Abstract

Tolerance cultivar is a best control measure to reduce losses due to virus attack in the field.  Study on growth and yield of new cultivars compared to the commercial ones is an important step in cultivar development whether they will be accepted by farmers or not. The objective of this research was to study growth and yield of new chili pepper hybrids developed for CMV tolerance in comparison to a commercial and similar fruit size one. Twelve new hybrids and one commercial hybrid cultivar Prada, as a control, were evaluated in a completely randomized design with 3 replications. In the greenhouse experiment, H23 and H20 showed better vegetative growth compared to other hybrids and control. Hybrid H17 showed the highest yield followed by H5, H4 and H6.  Keywords.  growth, yield, chili pepper hybrids, CMV tolerance

Abstract

PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK RADIOGRAFI NEUTRON UNTUK MENDETEKSI SECARA CEPAT TOLERANSI  TANAMAN PADI TERHADAP CEKAMAN KEKERINGAN. Telah dilakukan penggunaan teknik radiografi neutron untuk  mendeteksi  secara  cepat  toleransi  tanaman  padi  terhadap  cekaman kekeringan. Dua jenis padi yaitu padi gogo dan padi sawah  dipilih sebagai obyek penelitian. Tanaman padi gogo yang diketahui lebih toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan dibanding padi sawah diamati perkembangan akarnya setelah mengalami cekaman kekeringan dengan mengurangi kandungan air tanahnya hingga 50% dan 25%. Pengamatan perkembangan akar tanaman diamati untuk usia tanaman 2, 3, 4, serta 10 minggu. Pengamatan dengan fasilitas radiografi neutron, RN1 di reaktor  RSG-GAS  secara  in-situ  menunjukkan bahwa untuk usia padi di bawah 4 minggu perkembangan akar tidak teramati dan  akar  mulai teramati dengan jelas pada usia tanaman 10 minggu. Hasil awal menunjukkan babwa padi gogo terbukti lebih toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan dengan profil  akar yang relatif  lebih  besar  dan  mampu  bertahan  lebih lama terhadap cekaman kekeringan dibanding dengan padi sawah. Hasil ini  menunjukkan  bahwa  teknik radiografi neutron dapat  menjadi metode alternatif untuk mendeteksi toleransi tanaman padi terhadap cekaman  kekeringan.

Abstract

The current research aims at understandicng student satisfaction level on academic adminitration service of Kependidikan Islam (KI) study program, Faculty of Tarbiyah IAIN Walisongo Semarang. There are 83 respondents as research sample. Research analysis method used in this current study is importanceperformance analysis from John A. Martila and John C. James. The study result shows two findings: 1) level of student satisfaction on academic administration service, when expectation conform with implementation, is 62,69%; and 2) level of student satisfaction on lecture and instructor service is 66,03%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan sanksi terhadap anak sebagai pelaku tindak pidana dalam perspektif restorative justice. Isu hukum yang muncul dalam penelitian ini meliputi: Bagaimana penerapan sanksi terhadap anak sebagai pelaku tindak pidana dalam perspektif restorative justice di Wilayah Hukum Polres Mataram, serta Bagaimana efektivitas penerapan sanksi terhadap anak sebagai pelaku tindak pidana dalam perspektif restorative justice di Wilayah Hukum Polres Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif dan penelitian hukum empiris berdasarkan pertimbangan bahwa selain berangkat dari Undang-undang maka peneliti juga menggali apa yang ada di lapangan terkait dengan judul yang peneliti angkat. Dapat disimpulkan, bahwa penerapan sanksi terhadap anak sebagai pelaku tindak pidana dalam perspektif restorative justice di Wilayah Hukum Polres Mataram adalah dikembalikan kepada orang tuanya sesuai dengan Pasal 11 dan Pasal 71 ayat (1) huruf b angka 3 Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012. Sedangkan efektivitas penerapan sanksi terhadap anak dalam perspektif restorative jusitce di Wilayah Hukum Polres Mataram adalah cukup efektif karena korban, pelaku dan masyarakat puas dengan penyelesaian secara restorative justice dan mengingat lahirnya Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 Tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak.

Abstract

Trees canopy as ecosystem services provided pleasantness activity for motorcycle rider broad daylight. This study was analysed of role thees canopy and drivers response at Mataram sub-district intersection. This study was carried out using the  expost pasto approach with examining the relationship of more than one free variable (extensive and criteria of threes canopy) to the comfort and level of traffic light violations at the Mataram Sub-district intersection. Results of this study indicate that tree canopies provide a pleasantness of driving and orderly traffic lights. The tree canopy at Gubernuran intersection with shady criteria, this area of the canopy covering the entire road body has a level of comfort of motorbike riders around 74.4% with a relatively small number of violations about 95.33. Whereas the Pasar Pagutan intersection has open tree canopy criteria, the motorbike driver's pleasantness response is about 62.5% the average number of violations 177. Therefore, existence of a tree canopy around the crossroads has the effect of driving comfort thereby reducing the level of violation of traffic signs.

