Abstract

This research and development aimed to produce LKPD based on ALQURUN Teaching Model (ATM), and test their effectiveness on mathematical communication skills. The subjects of this study were students of grade VII Formal Junior High School 1 Purbolinggo in period of 2016/2017. Research data obtained by mathematical communication ability test. Characteristics of the LKPD based on ATM statistical materials developed by ATM syntax, they are the acknowledge, literature, quest, unite, refine, use, and name. The result of the expert validation indicated that LKPD based on ATM meets the content, media, and language feasibility standard and appropriate for using and included in good category. The results of initial field trials and field test results presented students mathematical communication skills using LKPD based on ATM, higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who do not use LKPD based on ATM. Therefore it can be concluded that LKPD part based on ATM be effective to improving students mathematical communication ability. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa LKPD berbasis ALQURUN Teaching Model (ATM), dan menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Purbolinggo Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Karakteristik LKPD berbasis ATM pada materi statistika dikembangkan berdasarkan sintaks ATM, yaitu acknowledge, literature, quest, unite, refine, use, dan name. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis ATM telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi, media, dan bahasa serta layak digunakan dan termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hasil uji coba lapangan awal dan hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan LKPD berbasis ATM lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang tidak menggunakan LKPD berbasis ATM. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis ATM efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, LKPD, ATM.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop students worksheet based on multiple intellegences that is valid, practice and effective to improve students mathematical communication ability. This research follows Borg and Gall research. Data collection techniques in this research used are validation expert, the respons of students and mathematical communication ability test. The subject of research is students at the first semester of the 8th class at MTs N 4 Lampung Selatan in 2016/2017. Based on the analysis of data validation shows that the students worksheet by instructional design expert, material experts and students worksheet have good results. The respons of students over the students worksheet are easy to used and very interesting. The results obtained showes that the worksheets developed by learners can improve communication skills of learners based on minimum criteria of mastery learning and mathematical communication ability test. The results show that students worksheet based on multiple intellegences are valid, practice and effective to improve students mathematical communication ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis multiple intelligences yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti prosedur penelitian pengembangan Borg Gall. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah validasi ahli, respon peserta didik dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII semester ganjil MTs N 4 Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data validasi LKPD oleh ahli desain pembelajaran dan ahli materi, lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas yang baik. Respon peserta didik terhadap lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan sangat baik yaitu sangat menarik dan mudah digunakan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik dilihat dari pencapaian KKM dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis multiple intelligences yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, LKPD, Multiple intelligences

Abstract

The main objective this research is to develop effective, valid, and practical students worksheet in the terms of students mathematical communication ability. The population of this research was the whole 10th grade students in Senior High School 1 Bandar Lampung of the academic year 2016/2017. The development of students worksheet followed the procedure of Brog and Gall. Data collection techniques in this research used are validation expert, the respons of students and mathematical communication ability test. The result showed that students worksheet with the model of problem based learning had been the requirement and eligibility based on the material and media expert assessment. The result showed that the developed students worksheet could improve the ability of students in communicating mathematically that can be seen from the result of the communication test and the achievement of the students. Based on the research, developed students worksheet with problem based learning had been the criteria of being valid, practical and effective in improving the mathematical communicative ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD yang valid, praktis, dan efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pengembangan LKPD mengikuti prosedur Brog Gall. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah validasi ahli, respon peserta didik dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning telah memenuhi syarat dan standar kelayakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, dan media. Abstract

The spectral analysis of surface waves (SASW) is an in situ non-destructive testing method. It has been developed and used for many years in the fields of geotechnical engineering and site characterization. It is typically used in evaluation of elastic moduli and layer thickness of soils, rocks and pavements. This method consists of wave generation, measurement and processing of dispersive Rayleigh waves. The stiffness profile of soil media or pavement systems are determined by fitting measured dispersion data with an adjustable theoretical model of the material that depends on layer thickness and elastic moduli. The best-fit stiffness profile is usually formed with optimization techniques.This paper presents an alternative analysis of the Rayleigh waves. This alternative analysis comprises four main steps (1) determine the range of frequencies based on the best coherence value, (2) determine the dominant frequency and wave cycle for wavelength (LR) calculations, (3) calculate the attenuation coefficient for each geophones spacing and plot it versus phase velocity (VR) to produce an exponential equation, and (4) calculate the shear wave velocity from the derived exponential equation.The alternative analysis was tested at three sites i.e. Kamsis H UKM, Bangi, Bandar Sri Putra and Sri Damansara. The analysis has successfully produced an empirical exponential curve for each site. For Bandar Sri Damansara site the exponential equation obtained is α=0.0084*e-0.0014Vs, for Bandar Sri Putra α=0.0094*e-0.0015Vs and for site at KamsisH UKM α=0.0035*e-0.0007Vs. The final profile of Vs versus depth obtained for each site is compared with those of the SASW inversion analysis and Standard Penetration Test data from borehole.

