INFECTION PROCESS OF Fusarium oxysporum FUNGUS: A CAUSE OF DAMPING-OFF ON Acacia mangium’s SEEDLINGS Widyastuti, Siti Muslimah; Tasik, Susanti; Harjono, Harjono

Abstract

Fusarium oxysporum is the causal agent of damping-off disease. The fungus attacks seedlings of many plant species, including Acacia mangium. In order to effectively control the disease, detailed information on how the fungus infects seedlings of A. mangium and how the plant responds to the fungal infection is essentially needed. The objectives of this research were to investigate: (1) the infection process of F. oxysporumon seedlings of A. mangium, (2) the defence response of A. mangium seedling to infection by F. oxysporum. The fungal pathogen was identified, followed by performance of pathogenicity test. The infection process was followed by macroscopic observation as well as microscopic observation. The result indicated that fungal spore germination was observed at two-day post inoculation in planta. At four-daypost inoculation, hyphae of F. oxysporum had penetrated the collar root of A. mangium seedling via stomata aperture. In addition, fungal hyphae had grown intercellulary in to the vascular tissue. Correspondingly, hypersensitive response was also detected at the stomata aperture. However, this defence mechanism is not effective in stopping the fungus since F. oxysporum is a necrotropic pathogen. Moreover, accumulation of lignin, but not callose, was observed. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui pertumbuhan, produksi dan nilai nutrisi 5 (lima) legum pohon yang ditanam tanpa pengairan dan dipangkas pada musim kemarau. Legum pohon telah berumur satu tahun pada saat penelitian dimulai. Legume dipotong paksa setinggi 150cm dari permukaan tanah untuk penyeragaman. Masing-masing masing legume terdiri atas 15 tanaman dengan jarak tanam 2x1 meter dan diperlakukan umur pemangkasan tanaman 1, 2 dan 3 bulan setelah potong paksa. Parameter yang diukur adalah pertumbuhan, produksi hijauan dan kualitas nutrisi berupa kandungan bahan kering, protein kasar, serat kasar, KcBK dan KcBO. Data dianalisis dengan analisis of varianberdasarkan rancangan acak kelompok dan perbedaan antar perlakuan dianalisis uji beda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanlegume pohon yang ditanam pada musim kemarau tetap dapat menghasilkan hijauan pakan yang baik dan disukai oleh ternak ruminansia. Kaliandra menunjukkan pertumbuhan kembali dan hijauan paling tinggi tetapi nilai kecernaan paling rendah. Legume pohon lainnya yang mendekati produksi Kaliandra adalah Turi dan Indigofera. Nilai kandungan protein legume menunjukkan nilai yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan kandungan protein legume pohon yang tumbuh pada musim hujan. Semua legume menunjukkan palatabilitas yang baik meskipun palatabilitas rendah ditunjukkan oleh Kelor dan Kaliandra. Nilai KcBK dan KcBO cukup tinggi pada Turi, Indigofera, Kelor dan Lamtoro, tetapi rendah pada Kaliandra. Disimpulkan bahwa semua tanaman legum pohon ini berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai sumber pakan ternak sapi dimusim kemarau.

Abstract

Voting adalah kegiatan yang sangat menentukan pada setiap perhelatan pemilihan, persoalan yang menjadi fokus perhatian bagi panitia penyelenggara pemilihan adalah bagaimana proses pemungutan suara dapat menjamin azas langsung, umum, bebas dan rahasia serta bagaimana hasil penghitungan suara dapat berlangsung jujur, transparan, dan dapat diakses oleh publik. Salah satu kegiatan yang belum tersentuh teknologi yaitu proses pemilihan Ketua Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS),di sekolah-sekolah semua prosesnya kebanyakan masih dilakukan secara manual, hal ini dirasa kurang efektif dengan berkembangnya teknologi sekarang ini. Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut maka dibangun sebuah aplikasi E-voting berbasis SMS Gateway. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan software Gammu dan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Sistem ini menggunakan SMS untuk melaksanakan voting, diharapkan akan memberikan hasil voting yang akurat, cepat dan terpercaya serta bisa mengurangi angka siswa yang tidak memilih dan tidak akan mengganggu proses belajar mengajar

