explanatory research, with data collection through a questionnaire,literature study and interviews. Testing is done to the production employees with a sample of 92 people usingproposionate random sampling method. The results showed that organizational culture (X1), andkompensaso (X2) partially or simultaneously affect employee performance (Y) parts production.Organizational culture has the greatest influence in affecting the performance of the employees this can beproved by the results of multiple regression test stating that organizational culture has contributed by 23,4%.While compensation has the smallest influence in affecting the performance of employees with a contributionof 11,4%.