Abstract

Factors involved in the mechanism of resistance of soybean to pod sucking bug R. linearis  were identified using resistant soybean genotypes, IAC-100, and IAC-80-596-2 and the susceptible variety, Wilis as a check. The role of trichomes in resistance was assayed removing trihomes from the pod shell, and seed coat  and  the resistance was determined based on the number of stylet punctures made by the bug. Seed of IAC-100 and IAC-596-2 that had longer, denser trichomes, higher crude fiber content and  suffered fewer stylet punctures than  Wilis. This suggested that denser and longer trichomes interfered with stylet piercing of the pod shell. When the trichomes of IAC-100 and IAC-596-2 were removed these genotypes were more susceptible to insect feeding. In further studies, replacement of IAC-100 and IAC-596-2 seed with seed of Wilis in the pods of resistant genotypes resulted less stylet punctures on the Wilis seed. It was concluded that denser and longer trichomes on pods along with harder pod shells acts as a physical barrier in antixenosis resistance of soybean to the pod sucking bug. Therefore, IAC-100, and IAC-596-2 genotypes have good potential for used as resistant parents in a soybean breeding program.     Keywords: resistance, pod characters, tri-chomes, antixenosis, pod stink bug

Abstract

The aim of this research and development was to find out the validity and the effectivityof developed math learning materials by PBL in developing students creative thinking ability. The subjects of this research were the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Lampung Utara. The result showed that based on the judgement of the experts on learning materials, design and media, the developed learning materials have met the requirements and eligibility standard. The result of this research of data analysis confirmed that the mean score of students learning result passed the school passing grade and it was good. Besides, through data analysis of students respon, it showed that students respon was good so that the learning process by developed learning materials could be able to develop students creative thinking. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas dan efektivitas pengembangan bahan ajar matematika dengan model PBL dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIA2 MAN 2 Lampung Utara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar telah memenuhi syarat dan standar kelayakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, ahli desain dan media. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa rata-rata hasil tes belajar peserta didik menunjukan hasil yang baik yaitu terlampauinya KKM, dan juga analisis data berupa respon menunjukan bahwa peserta didik merespon dengan baik, sehingga pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan mampu mengembangkan berpikir kreatif peserta didik.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, berpikir kreatif, problembased learning

Abstract

Cottonii seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii Doty) is one of the most important commercial sources of carrageenans which are widely used in the pharmaceuticals and food industries. A problem in the cultivation of this seaweed is the ice-ice disease, which is caused by extreme changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and seawater salinity. Gene transformation to produce Cottonii seaweed transgenics that are tolerant to environmental stress is a potential solution to this problem. Gα gene encodes for the heterotrimeric G protein α subunit is a gene that plays a role in tolerance to biotic and abiotic environmental stresses. This study aimed to: (a) introduce the Gα gene into the callus cells of K. alvarezii and regenerate transformed callus cells to transgenic plantlets; (b) determine the appropriate concentration of acetosyringone and Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain for gene transfer into the callus of K. alvarezii. The callus cells of K. alvarezii were transformed using Agrobacterium tumefaciens strains LBA4404 and EHA105 carrying the expression vector pGWB502-Gα with a CaMV-35S promoter. The calli and A. tumefaciens were co-cultivated in several concentrations of acetosyringone (20, 40, 60 mg/L). The regeneration of transformed callus cells into transgenic plantlets was successfully performed using the somatic embryogenesis technique. The results showed that the highest percentage of putative transgenic micropropagule formation occurred at the 20-40 mg/L concentration of acetosyringone. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis on the twenty transgenic plantlets indicated that the Gα gene was successfully introduced into the genomic DNA of all of them. The highest transformation efficiency was in the co-cultivation treatment of 20-40 mg/L acetosyringone (22-28%). The transformation efficiency produced by Agrobacterium tumefaciens EHA105 (23%) was not significantly different from that produced by the LBA4404 (15%).