Abstract

Computer Based Test (CBT) merupakan suatu aplikasi yang digunakan dalam penyelenggaraan ujian berbasis computer dengan kelebihan dapat menyajikan pertanyaan dan pilihan jawaban secara acak sehingga menghindari kemungkinan terjadinya kecurangan yang dilakukan oleh peserta ujian. Penelitian ini melakukan pengujian fungsi random terhadap aplikasi CBT berbasis Java dan database server MySQL dengan objek perbandingan yaitu fungsi random MySQL dan fungsi random Java Class Library. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu waktu akses pertanyaan dan kombinasi pertanyaan dan pilihan jawaban yang sama. Pengujian dilakukan dengan cara memodelkan fasilitas yang menampilkan halaman pertanyaan dan pilihan jawaban untuk mengetahui waktu akses munculnya pertanyaan dan kombinasi yang dihasilkan. Hasil perhitungan diuji melalui pengujian kesamaan rata-rata untuk mengetahui perbedaannya. Setelah dilakukan pengujian, diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan pada waktu akses pertanyaan menggunakan fungsi random MySQL dengan fungsi random Java Class Library. Rata-rata waktu akses pertanyaan dengan fungsi random MySQL sebesar 41650473.6250 nanosecond adalah lebih lama dibandingkan rata-rata waktu akses pertanyaan dengan fungsi random Java Class Library sebesar 35905823.7431 nanosecond. Namun kombinasi pertanyaan dan pilihan jawaban yang sama pada pertanyaan dengan fungsi random MySQL sebesar 63.6% adalah lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan penggunaan fungsi random Java Class Library yang mencapai persentase sebesar 65.1%.

Abstract

Job Training is a compulsory curriculum implemented by each student in Informatics Engineering Program, Engineering Department, Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. Assessment of Job Training is a process that must be done. The assessment process cannot be done if there are no examinees Job Training, so the process starts from the assessment exam registration process of Job Training. This process should be done with a practical and efficient, so as to speed up services for students. By using the tools of Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2008, Eclipse Indigo, and the C# and Java programming language, in this research resulted in the application assessment of Job Training along with the application for registration. The Application examination registration of Job Training  as well as its application administrator in the form of web-based applications, whereas Job Training assessment applications in the form of Android-based applications. This application is expected to improve academic performance in Informatics Engineering Program Engineering Department, University of Muhammadiyah   Purwokerto

Abstract

The service in the form of this training aimed at giving the training to teaching staff (the teacher) of SLTP in the Banyumas Regency about the utilisation of the computer as results of the IPTEKS development of taking the form of the internet to search some references of learning such as Edukasi-net. This training was carried out in the Multimedia Laboratory of – Informatic Technique Study Program – UMP by using the talk method, the demonstration, the interview (discussions), and the direct practice of internet access. As for intensive training time was carried out for 2 day by taking up time 16 hours from 08.00 to 16.00 each day with the number of participants 45 SLTP teachers in the Banyumas Regency. Based on the evaluation that was carried out, was received by results that 90% smooth participants in using edukasi-net to get some references, and 100% have from the number of participants had the e-mail address (the account e-mail). Participants were very enthusiastic in joining the training. From participants who joined the training, totalling 100% stated that the training that was carried out had the good and beneficial impression, so as very necessary to be followed up by the similar training activities with various contents of training material in the future especially the training in the computer field.

Abstract

Jaringan komputer memberikan banyak kemudahan dalam pengaksesan informasi antar perangkat. Namun adanya jaringan juga berdampak pada kemungkinan terjadinya gangguan  terhadap keamanan sistem . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem deteksi intrusi dengan menggunakan Snort. Pengembangan Sistem melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, instalasi sistem, konfigurasi sistem, dan Pengujian sistem. Hasilnya  sistem IDS snort sudah berjalan dan dapat mengenali paket data yang melintas dan menghasilkan alert sesuai dengan rule yang ada. Alert yang dihasilkan tersebut dapat ditampilkan dan dianalisis dalam tampilan web.

Abstract

Computer network technology is a necessity that must be applied by any organization at this time. But the connection of computers to each other can be exploited by certain parties to carry out the attack in order to obtain personal gain. This research aimed to detect attacks in the network of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto using Honeyd. Honeyd is placed on the internal network segment, with the configuration to mimic the four host operating systems and different services. Abstract

Setting up a diet for diabetics is highly recommended, because diabetes disease occurs because of unbalance metabolism on the sufferer. Setting the food intake of calorie consumption is needed as a way to maintain the stability of blood sugar in patients. This decision support system is based on the formula for calculating the calories of ordinary doctors and nutritionists use to determine a diet for diabetics in accordance with its weight. The result of this calculation is a basal calories which will then return the total calories with correction in accordance with the state of the patient, which is then divided again into the intakes of calories per consumption time such as for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. The purpose of the division so that a diet made by diabetic patients can achieve maximum results