Abstract

Pendidikan pada masa pandemi memberikan pengalaman berbeda bagi pendidik maupun siswa. Dalam keadaan darurat Covid-19, pemerintah Indonesia mengeluarkan kebijakan tentang pembelajaran jarak jauh dan pembelajaran daring agar siswa dapat belajar meski dalam keadaan social distancing. Transformasi digital guru dan siswa merupakan dampak dari proses pembelajaran selama pandemi sejak awal tahun 2020. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Sumber data adalah guru dan siswa di sekolah dasar negeri Sunter Jaya 03 Jakarta Utara. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tehnik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan instrument lembar wawancara serta catatan lapangan mengenai kegiatan pembelajaran selama pandemi covid-19 dengan menggunakan google classroom. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 80% penggunaan google classroom dalam proses belajar siswa pada masa pembelajaran jarak jauh dan pembelajaran daring lebih banyak digunakan karena alasan penggunaan kuota internet dan waktu yang lebih efisien, dibandingkan dengan menggunakan zoom atau google meet. Hal tersebut secara signifikan menunjukkan bahwa guru dapat memberikan solusi untuk pembelajaran online dengan memanfaatkan berbagai platform online salahsatunya produk google yaitu google classroom.

Abstract

AbstractA total of 98 actinomycetes were isolated from the soil and litter samples collected from the cacao and coffee plantation in Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. These isolates were screened for their antimicrobial activity. Among 98 isolated strains, only 24 isolates showed antimicrobial activity against test microorganisms of which 20.4% were active against Bacillus subtilis BTCC B-612, 14.3% against Staphylococcus aureus BTCC B-611, and 5.1% against Escherichia coli BTCC B-609. Out of these 24 isolates, 3 were found to be able to grow in medium containing 3 mM Selenium oxide of which the culture were changed color to red. Two of the best strains, L-155 and L-156, were selected for assessing production of Selenium nanoparticles. Bioreduction of selenium nanoparticles was confirmed by UV–visible spectrophotometer which showed peak between 300 and 320 nm. Biosynthesized selenium nanoparticle from isolate actinomycetes L-155 and L-156 were found to have a broad spectrum of activity against the tested microorganisms: Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Micrococcus luteus, and Candida albicans. This study showed rapid and eco-friendly synthesis of selenium nanoparticles from soil actinomycetes. Most of these active isolates revealed to possess antibacterial property.

Abstract

Rice is the main staple food for most of Indonesia's population and its need continues to increase along with the increase of population. Areal for rice production in Indonesia should be carried out on marginal land, including on saline land. An agricultural land is classified as saline land if it has a dissolved salt content condition in excessive amount that negatively affect plant growth. This paper aims to evaluate several physiological indicators of rice plants undersalinity stress by measuring the stability of cell membranes, proline compounds, and heat shock proteins. The use of these indicators can be used on several plants under stress conditions, including rice plants that experience salinity stress. The level of cell damage and production of proline compounds and production of heat shock protein were used as a measure of plant tolerance to salinity stresses. Salinity stress induces cell membrane injury that causes metabolic dysfunction, increases proline accumulation, and responds to plant proteins. Measurement of cell membrane stability, proline content and heat shock protein content in rice plants under salinity stress can be used as a reference for detecting adaptation of rice plants in saline land.

Abstract

Efforts to fulfill food demands for Indonesian to comply with population increases endorse to extend production areas to marginal lands. Sorghum which has an ability to adapt with less favourable growing environments almost has nutritional values as good as corn, but this crop is less cultivated by farmers. Adaptation mechanisms of sorghum to environmental stresses are by producing natural allelopathies. Those allelochemicals could be properly managed as natural herbicides for sorghum production in swamplands. This review aimed to describe the potential uses of allelochemicals produced by sorghum for sustainable sorghum production in swamplands. Reviews concluded that (1) sorghum is most likely suitable for swamplands due to its wide range abilities to cope biotic and abiotic stressors, (2) sorghum is able to increase the production of sorgoleone, dhurrin and phenolic allelochemicals, and (3) those allelochemical extracts could be developed as bioherbicide compounds for sustainable production of various crops.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis tentang penggunaan ragam jenis pensil untuk mengembangkan kemampuan menggambar dengan teknik arsir bagi mahasiswa PGSD UNJ. Penelitian ini melibatkan tiga gambar dari tiga mahasiswa PGSD UNJ yang telah mengampu mata kuliah Pendidikan Seni Rupa SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar mahasiswa PGSD UNJ dapat memperhatikan unsur-unsur gambar seperti titik, garis, bidang, ruang, terang-gelap, gradasi warna, dan tekstur. Selain itu, mahasiswa dapat menggunakan ragam jenis pensil seperti pensil berkode B yang terdiri dari 2B, 4B, dan 6B dalam menggambar dengan teknik arsir, sehingga menghasilkan gambar yang memiliki nilai estetika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Melalui penggunaan ragam jenis pensil berkode B ini, mahasiswa dapat memenuhi unsur-unsur gambar seperti adanya efek objek gambar terang-gelap, gradasi warna dengan saturasi tinggi hingga rendah, serta tekstur Penggunaan ragam jenis pensil dalam menggambar dengan teknik arsir dapat berkembang apabila mahasiswa dapat terus berlatih menggores beragam jenis pensil dengan tekun. Apabila unsur-unsur gambar belum terlihat pada objek gambar dengan teknik arsir, maka mahasiswa dapat berlatih menggambar kembali dengan tekun.