Abstract

Microbial Transglutaminase (MTGase, EC 2.3.2.13) is an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of acyl group. Many microbial strains that produce MTGase belong to Streptomyces members. This research was aimed at cloning of a MTGase gene. PCR–based screening of ten MTGase-producing streptomyces isolates from soil in West Nusa Tenggara led to detection of one potential isolate, designated as TTA 02 SDS 14. The partial  MTGase-encoding gene (470 bp)  was amplified by PCR and sequenced. The sequence result indicate its similarity of 93 % with that of Streptomyces cinnamoneus. The 16S rRNA gene analysis showed its identity as Streptomyces thioleteus. Fosmid-based construction of a genomic library from the isolate  and subsequent screening led to the isolation of  a ~40-Kb fosmid harboring a MTGase gene.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu masalah keperawatan pada klien gangguan jiwa adalah riwayat perilaku kekerasan. Masalah ini dialami oleh 36, 64% dari klien yang dirawat di RSJ Prof. Dr. Soeroyo Magelang. Sedangkan terapi perilaku baru diberikan pada 30,34% bangsal rawat inap RSJ Prof. Dr. Soeroyo Magelang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh  terapi perilaku terhadap kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan pada klien riwayat perilaku kekerasan di RSJ Prof. Dr. Soeroyo Magelang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimen. Variabel independen adalah terapi perilaku sedangkan variable dependen adalah kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua klien riwayat perilaku kekerasan yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil secara purposive, besarnya 23 klien. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah paired sampel t-test. Variabel terapi perilaku dengan skala ukur nominal, variable kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan dengan skala ukur ordinal. Pengambilan data dengan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan tingkat baik, cukup dan kurang. Melalui uji-T didapatkan hasil p value = 0,000 pada a 5% (0.05) sehingga p value < 0,05, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terapi perilaku berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan  kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan pada klien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan pada klien setelah diberikan terapi perilaku. Kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan sebelum diberikan perlakuan tingkat baik 2 klien (8,70%), cukup 14 klien (60,90%), kurang 7 klien (30,40%). Setelah diberikan perlakuan didapatkan peningkatan kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan menjadi tingkat baik 9 klien (39,10%), cukup 13 klien (56,50%), kurang 1 klien (4,40%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi perilaku berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan  kemampuan mengontrol perilaku kekerasan pada klien.   Kata kunci : Terapi perilaku, Perilaku kekerasan

Abstract

Jawa Timur merupakan provinsi terbesar penghasil kedelai Glycine soya Merr. di Indonesia, karena memiliki luas tanam relatif tinggi sehingga menjadi penyumbang terbesar kebutuhan kedelai nasional. Dengan makin pentingnya posisi kedelai sebagai pangan fungsional, maka varietas kedelai unggul tidak semata-mata berdaya hasil tinggi, namun juga harus memenuhi pra-syarat kedelai sebagai pangan sehat dan menyehatkan, sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna serta berdaya saing tinggi.Selama 89 tahun (1918–2007) pemerintah Indonesia baru berhasil melepas lima varietas kedelai hitam dan pada umumnya merupakan hasil seleksi terhadap varietas lokal dan galur introduksi, kecuali Cikuray diperoleh dari seleksi terhadap persilangan antara galur No 630 dan Orba. Varietas kedelai hitam Detam-1 dan Detam-2 dilepas tahun 2008, hasil persilangan antara kedelai introduksi dengan varietas Wilis dan Kawi. Keunggulan Detam-l adalah berdaya hasil 2,51 t/ha, berukuran biji besar (14,84 g/100 biji), dan merupakan kedelai hitam pertama yang berukuran biji besar. Detam-2, berdaya hasil 2,46 t/ha dan menjadi varietas kedelai berkandungan protein paling tinggi di Indonesia (45,58 % berat kering) dan tergolong toleran kekeringan pada fase reproduktif.
